I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1752: 24.13 Sixth Violet Star - Restoration

The beast eggs that house the Ancient God of Chaos, Hunluan, and the World Eater, An Shizhe, were finally about to hatch after a year had passed since they had descended into this world. Though they had stayed in the human land for a whole year as an egg, they still had contact with the others. Thus, they know that the God of Destruction and the God of Void were brought back to the ancient forest where the beastmen lived. As for the two wardens, they were hidden in the small world of Hei Anjing and would reappear in this world when their masters hatched from the egg.

After the hatching ceremony had been cancelled by the marshal’s mansion, the guests had just sent the gifts over to the mansion, and most of the gifts were sent by their butlers, inquiring about the situation of the beast eggs under the young master, Long Jue. However, all the news they got was that the eggs hadn’t hatched yet when they were supposed to do so, and many nobles thought that these eggs were failures, as they expected.

Ever since the ancient forest was closed, it has been very hard to get a healthy egg without defects. That’s why, regardless of the high price, a lot of them wanted to get a beast egg in the ancient forest. However, no human had ever succeeded in coming out of the ancient forest alive.

Marshal Long Tian had no choice but to return to work after the hatching ceremony of his youngest son was cancelled. The old marshal, Long Huang, was the only one to accompany Long Juedi to wait for the two eggs to hatch.

Long Juedi asked, ”Grandfather, if these two eggs had hatched and they had no fate with me, can we just leave them be? Or if a beastman cub were truly to come of them, I wish to protect them even if they couldn’t be my contracted beast.”

”Alright. We will do as you say,” said the former marshal as he watched his youngest grandson staring seriously at the two huge eggs in front of them.

The caretakers had gone home after their working hours. Now, only the butler of the old marshal was there to serve them. The fireplace within the room had been lit, with the fire warming the room. The grandfather and grandson duo stayed all night to watch over the eggs. Eventually, Long Juedi succumbed to his sleepiness and fell asleep beside his grandfather, now using the latter’s lap as a pillow to sleep.

The old butler asked, ”Master, the young master has fallen asleep. How about turning in for tonight? It’s bad for the master’s health to stay awake this late.”

The old marshal glances at the two huge eggs in the room and sees it not moving at all and that it has passed the time they’re supposed to hatch. There is a possibility that these eggs are dead ones. He couldn’t help but sigh and thought how unlucky his grandson was to buy two dead eggs in the beast egg auction a year ago.

With a frown on his wrinkled face, the former marshal said, ”Tomorrow, ask the caretakers of these eggs to check on it. These might be dead eggs, seeing that they didn’t hatch when they’re supposed to hatch tonight.”

”Yes, Old Master,” answered the old butler.

The old marshal said, ”Have someone carry Xiao Jue back to his room.”

Thud!

Just as they were about to leave the hall, they heard the sound of something bumping into something. The two old men were startled as they turned their heads to see two eggs shaking so badly as if they were about to hatch.

Thud! Thud!

The commotion of the two huge eggs not only caused the young master to wake up but also caught the attention of everyone in the mansion. After all, what was shaking was not only the two eggs but the whole mansion itself. Even the current master, Long Tian, was affected when he was doing a video meeting in the study room.

Long Tian frowned, feeling the shaking of the house. ”Meeting adjourned!” Seeing that the situation at home was not good, the video meeting he was having just now ended abruptly because of the situation at home.

”Someone, come!”

”This servant awaits orders.” A maid came and saluted the marshal while her footing was shaking like the rest of the people in the mansion.

The current marshal said, ”What is happening? Is there an earthquake?”

”No, Master. It’s those two eggs of the young master. They’re about to hatch,” the maid answered, and the marshal hurriedly left the study room to find his son.

Back in the living room, the moment the marshal had returned, a bright light was emitted by the eggs, and the Long family heard the sound of cracking. When the light faded, they saw a beautiful silver-furred tiger with wings on its back and a crown on its forehead. No one had seen a beast this majestic and gorgeous. The three members of the Long family were all dumbfounded.

Long Juedi couldn’t help but murmur, ”So beautiful~”

But what happened next surprised them: the lion beast of the current marshal and the crippled beast of the old marshal had materialized from their beast’s nest on their own and procrastinated before this beautiful beast.

The old marshal Long Huang and the current marshal Long Tian were speechless at this scene. They had only witnessed this kind of event once during the war between the beasts and humans before. When all other beasts lowered their heads towards a certain being, this existence was simply close to the existence of the special beast in the myth. It’s the only beast in this world that has enough intelligence to converse with humans. A Beast King.

Long Huang mumbles in shock, ”A beast king cub?”

”Impossible! Can a beast king cub exist?” Long Tian exclaims as he couldn’t believe what was happening.

Long Juedi knew about the existence of the beast king and also their quirks of having intelligence to converse like humans and beastmen. The only difference is that this being doesn’t have a human form.

He couldn’t help but strike up a conversation. ”H-Hello, can you understand me?”

Long Huang and Long Tian pulled back the youngest while on guard while watching the beautiful beast before them. They waited and finally saw the silver, winged tiger open its mouth and speak human language.

Hunluan, in the form of a winged tiger, spoke: {Human cub, can you prepare a basin of warm water and a towel as well as a hairdryer?}

The three humans heard a slightly cold yet gentle voice coming from the winged tiger. They were shocked to hear and see a newly hatched beast able to speak to a human. Now they are sure that this beautiful beast in front of them is indeed a beast king. One of those frightening ones that can destroy a city at its whim.

Long Juedi, on the other hand, was delighted. At least this beautiful beast is willing to talk to him, and he was grinning as he nodded his head before running off while shouting,

”Someone, prepare my basin with warm water. Get lots of towels and a few hair dryers! Wait, I will go help you get it.”

Meanwhile, the two adult humans who were left behind couldn’t help but look at the winged tiger vigilantly. However, they knew that it was impossible for them to win against this being, seeing how terrified their beasts are in his presence. This is a beast king that could lead hundreds or thousands of beasts if it wanted to.

Hunluan spoke, {Humans, there is no need to be on guard. I may be a beast king, but I have no connection to the beasts in the barren land. I am a beast king created by that facility, and my priority is limited to a few.}

Long Huang and Long Tian noticed the small black thing cradled within the arms of the winged tiger and then looked at the two broken eggs behind it. They realized that whatever that black thing is in its arm was most likely the other beast that hatched from the other egg. Based on their color, this silver, winged tiger hatched from the silver egg, and that small black beast hatched from the black egg.

Long Tian asked, ”How can we be sure that you are telling the truth? A beast king can destroy a whole city if he wishes to!”

{That is indeed correct. However, my main ability is different,} Hunluan said as he raised a paw and pointed at the crippled lion beside the old marshal. {That crippled one, come before me.}

The crippled lion beast communicated with its master and informed him that he cannot defy the command of this beast king. He might be able to ignore the other beast king in the barren land, but not the one in front of him. His existence is akin to a beast god in their eyes. Moreover, this beast king doesn’t have malice in him and, clearly, had no intention of harming it.

”Alright. Do as you please, old friend,” said Long Huang to his contracted beast.

Only when the old marshal was convinced that the crippled lion walked over towards the winged tiger with silver fur. When the paws of the beast king touched the crippled lion beast, a golden light flashed from the crown on its forehead, which now covers the crippled lion. Under everyone’s eyes, the crippled lion beast’s missing limbs regrow, and even all its other ailments were also healed under this golden light.

Due to the connection of the old lion beast and the old marshal, the injuries and weakness of Long Huang had also healed under this golden light.

Long Tian mumbles, ”H-Healing, no... Regeneration? But it doesn’t look that simple.”

{My ability is Restoration. Returning one’s body to its original state. Nothing more and nothing else.}
