Chapter 355: Chapter 353: Slaying the Beasts

Xiao Tian raised his sword and struck. A flash of silver light severed the bear’s arm in the blink of an eye.

The bear’s arm was now like a broken faucet, spraying blood as it let out a painful roar.

This time, the bear’s roar was obviously not filled with the same rage and bravado as before, but rather with pain.

”Hmph, just as I guessed.”

Xiao Tian stood on a large boulder, looking down at a group of beasts below him, numbering about a dozen. Each one was tall and extraordinary, clearly beyond the bounds of normal beasts—a group of mutant beasts.

He and Melinda had just ventured deep into the jungle when they suddenly sensed a violent aura surging nearby, accompanied by gunfire. Following the sound, Xiao Tian arrived at the present scene.

Xiao Tian scrutinized the beasts, finding them somewhat familiar. With further thought, he recalled encountering some mutant beasts recently in the forests of Somalia, though those were not as impressive as the current ones.

”The ferocity emanating from these beasts matches this weapon. It seems the rumors about the mist aren’t false...” Xiao Tian murmured.

Upon Xiao Tian’s arrival, a crony next to Colin immediately recognized him and hurriedly pointed to Xiao Tian, saying to Colin, ”Boss, it’s him! He’s the one who took out many of our brothers!”

”Him?” Colin, who had thought himself doomed moments before, took a few deep breaths due to the sudden turn of events, and his gaze fell upon Xiao Tian.

”This man...” Colin looked at Xiao Tian’s figure, feeling an inexplicable familiarity.

”Roar——————!!!”

The silence didn’t last long. The bear, furious after losing its claws to a human, opened its bloody mouth and roared skyward. With its remaining paw wildly swinging, trees toppled and boulders shattered wherever it passed.

Xiao Tian observed the bear, sneering, ”This beast still seems unconvinced?”

Boom!

At this moment, following a loud roar, the bear suddenly burst forth with extreme speed. Its massive paw stomped the ground with a thunderous crash, shaking the entire area!

Then, like a dark phantom, the bear charged at Xiao Tian with its enormous paw extended in fury.

A strike capable of tearing a vehicle to shreds!

Xiao Tian stood atop the rock, watching the bear approach while a massive shadow appeared at his feet.

Without rushing, Xiao Tian moved just as the bear drew near. Holding his dagger tight, he leapt without fear, swinging the dagger at the bear’s paw in fury.

Clang!

Xiao Tian’s dagger collided with the bear’s sharp paw in an explosive clash. The two were locked in a stalemate, unable to advance further.

At this moment, a flux of Inner Qi emerged in Xiao Tian’s hand. With a chilling gaze, he leaned forward and thrust his dagger with force. Under immense power, sparks flew from the tip, and it drilled through the bear’s paw like an electric drill.

Amidst the air, a resounding ”boom” echoed. Under the dagger’s overwhelming force, the bear’s remaining paw was severed and flew off.

”Roar....”

The bear’s eyes rolled. Despite being mere beasts under the fog’s control, inherently violent, their primal instinct—fear—told them that the man before them was undoubtedly dangerous!

Unfortunately, it only realized this after losing both arms. The bear let out a low roar and immediately turned to flee.

”Hiss hiss....”

”Trying to escape? Let you continue harming others here?”

Xiao Tian took out his dagger, swiftly darting like a black shadow. With a swift slash from above, like lightning, the dagger pierced the bear’s chest, leaving a massive gash that ripped it open. Ultimately, the bear spurted dark green blood and collapsed onto the ground.

”Killed....killed??”

Sitting at the rear in great distress, Colin watched Xiao Tian’s maneuvers. A group of them widened their eyes in shock, as the bear, unscathed by gunfire, was swiftly dealt with by the man as if slaughtering a chick.

Such terrifying means evoked a strong sense of icy coldness among the observers.

At this moment, Colin’s body trembled uncontrollably. Watching Xiao Tian’s figure, he felt an overwhelming sense of familiarity.

Previously, while part of a mercenary group in Europe, Colin seemed to have seen the same figure..... As Colin finally recalled the identity of the man before him, his pupils dilated and his face turned pale!

----

After Xiao Tian dealt with the bear, the scene gradually grew quiet. Though there were many beasts present, witnessing Xiao Tian’s ruthless prowess made them circle around, with none daring to advance.

”Roar roar...”

Perhaps due to extreme hunger, drool dripped from the fangs of these beasts. The presence of numerous corpses with their bloody scent stimulated their appetite, driving them to endure hunger no longer and begin moving tentatively.

Several beasts exchanged glances, forming an apparent agreement—soon, their crimson gazes were fixed on Xiao Tian. The beasts aggressively leapt towards him, appearing ready to tear Xiao Tian to pieces!

Swish!

The beast attacks were swift and unhesitating. In almost no time, countless beasts had charged forward, trampling the surrounding trees to bits.

”Ignorant beasts.” Watching the beasts charge at him, Xiao Tian muttered angrily before moving swiftly, leaping into action with Void Stepping-like agility.

Xiao Tian seemed to glide through the air, vaulting ten meters in a single leap and soaring above the beasts. Extending his right leg, he aimed furious kicks at the heads of several beasts below.

”Crack!”

Sounds of skulls cracking echoed throughout the valley.
