“En…” Responding to the greeting with a nod, Yu Zi Yu raised his gaze and looked at the largest Polar Bear Leader among the hundreds not far away.

*Crackle…* The instant both made eye contact, the air trembled slightly as an electric arc flickered.

“Do Lightning-Attribute Mutant Beasts begin to touch the Spiritual Field at this level?” Yu Zi Yu muttered to himself.

Nonetheless, he did not attach much attention to it.

The Spiritual Field might be formidable, but it primarily neutralises Human technologies. When facing opponents of the same level, the Spiritual Field did not play a significant role.

As such, Yu Zi Yu did not attach much attention to this ability.

At this moment, looking at the nearby giant Polar Bear with lightning patterns, Yu Zi Yu smiled and straightforwardly greeted, “Welcome, guests from afar.”

“…” The Polar Bear Leader was taken aback at the sound of voice in his mind, and then looked at Brewmaster on the side.

However, seeing Brewmaster’s stance of enjoying the show, the Polar Bear Leader raised his eyebrows slightly.

[Is this guy still holding a grudge about the alcohol incident this morning?] the Polar Bear Leader thought to himself, feeling a bit helpless.

Immediately after, he turned his gaze to the top of the mountain, where the crystalline towering giant tree, as if made of ice crystals stood, and stated in an earnest voice, “Greetings, Divine Tree. I led my tribe here and I hope that you take care of us.”

“But of course.” Smiling, Yu Zi Yu realised that Brewmaster must have told the Polar Bear Leader something about him, and even made some promises.  Otherwise, this Polar Bear Leader would not be so straightforward.

Thinking about this, Yu Zi Yu shifted his gaze to Brewmaster.

As if noticing Yu Zi Yu’s gaze, Brewmaster stepped forward and explained in a straightforward manner, scratching his head, “Divine Tree, they, the Polar Bear Tribe, will never submit… Currently, I’ve negotiated an alliance with them…”

Having mentioned this, Brewmaster lowered his voice, as if whispering a secret, and continued, “But there’s a condition… full boarding and lodging…”

“Hmm…” Yu Zi Yu was rendered speechless, taken aback. [Full boarding and lodging—is that even a condition?]

However, after a moment of thought, realisation dawned upon Yu Zi Yu.

The Polar Bear Tribe was not like other Mutant Beast Tribes.

As a species dwelling in Siberia and even in the North Pole, the Polar Bear Tribe has always faced a shortage of food. The wine given by Brewmaster was something they had never tasted. As such, the request of this Polar Bear Tribe leader was naturally not high.

Thinking of this, Yu Zi Yu looked at the Polar Bear Leader and agreed right away, “I will accept the promises made by Old Ninth, naturally.”

With that said, Yu Zi Yu made an additional promise, “Not only that, if you want territory in Misty Mountains, I will also create a region of extreme cold for your territory.”

For these Mutant Polar Bears, the environment hardly controlled their life and death, but as Ice-Attribute Mutant Beasts, they naturally favoured a cold climate.

And just so it happens, Yu Zi Yu had an ability to make it come true—Snow Storm.

With this ability, Yu Zi Yu can turn a part of Misty Mountains into a land of bitter cold

Meanwhile, hearing Yu Zi Yu’s agreement, the Polar Bear also nodded calmly.

“Thank you, Divine Tree,” thanked the massive Polar Bear Leader, patting his chest. “Please rest assured, as allies, our Polar Bear Tribe is absolutely reliable.”

“Reliable, huh?” Watching the Polar Bear Leader with a simple and honest look, Yu Zi Yu could not help but laugh. The current appearance of the Polar Bear Leader was a bit comical. Clearly, he was on all fours, but when patting his chest, he raised his front paw and had a serious look on his face.

It looked a bit amusing, involuntarily eliciting laughter from the onlookers.

Of course, Yu Zi Yu’s laughter carried no malicious intention.

And the Polar Bear Tribe Leader did not seem to care about his comical appearance. Yet, just because he did not care did not mean Yu Zi Yu would not express it.

After thinking for a moment, Yu Zi Yu looked towards the distant city-sized giant Octopus.

The next moment, with a crisp sound, a giant tentacle, hundreds of meters long, broke off.

Then, with a sweep of his silver-white branches, it was brought to the arctic island.

In a moment, under the somewhat astonished gaze of the Polar Bear Leader, an enormous Python-like gray tentacle descended from the sky.

“This is the flesh and blood of a Tier-3 Transcendent Creature, your food for the time being.”

“The flesh and blood of a Tier-3 Transcendent…”

The Polar Bear Leader was slightly startled. But looking at the descending gray tentacle, he did not hesitate but rather expressed rare excitement, “Thank you, Divine Tree…”

Immediately after, he raised his right paw, from which crackling lightning bolts surged, spreading outward.

The next moment, a giant silver-white net with a blue tint, dozens of meters long, stretched across more than half of the sky.

From a distance, this Polar Bear, holding lightning in its paw, truly resembled a God of Lightning, imposing and extraordinary.

Following that, to Yu Zi Yu’s surprise, the gray tentacle was wrapped in the net created out of lightning, and then slowly descended to the ground.

[He has excellent control over lightning.] Secretly praising in his mind, Yu Zi Yu once again acknowledged the prowess of this Polar Bear Leader.

[Even when facing me, his voice is resolute and resounding. And his strength is extraordinary as well. He has all the qualities to be a great general. Isn’t there a saying, one with a heart like lightning but a face as calm as a tranquil lake is worthy of being revered as the highest-ranking general? This saying is truly the most accurate portrayal of this Polar Bear Leader.]

[On another note, there is one thing worth considering, though. If this Polar Bear Leader evolves in the future, he should follow Old Second’s path, choosing a Humanoid form. This would be beneficial for his battles. It would allow him to better utilize his talents. It would be grossly inconvenient for him to fight with its two claws while moving on all fours.]

Thinking about this, Yu Zi Yu felt it necessary to formulate a complete evolution plan.

Atavism-Type Evolution.

Human-Form Evolution.

Bloodline Evolution.

Beast-Form Evolution.

…

Until now, the entire Misty Mountains have witnessed four types of evolution.

No need to mention Atavism-type Evolution and Human-Form Evolution.

Sarcosuchus and Bull Demon were typical examples.

As for Bloodline Evolution, it was more like a heritage, for instance Nine Tails. Some traces could also be seen on Golden Monkey.

And Beast-Form Evolution involved maintaining the unchanged appearance of a beast while evolving towards a more perfect direction. For example, the Armored Wild Boar, Honey Badger, and etc.

They have always been continuously tempering themselves, looking no different from before at first glance.

If there was a difference, it was that they had grown in size, and acquired some unique organs and even scales that were not present before the Era of Transcendence.
