At this moment, he focused his gaze slightly, before a rather luxurious status screen entered his sight.

Race: Mutant Willow Tree

Rank: Tier-3 Transcendent (Catastrophe)

Evolution Points: 4,202,399 (Can be obtained by absorbing unknown energy and refining under the sunlight, or by preying on other animals, even plants, and extracting from them.)

Innate Talent:

Superb Regeneration (Level 3) – A terrifying talent unique to the plants. It greatly enhances the speed of regeneration. Even if relatively fragile parts like branches are damaged, they can regenerate in an instant with the help of the surging energy in the body. (Upgraded Regeneration Ability – Even if the majority of the main body or roots are destroyed, you can slowly regenerate through the remaining fragments.)

Seeds of Life (Level 3) – You can now use your Spiritual Energy to nurture seeds. It utilizes one’s Spiritual Energy as the source of life to give birth to seeds. These seeds can grow into trees at such astonishing speed that a vast, ancient forest can be created within moments.

Abilities: Mutated Branches (Level 4) – While they can be easily manipulated at will, these terrifying branches can also secrete a toxin that can paralyze and even render their prey unconscious. Moreover, they can split and grow, undergo a quantitative transformation, growing from one to ten, ten to hundred, and so on…and different Elements can also be attached to them.

Mutant Roots (Level 3) – Each root is as dreadful as a Flood Dragon. They can absorb plants and animals as nutrients. What’s even more terrifying is that upon contact with plants and animals, these roots can also extract Spiritual Energy, which further strengthen their ability to strangle their prey.

Spiritual Field – The concentration of a million Spiritual Energy can even distort magnetic fields, which in turn ripples through reality, affecting the surroundings.

Mastery of Mist (Level 3)…

Illusory World (Level 3)…

River of Earth (Level 3)…

Flying Willow Leaf Blade (Level 3)…

Blood Covenant (Level 3)…

Snow Storm (Level 1) – You can manipulate wind and snow and wind your own power, thus affecting weather around you, creating an intense and harsh winter…(when a howling wind carries snowflakes pouring down, there is only one possibility, it will strike again)

Wood Dragon (Level 1)…

Minor Divine Ability:

Crystallization (Entry Level) – By harnessing the power of the earth, one can crystallize parts or even the entirety of the body. This crystal-like body can significantly enhance one’s defenses. If mastered, one can truly become indestructible. It would be next to impossible to destroy its user, unless attacked by another Divine Ability.

Feather Firestorm (Entry Level) – Gathering an immense amount of Fire Element in the sky, one can create a massive deep-red vortex. Within this vortex, an unending flurry of flame feathers keeps materializing, until they come down from the sky, incinerating everything. It is a terrifying offensive divine ability.

With a quick glance, Yu Zi Yu had gone through the entire status screen.

In the end, his gaze could not help but linger on two abilities; Blizzard and Wood Dragon.

“They are still at Level 1?” Self-deprecating, Yu Zi Yu couldn’t help but feel a bit helpless.

He was so immersed in cultivation lately that he had forgotten about the two abilities he had recently acquired, as well as the most fundamental ability: Wood Dragon.

Blood Covenant was fine. After signing the covenant with Aisha, Yu Zi Yu could feel a distant but obscure connection.

It was cryptic and blurry but had always been there.

If Yu Zi Yu’s guess was correct, Aisha had already returned to the Alliance of Southeast Asian Nations as this connection was even more obscure than before.

Yu Zi Yu shook his head, paying not much attention to her. After all, she was just one of his pawns. Compared to other Mutant Beasts, Aisha was more like a tool than anything else. Still, the fact that she could help him harvest Evolution Points did raise some expectations.

Thinking about it, Yu Zi Yu couldn’t help but smile.

Having such an Apostle was indeed not bad. At least, he could gain some Evolution Points while lying down.

At this moment, Yu Zi Yu focused his gaze on the other two abilities, Blizzard and Wood Dragon.

“Level 1, seems a bit unsightly.” Uttering a light remark, Yu Zi Yu didn’t hesitate. In an instant, his Evolution Points disappeared like running water.

At the same time, Yu Zi Yu felt a cold sensation welling up deep within him.

The next moment, with a thunderous boom, a snow storm started blowing around Yu Zi Yu’s tree body. Looking from a distance, the snow of the entire island, with Yu Zi Yu as the center, started undulating.

It was as if an invisible giant hand was stirring the snow.

It was eerie and terrifying.

Mastery of Snowstorm (Level 3) – You can control local snowstorms and influence the weather, creating a blizzard of extreme cold.

In a breath, tens of thousands of Evolution Points were consumed as Yu Zi Yu directly upgraded Snow Storm from Level 1 straight to Level 3.

He had plenty of Evolution Points; he didn’t mind using these tens of thousands of Evolution Points.

More importantly, this ability would not fundamentally enhance Yu Zi Yu’s combat power, and its bonuses in various aspects were not very significant.

If he were to upgrade like roots or mutant branches, the consumption of Evolution Points would be terrifying.

Thinking about this, Yu Zi Yu’s gaze finally settled on the last Level 1 ability, Wood Dragon.

Wood Dragon – The primary root was like a Wood Dragon, constantly diving deeper into the earth. As it kept getting deeper and deeper, its hardness increased, and so did the absorption speed of Spiritual Energy.

This was a highly formidable ability, and it was also the very method that had kept Yu Zi Yu in a stalemate with China.

Thanks to this ability, Yu Zi Yu could shake the tectonic plates through his primary root, triggering widespread earthquakes.

Not to mention, destroying towns and cities, but coupled with the terrifying beast tide, Yu Zi Yu could reduce half of China into ruins.

Of course, the cost of doing so was not only something China could not bear. It was also something Yu Zi Yu himself could not bear to do.

If he pushed China too hard, and they decided to fight it out, Yu Zi Yu, even with his overwhelming strength, would still find it difficult to resist.

After all, even Ants could bite an Elephant to death.

Moreover, China was home to hundreds of millions of people…

“After all, Wood Dragon is not a lethal ability; it’s more for cultivation…” muttering to himself, Yu Zi Yu could not help but feel helpless.

A while ago, when he had not yet grown, he naturally prioritized enhancing lethal abilities.

For example, abilities like Mutant Branches, Mutant Roots, and Flying Willow Leaf Blade.

Of course, abilities that could help him hide himself, like Mastery of Mist, were also included in the upgrade list.

As a result, the Wood Dragon ability was inadvertently overlooked.

However, there was one thing that should be brought to notice, and that was the number of Evolution Points required to upgrade the Wood Dragon ability, which was quite a lot.

The corners of Yu Zi Yu’s lips twitched before he finally decided to upgrade this ability.

At this moment, if one were to read the introduction of the Wood Dragon ability, they would see ‘500,000 Evolution Points’ behind it.

In other words, 500,000 Evolution Points were required to upgrade the Wood Dragon ability from Level 1 to Level 2.

How could the former Yu Zi Yu afford that?

Just a single upgrade, without a fundamental increase in combat power, would just bring him back to where he started. For Yu Zi Yu, this was absolutely unacceptable.

However, now was not too late to enhance this ability.

Thinking about this, Yu Zi Yu decisively stated, “System, enhance the ability—Wood Dragon.”

“Yes, I’m sure.” Giving the confirmation, Yu Zi Yu’s consciousness sank into his tree body.
