His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1844: Chapter 528: Lost in Thought Over You (Part 2)

Wang Huanyu turned his head to look at his wife: ”What good deed have you done again?”

”What are you talking about?”

Wang Huanyu’s gentle words scared Qin Mingzhu to death, and she hurriedly refuted humbly.

”It’s nothing, the little girl just needs someone to talk to since there are no elders around!”

Feng Fanghua said with a kind smile.

”Exactly! Exactly!”

Qin Mingzhu nodded eagerly in agreement.

Qin Mu couldn’t help but chuckle to herself, escaping everyone’s notice, but she didn’t escape the eyes of the person beside her.

Mu Yichen glanced at the faint smile on Qin Mu’s lips, feeling as if a spring breeze swept through his heart.

He wanted to hug her, kiss her passionately, wanted to...

But now, he sat quietly at the dining table like a mysterious man uninterested in worldly matters.

After dinner, Wang Huanyu and Qin Mingzhu sat for a while before leaving. The children went to rest, and Qin Mu was soon urged by Mu Yichen to go lie down in the room.

Qin Mu felt as if she became weaker from lying down for too long.

Mu Yichen came out after taking a shower, looking at her: ”Don’t go to the studio tomorrow, wait until your health is better before going!”

Today, she had a slight fever, and Mu Yichen didn’t dare let her go to work, especially because once she’s at the studio, people would come looking for her, making it impossible for her to rest.

”Okay!”

Qin Mu thought for a moment and felt she didn’t want to go either. Today, Xiaomei called her, and there were talks about contract termination; Xiaomei conveyed her words to them, yet Qin Mu was still troubled.

So she decided not to go, just stay home and let others handle it.

”So obedient?”

Mu Yichen raised his eyes in disbelief at her answering ’um’.

Qin Mu smiled softly, gazing at his narrow eyes: ”A little tired, going to sleep!”

Mu Yichen hadn’t spoken yet, but she already lay down, turning her back to him.

Now, in Mu Yichen’s view, their only connection was still lying on the same bed, covered by the same blanket.

Mu Yichen moved to the bedside and sat down, lying down while turning off the light.

”Do you remember our marital agreement?”

”Are you trying to use the agreement on me now?”

Qin Mu asked him.

Mu Yichen sighed: ”Forget it!”

How could he bring up the agreement at this time? It was meant to restrain each other when they were bored, but facing this kind of problem, it was unsuitable to bring it up.

However, she still remembered, and Mu Yichen sighed deeply, crossing his arms, also turning his back to her, yet not closing his eyes.

The sky gradually turned gloomy, and as the temperature cooled slightly, light rain started to fall outside.

Since she slept a lot yesterday, Qin Mu woke up early today. When she reached downstairs, outside was a steady rain, she wondered what the old man was watching, was it just the scenery?

Hearing soft footsteps, the old man knew it was Qin Mu. Her footsteps were so calm and gentle in this house, like they weren’t tainted by any disturbance, making people like them.

The old man slowly turned around, seeing his granddaughter-in-law walking towards him with a smile: ”Mumu, up so early!”

”I slept a lot yesterday, so naturally I woke up early today! But it’s still not as early as you, Grandfather!”

Qin Mu stood next to him, looking at the rain outside as well, her eyes filled with sadness yet holding a hint of expectation.

”Yes, I’m old! When people get old, they sleep less, you’ll understand in the future!”

The old man nodded, agreeing with Qin Mu’s words.

He was used to waking up early, as if everything was familiar, no matter how many times he saw it. Even the rarely seen rainbows after the rain, he had seen countless times over the years.

”This rain looks like it’ll continue for a while!”

The old man said, putting his hands behind his back.

Qin Mu felt the same, but she felt the rain was late.

When Qin Haiming left, the sun was blazing, she thought it was not the right weather.

Maybe another metaphor, but she’s not sure.

As the rain fell, she felt her shoulders suddenly relax, even though her body was still weak and heavy, but her heart seemed to suddenly let go.

The old man watched her for a while, but she didn’t notice.

Later, the old man sighed softly: ”Mumu, grandfather will leave in the future too, promise grandfather not to cry, and not to be so sad, okay?”

Qin Mu’s heart trembled, but her face just tightened slightly in breath: ”Grandfather!”

”Grandfather just hopes you’re happy, everyone will leave, grandfather doesn’t want you to be unhappy when I’m gone, understand?”

She understood, how could she not? The old man just wanted her to know, Qin Haiming wouldn’t want to see her like this now.

Suddenly, Qin Mu’s eyes became moist, stepping forward to gently embrace the old man: ”Grandfather! Thank you!”

Thank you for being willing to comfort me!

The old man gently patted her back for comfort, thinking how he could give more to help her quickly overcome the sadness.

But the departure of immediate elder relatives was indeed hard to quickly get over.

And Qin Haiming’s passing was so sudden and deliberately murdered.

”Silly child!”

Mu Yichen rarely woke up later, but as soon as he opened his eyes and didn’t see her, he felt lost, immediately jumping up, looking towards the bathroom. Once he realized she wasn’t in the room, he quickly dressed and walked out, with his hair standing slightly on end.

Until he heard her downstairs talking with Huanhuan and Chengcheng, he suddenly stopped.

”Yichen? What are you standing here for?”

Qin Haiming came out of the room, seeing him standing on the stairs, asked.

Luckily, the house was big enough and Mu Zihao’s voice was light enough that the people downstairs didn’t hear their conversation.

”Nothing! I’m going back to get my phone!”

Mu Yichen replied, then turned to go back.

Mu Zihao wore casual clothes, preparing to play badminton. After his son went back, he unconsciously turned and looked, thinking what his foolish son was thinking.

Feng Fanghua had already found the rackets; there’s a ping-pong room at the far end of the first floor, equipped with all kinds of sports gear.

When Mu Zihao went downstairs, he muttered: ”Mumu, why does Yichen seem so absent-minded today, didn’t sleep well?”

Qin Mu hugged Chengcheng, turning to Mu Zihao: ”No!”

With a puzzled face, she really didn’t know whether he slept well recently, as it seems she had been falling asleep first.

”Is he sick? You should check on him!”

Mu Zihao said and walked inside.

”Okay!”

Qin Mu agreed, then looked down at her son and daughter unwittingly.

”Brother, let’s go play with Grandpa and Grandma, Mom, you go find Dad, maybe Dad had a nightmare!”

Huanhuan got up from the sofa, reached out and led Chengcheng away from Qin Mu’s embrace, also saying to Qin Mu.

Qin Mu...

”Mom, you need to really love Dad!”

Chengcheng said with a childish voice, then followed her sister to go after their grandfather and grandmother.

Qin Mu didn’t want to go upstairs, but in a blink, she found Grandfather also looking at her, and then smiled helplessly, feeling a bit weak, but thinking how much Grandfather cherished her.

”Grandfather! Do you also want me to go up and check on him?”

”He’s absent-minded because of you, it’s up to you whether or not to go!”
