*Rooaar..* A roar reverberated through the sky, shaking the world. Even the frozen sea kept shattering under its resulting shockwaves.

Yet, just at this moment…

With a deafening crash, a massive gray tentacle appeared under the frozen layer of sea.

Even just the shadow that appeared was hundreds of meters long, and upon closer inspection, the gray tentacle had numerous strange things resembling suction cups.

“Interesting.” Yu Zi Yu smiled as his secondary root tore through the island and slammed straight toward the tentacle.

The secondary root was like a kilometer-long Dragon. Countless whiskers-like rootlets were hanging on its massive body, dancing along the wind.

Upon closer inspection, it was revealed to be shimmering in a green glow.

The secondary root was one of Yu Zi Yu’s most powerful weapons in his arsenal. Whether it was in the strength category or defense category, it was a solid Tier-3.

At this moment, the root blanketed the sky before tearing through the dim sky, creating raging gales.

The next moment…

*Boom!* A tentacle shooting from the deep sea, and a green-glowing root coming down from the sky collided with each other with a deafening crash.

*Crackle…*

Bolts of lightning, like in a storm, streaked across the sky and struck down on the sea.

At this moment, the Spiritual Fields of the two Tier-3 Transcendents began a new round of collision. An unimaginable heaviness filled the air, as if the very air was frozen, causing countless Mutant Beasts to feel suffocated.

Their visions were filled with the sight of two massive bodies, akin to a Dragon and a Serpent, colliding between the sky and the sea.

And this was just a collision of a part of their massive bodies.

At this moment, the moment when the tentacle and root collided with each other, the storm they stirred up alone swept through thousands of kilometers.

And everywhere the storm passed, it shattered the ice into pieces…

Countless frozen Mutant Sea Creatures were torn to shreds by the raging winds before they could even react.

In a flesh, a dense, nauseating smell of blood slowly filled the air.

Meanwhile, the corner of Yu Zi Yu’s lips rose into a smirk as he muttered in a playful tone, “You wanna clash with me?”

With a playful smile, the fine rootlets on Yu Zi Yu’s secondary root kept growing longer and longer. In an instant, they turned into tens of thousands of threads, shooting toward the massive gray tentacle.

*Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh…*

And as the rootlets pierced into the tentacle, Yu Zi Yu felt a surge of raging Spiritual Energy gushing into him.

After the Mutated Roots were upgraded to Level 3, they gained the ability to steal the opponent’s Spiritual Energy through physical contact.

It was a formidable, and a bit vicious ability.

Surprisingly, this ability proved highly effective against Mutant Beasts and Mutant Sea Creatures. It could even be called the nemesis of massive Mutant Beasts.

However, things took an unexpected turn this time.

Because, at this moment, Yu Zi Yu felt a terrifying suction force emanating from the enormous gray tentacles.

“Oh?” Yu Zi Yu narrowed his eyes as a line of information entered Yu Zi Yu’s sight.

Unique Abilities: Lethal Suckers –   Any enemy ensnared by these suckers will struggle to break free and gradually face absorption. This absorption is not limited to their Spiritual Energy; even their physical body is not exempt.

[Hmmm…] A myriad of thoughts raced in Yu Zi Yu’s mind, as a sense of helplessness welled up within him. [As expected, Tier-3 Transcendents are not that easy to deal with.]

In just one clash, not only it blocked Yu Zi Yu’s ultimate move, but even counteracted it.

Unfortunately, the gap in Spiritual Energy would prove to be its downfall.

*Boom…* As Yu Zi Yu continuously raised his Spiritual Energy, an even more terrifying burst of Spiritual Energy surged from the gray tentacle.

Yu Zi Yu did not raise his Spiritual Energy too much, but it was not that little either.

Every time he raised it by just over a thousand Spiritual Energy.

As time passed, the rate at which Yu Zi Yu’s tree root absorbed Spiritual Energy became even more terrifying, until he devoured almost all of its Spiritual Energy.

However, just at this moment, seemingly noticing this…

*Rooaar..* With another terrifying roar, several shadows emerged beneath the ice layer of the sea. The next moment, with deafening crashes, several gray tentacles, no less formidable than before, shot out from the depths of the sea, piercing through the ice covering the sea.

*Boom, boom, boom…” Amidst the deafening sounds of successive collisions, Yu Zi Yu’s secondary root appeared to be locked in place. At the same time, Yu Zi Yu felt a tremendous force acting on his secondary root.

Surprisingly, the Octopus monster wanted to drag Yu Zi Yu into the depths of the sea.

“How interesting…” A smile appeared on Yu Zi Yu’s lips, not concerned by the entire ordeal.

It would have never occurred to the Octopus monster that Yu Zi Yu’s roots were rooted deep in the earth, ten thousand meters below the surface. At such a depth, not to mention this Mutant Octopus Monster, even if several more came, it would be of no use.

This was Yu Zi Yu’s greatest constraint but also one of his biggest advantages now.

He was as settled as Mount Tai, nothing could shake him.

However…

As if thinking of something, the corner of Yu Zi Yu’s lips rose with a hint of mockery.

The Mutant Octopus Monster might have locked Yu Zi Yu’s secondary root, but it also meant that it was also locked by Yu Zi Yu.

Thinking this, Yu Zi Yu’s secondary roots tore through the sky, slammed toward those tentacles.

*Boom, boom, boom…”

The next moment, deafening collisions like peals of thunder shook the sky in succession. Looking from afar, it looked as if several colossal creatures, resembling mythical Dragons, were engaged in a life-and-death struggle in the sky.

In the aftermath, Yu Zi Yu had successfully entrapped a few other tentacles of the Mutant Octopus Monster with his secondary roots.

Be that as it may, it was not enough.

Given the Mutant Octopus Monster’s strength of Tier-3, it would definitely not mind abandoning its tentacles and fleeing for its life if it truly encountered a life-threatening crisis. In other words, Yu Zi Yu had to ensure that the Mutant Octopus Monster was suppressed or completely obliterated before it detected any life-threatening danger.

Thinking of this, Yu Zi Yu intentionally reduced the output of Spiritual Energy and even removed some of the secondary roots’ defenses…

*Rooaar..* The Mutant Octopus Monster lurking in the deep sea emitted an inexplicable roar, relishing an indescribable and delightful taste.

Its suckers were devouring flesh.

No, not flesh, but a taste even better than flesh, exquisite beyond words.

And with this devouring, the Mutant Octopus Monster even felt its Spiritual Energy becoming more concentrated, and its body stronger.

“Morrrreeee…”

With each roar, those red lanterns-like crimson eyes flickered with intense greed.
