His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1833: Chapter 523: Her Hand Gently Resting on the Back of the Chair (2)

After lunch, Qin Mingzhu wanted to go back for a nap. Helian Hao intended to take her back, but she said she’d take a taxi. Helian Hao didn’t insist, and then drove Qin Mu back. On the way, Qin Mu said nothing, just stared out the window, leaving Helian Hao uncertain of her thoughts.

”Mumu, you also said that what’s past is past. For the future, I advise you not to be willful.”

Helian Hao spoke to her as he drove.

Qin Mu remained quietly listening.

Initially, Helian Hao thought Qin Mu was upset about her father’s passing, but now he realized she had many issues.

”Take care! See you!”

After Qin Mu got out of the car, she said to him, knowing she wouldn’t hear anything else, Helian Hao left without further words.

Qin Mu stood at the studio’s entrance. It was only when Helian Hao’s car disappeared in the distance that she entered the studio.

”Qinqin, someone came saying they want to terminate the contract with us.”

Xiaomei hurriedly approached Qin Mu as soon as she returned. Qin Mu was puzzled for a moment, then recalled what Helian Hao mimicked at the restaurant about Zhang Hongyun’s words and nodded: ”Got it! Get me a cup of coffee!”

Xiaomei nodded and went to make coffee while Qin Mu moved towards the reception area.

”Miss Qin, it’s been a while since we last met!”

The middle-aged man was one of their major clients. Qin Mu nodded, ”Hello, Mr. Zhang, please take a seat!”

The man adjusted his trousers and sat down. Xiaomei had already prepared tea for him. Qin Mu glanced down; it was just an ordinary tea from their place, which made her smile internally. Xiaomei was indeed playful, which was quite charming.

”I heard you wanted to terminate the contract with us?”

Qin Mu asked softly, very politely.

”Yes, doing business has become increasingly tough over the years. I plan to focus on mid-range products, so I ask Miss Qin to understand.”

Mr. Zhang nodded, appearing easygoing and somewhat pitiful.

Qin Mu smiled slightly, looking at what he was wearing: ”If you want to focus on mid-range products, I won’t stop you. But do you have any other reason to convince me to terminate the contract with you? You know there’s only a few months left until our contract ends.”

”Don’t worry, I’ll pay the penalty without missing a cent.”

Upon hearing Qin Mu mention the contract duration, Mr. Zhang immediately became generous.

Qin Mu unconsciously smiled again.

This talk, is it that business has become difficult, or has it been too good? The penalty isn’t a small sum.

Could it be that someone thinks she’s done for because of her father’s passing?

Are these people out of their minds?

But if previous collaborations were all due to her father’s reputation, then these clients...

”Alright! Since you insist, then we’ll terminate the contract!”

Qin Mu suddenly agreed straightforwardly.

Mr. Zhang raised his eyes in surprise, thinking Qin Mu would hold onto him.

”But the penalty, you have to pay me, and don’t miss a cent!”

Qin Mu saw him so surprised and smiled as she spoke.

”Of course! Absolutely!”

Mr. Zhang agreed repeatedly, but felt rather puzzled.

Having already said such things, he couldn’t bring himself to retract them, so he stood up: ”How about we set a date to terminate?”

”Once the contract is prepared, I’ll give you a call, how’s that?”

Qin Mu agreed and stood up.

Seeing her stand, Mr. Zhang had no choice but to stand too, his backside seemed heavy, rising slowly.

”Alright! I’ll wait for your call!”

”Don’t worry, I won’t keep you waiting too long!”

Qin Mu continued to smile warmly.

Mr. Zhang nodded and said nothing further, smiled awkwardly, and turned to leave.

Qin Mu stood by the sofa, not bothering to see him off. After he left, the smile on Qin Mu’s face disappeared, leaving her standing seriously, thinking about some matters.

This Mr. Zhang is the first one, but could he not be the last?

When Xiaomei appeared with the coffee, noticing Mr. Zhang was gone, she slowly approached: ”Qinqin, resolved?”

”Yes! Do you remember the firm Tan Yiwen mentioned at Qiao Yi’s house last time?”

Qin Mu replied and then asked her.

”Uh, yes, do you want to find him?”

”Call him and ask him to come over!”

Qin Mu said and then turned to go upstairs.

Xiaomei still held the coffee there, noticing Qin Mu seemed somewhat anxious. She then planned to call that firm, but upon glancing down at the coffee in her hand, she sighed helplessly.

Once Qin Mu starts working, she forgets these things.
