I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1751: 24.12 Sixth Violet Star - After a Year

After countless mission failures located at the ancient forest, this kind of job had become unpopular among the beast masters of this world. It didnʼt take long for the humans to realize that the words of the beastmen had become reality, and they could only treat that ancient forest as a deadly zone. Anyone who ventures from that place will never be able to return. Now, the mission to go to the ancient forest and capture some beast eggs has become a legendary job that no one wants to do.

The human race chose not to force itself into the ancient forest. However, the demand for beast eggs continues. Since the human race cannot get it from the ancient forest, they can only try to get some from the barren land where the beast lives. At least the beasts donʼt work in groups like the human race and the beastmen race. They also donʼt crowd or live together in one place. Beasts are aloof. They were used to living on their own, which makes it easier to ambush them in groups.

Their demand for beast eggs cannot be halted, so more and more humans go to the barren lands instead of sneaking around in the ancient forest. It is harder to fight an intelligent race that uses their brain to fight like humans than a beast that can only fight and fight to death.

Years had passed since the beastman race joined the war. However, unlike the other two races, they didnʼt send warriors to occupy the othersʼ land and just protected the ancient forest. Unless humans enter their forest, they wouldnʼt care about the fights outside their territories. It is for this reason that the humans didnʼt fully guard themselves from the beastmen and focused on the barren land for conquest.

The protagonist of the world had finally matured, and he had now entered the Beast Taming Academy as the worldʼs plot unfolded. The name of the beloved son of the world is Long Juedi. He is the youngest grandson of the former and current marshals of the human race, making his standing no different from a human being who had lived in the spotlight since his birth. The expectation of the human race for him was the biggest. Thatʼs why on the day his beast eggs were about to hatch, everyone gathered to watch.

At the marshalʼs mansion…

Two huge eggs the size of a small car were standing side by side, as if one could hardly separate them. One is a silver egg with a galaxy pattern, and the other is a blackish-purple egg with the same galaxy pattern. It can be said that these two eggs are mostly related. But this hatching event is one of the biggest failures in the life of Long Juedi.

Before the hatching ceremony arrived, the Long clan had visited the two eggs, which were watched over by countless healers to monitor their states. They had been monitoring these two eggs for a whole year now, and this is to ensure that the beasts will come out healthy. Long Juedi watched the egg with an excited look. He had cared for and waited for his eggs to hatch all this time. Marshal Long came with his youngest son to check the eggs.

The marshal asked, ”How are the eggs?”

”Everything is alright, Marshal! The two eggs are healthy and will be hatching soon.”

”But, Marshal, are you truly going to let people watch the process of hatching?”

The two caretakers of the eggs were questioned.

”Is there a problem? My beast, the fire lion, was born in front of everyone. It was a successful show of strength for everyone to witness,” the current marshal said. ”My fatherʼs beast, his earth dragon, was also born the same way.”

The faces of the caretakers were not good. Even though they had been watching over these eggs for a year, they realized that the beast inside was unexpectedly too smart. In short, if it didnʼt want to hatch at the destined time, the one who would lose face is the young master, Long Juedi. However, they had no intention of telling them this, as they knew that they wouldnʼt believe their words. They also had an inkling that these beast eggs arenʼt ordinary and can easily be controlled.

However, they still give them some warnings.

”We hope that the marshal will think twice. The beast eggs of this era are completely different from before, when everything was under control. No, we can hardly guess what is inside the eggs, as we didnʼt know what kind of beast they were before the beast egg was born.”

”There is also that case from a year ago. Didnʼt they say that the beastmen were also born from eggs and that their cubs were born with a beast form, but gradually can turn human after a certain period? How can you be sure that a beastman will not hatch these eggs?”

”Moreover, if a beastman was hatched in one of these eggs, then… our human race will have another war to fall into, not against the beast race this time but against the beastman race.”

The current marshal frowned when the beastmen race was once again mentioned, making his face stern and speechless. He truly didnʼt want to have anything against the beastman race. Just the countless failed missions in their territory show how hard they are to handle. They knew covert assassination and war strategies and even possessed abilities and strength ahead of humans. They even have two forms, which sometimes make them mistaken for both a beast and a human. They can play either side perfectly, and no one will know unless you tell them to transform.

The young master Long Juedi, instead, asked the caretaker of the eggs. ”Is there a way to differentiate a beast and a young beastman after hatching?”

”There is! A young beastman will always hatch as a young cub, while a beast egg will hatch into a mature beast.”

”Plus, a beastman cub is fragile at birth. Though we donʼt know about other mutations, as we have never seen a beastman egg hatch by us.”

The father and son hesitated as they truly didnʼt want their reputation to go awry at this moment. There are lots of foxes that wanted to drag down the current marshal from his position, and most of these people were from the faction that wanted to teach the beastman a lesson just for the sake of their pride. It was also most of them who had hired people to be sent to the ancient forest to get a beast egg. As if wanting to prove that words of the mixed breed had nothing to fear. However, in this whole year, no oneʼs attempts have been successful. Instead, it just proves that beastmen are stronger than beastmasters for the human race.

Now faced with a problem of probability, the current marshal and Long Jue hesitated to continue the hatching ceremony. Their conversation was also overheard by the old marshal, and gave them a way out.

The old marshal said, ”If you are truly worried, then stop the hatching ceremony. Tell them that this old man is sick and the hatching ceremony will be canceled, and then… we will watch the hatching of these two eggs ourselves. However, if a beastman cub were truly born, we need to think of a way to turn them into the beastman tribe. Do not harm it and care for them until they are brought back to their tribe.”

”Itʼs just that it would be hard for them to believe us that we didnʼt steal their cub at this time,” said the current marshal.

Long Juedi said, ”Then how about letting it grow with me, and I will explain everything until it grows up and returns home on its own?”

The adults think this plan is feasible. However, they wanted it more for this situation not to happen. Instead, itʼs too much of a headache.

”I hope more than this wouldnʼt happen instead, so there will be fewer headaches for me,” said the current marshal, Long Tian.

The old marshal, Long Huang, also leans toward his sonʼs words, as itʼs hard to make enemies with the beastman at this point, where the war between the humans and beasts is still ongoing. After all, because of the demand of humans for beast eggs, they had to enter the barren land where the beast lives. This just intensified the relationship between the two races.

”Son, I wronged you this time,” said the marshal to his youngest son.

Long Juedi smiled and said, ”Father, I know the reason. Even if these two eggs canʼt hatch a beast that is for me, I can still try again. Itʼs better to be late than sorry. I also donʼt want to intensify the war we are in. Father, you also need a rest.”

His father and grandfather were delighted that the boys were too understanding of their familyʼs situation. Even though he might look down upon the sudden cancellation of this hatching ceremony, the child didnʼt care much. For him, the safety of his family and the human race matters more.

Marshal Long Tian sent a message to the people about the cancellation of the egg-hatching ceremony, which is a tradition of all beast masters. Everyone thought that maybe there was something wrong with the Beast eggs of Long Juedi. But they didnʼt investigate much, as this situation had happened more than once this year due to the unstable route of the beast eggs.

What Long Juedi didnʼt know was that this choice made the two inside the eggs see him in a good light. Even though Hunluan and An Shizhe had been pretending to be good eggs. When in reality, they are using their systems to observe humans this whole year.

In their conversation, through their thoughts, thanks to the system link,

The world eater said, ”This brat is not bad. Compared to the one in the last world, this aborigine has no connections to any outsiders.”

”Since the child cannot sign a contract with the two of us as we are too powerful, we can only bring him to the barren and choose the most suitable beast for him,” said Hunluan as he glanced at his other halfʼs form. ”But that will wait after you leave your infant stage.”

”Dammit! Why did it have to be me who became a beastman? I have to undergo infancy, unlike you, who matured in just a year,” complains An Shizhe.

Hunluan said, ”I am a beast. My infancy stage is done inside the egg. Donʼt complain. Itʼs not like I havenʼt taken care of you as a baby.”

”Oh God! Luanʼer, please donʼt dig up my Black history,” pleads the world eater.
