His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1818: Chapter 517: Malice

”So that’s how it is. In that case, this Fan Qing is quite a smart person!”

After finishing her phone call, Qin Mu started talking with her about Fan Qing, and Luo Li commented after hearing Qin Mu’s words.

”Yeah!”

Qin Mu replied.

”But let’s not talk about her. The main reason I came to you today is to discuss a potential cooperation between our companies.”

Luo Li didn’t have any specific feelings about Fan Qing, but she had been thinking about discussing a collaboration with Qin Mu for a long time and hoped to make it happen.

”Collaboration?”

Qin Mu looked at her with curiosity but remained habitually cautious.

”Yes! I’ve heard that you haven’t taken on any new clients lately, so you must have time to work with me. I know you’ve always looked down on me, but now that I’m done with that old man, I’m truly relying on W Design Company. You have to help me out, big sister!”

Luo Li lightly placed her hand on the edge of the table, holding it delicately with two fingers as she spoke to Qin Mu.

”But we’re both independent companies. How do you propose we collaborate?”

Qin Mu sipped her tea and asked her.

”I want us to organize a show together and invite some big celebrities to help with the promotion.”

Luo Li said to Qin Mu.

”But I don’t have any plans to do a show in the next two years.”

Qin Mu wasn’t particularly interested; she seemed to be a bit laid-back this year.

”Saying these things makes you seem distant from me, doesn’t it?”

Luo Li gently swirled her tea, asking Qin Mu while looking at her with sincere eyes.

On her way back, Qin Mu was still thinking that this matter wasn’t particularly significant, but she would need to discuss it with Jian Yan. Moreover, if she agreed, she’d be busy again for the latter half of the year.

Everyone had been quite leisurely this year, thinking they could finally take a break after several busy years.

But Qin Mu thought it over again, and figured that if there was money to be made, everything could be negotiated.

When Qin Mu got home, Mu Yichen’s car was still parked at the gate. During this dinner, Mu had called her exactly three times: once when she just sat down, once in the middle of the meal, and once when Luo Li was reluctant to part ways with her.

Thankfully, those calls from Mu Yichen made Luo Li let her go home early.

Qin Mu drove her car next to Mu Yichen’s, rolled down her window and said, ”Hey! Mr. Mu! Waiting for someone?”

Mu Yichen gazed out of the car window with gentle eyes, even his eye corners were filled with affection. He started his car and drove in first.

Qin Mu followed his car, closing her window and driving leisurely, until she parked the car in the lot.

After Mu Yichen got out, he walked to the passenger side, leaned against the car, and lit a cigarette. When Qin Mu got out without her bag, she opened the door and leaned onto him, closing the car door with her foot.

”The person Mr. Mu was waiting for is back!”

Qin Mu wrapped her arms around his waist, smiling sweetly.

Mu Yichen squinted his eyes, took a puff of the cigarette, and suddenly grasped the back of her head, bending down and forcefully kissing her, blowing all the smoke into her mouth.

Qin Mu pushed against his waist with all her strength, but her head was held firmly by him, unable to move.

It wasn’t until she almost choked that Mu Yichen finally showed some mercy, letting her catch her breath. As he looked at her with a mischievous gaze, he took another puff and gently blew out a white cloud of smoke, slightly closing the distance between them, but not going too far this time.

Furious, Qin Mu grabbed his chest and bit down hard, ignoring the fabric between them.

Instinctively, Mu Yichen raised his hand and clutched the back of her head again, causing her to lose her bite and nearly suffocating her.

”Mu Yichen!”

After he let go, Qin Mu couldn’t hold back and shouted.

Seeing Qin Mu so angry, Mu Yichen suddenly burst into laughter.

Qin Mu looked up at him with smart eyes, watching him laugh so joyfully. She angrily kicked his shin, ”You’re the worst!”

Having said that, Qin Mu turned to leave, but Mu Yichen casually stopped her and pulled her into his arms, lowering his eyes and looking at her seriously, full of tenderness, gazing at her deeply with affection.

Suddenly, the whole world seemed to fall silent.

Qin Mu listened to his strong heartbeat, feeling the deep affection in his eyes. She sighed softly, and in that moment, all her anger dissipated.
