Eternal Thief

At this moment, the bid for the Black Quartz Jar has already reached 41,000 Tier-8 Abyss Gems, which was already relatively high considering the 41,000 Tier-8 Abyss Gems were akin to 4.1 million Tier-7 Abyss Gems.

Furthermore, even if someone was willing to pay the price, no one was idiot enough to exchange them because Abyssal Grand Lords could use Tier-8 Abyss Gem.

Lucy was all smiles as she announced, “Is there any high bid? The Black Quartz Jar for 41,000 Abyss Gems going once…”

“45,000 Abyss Gems!” At that moment, another bid appeared from one of the VIP rooms.

Lucy was even more excited because she knew that the more expensive an item she sold, the higher her commission would be.

“Esteemed guest in Room 2 just bid…” Before she could announce, another bid was made.

“50,000 Abyss Gem!”

The Young Marquis, who wore a disdainful expression after he bid, suddenly clenched his fists the moment this bid appeared because…

“Esteemed guest in Room 1 has bid 50,000 Abyss Gem for Black Quartz Jar!” Lucy charmingly announced as she couldn’t help but glance at Room 1’s window, as like everyone else, she was curious about who the person was sitting inside.

After all, Ace has only bid for once before for a worthless item compared to the final three items, and now he bids again for this Black Quartz Jar.

“55,000 Abyss Gem!” Young Marquis raised the bid again as he glared towards Room 1.

Although he didn’t know the value of the drop of blood within the Black Quartz Jar, he only wanted to buy it for his father, since his father liked to collect all kinds of strange things, and was also a 7-Star Abyssal Rune Crafter!

However, Ace’s intervention instantly reminded him of the humiliation he received earlier today, so he became angry again and thought Ace was again messing with him by bidding right after him.

But Ace didn’t care about Young Marquis’s feelings as he wanted that Black Quartz Jar, whether anyone liked it or not.

“55,000 Abyss Gems.” He impassively made another.

“100,000 Abyss Gems!” Young Marquis roared and directly increased the bid by a considerable amount.

The Auction Hall turned deadly silent as those with some intelligence could tell that Room 2 and Room 1 were competing for this item, and the VIP in Room 2 even seemed to have some grudge against the VIP in Room 1.

This was a good they had all been waiting for, and this brought a strange pleasure within the hearts of the audience.

A hint of coldness crept into the depths of Ace’s eyes at this moment, and despite not using his own money, he didn’t want to owe Dread Duchess too much, so he decided to use another method to mess with the Young Marquis.

“100,001 Abyss Gems!”

“110,000 Abyss Gems!” Young Marquis’s face was as black as charcoal at this moment, as he suddenly sensed something wasn’t right.

“110,001 Abyss Gems!” Ace again increased the bid by only one abyss gem, and this time, the audience’s gaze turned strange.

“Bastard! He’s really messing with this young master!” The Young Marquis finally realized that Ace was ridiculing them by only increasing the bid by one abyss gem; it was like he didn’t care how much the bid he increased, he would follow suit no matter what.

He started to throw everything around in a fit of anger, and the young woman who had previously advised the Young Marquis quickly spoke, “My Lord, we should stop here, that person is making you lose face in public. The situation is still salvageable, I’m sure His Highness the Marquis will be arriving shortly…”

There was a hidden message behind her words, and Young Marquis wasn’t a complete fool, so he instantly guessed what she was hinting at.

Killing intent flashed in his eyes, “I’ll let you be arrogant for now. But no matter who you are, within the Obsidian Myriad Kingdom, dare you to go against my father!”

At that moment, the small bidding war finally stopped, and as everyone expected, the VIP in Room 2 gave him since the VIP in Room 1 was too wicked.

Lucy started to count, and with a hint of pity, she declared smilingly, “Black Quartz Jar for 110,001 Tier-8 Abyss Gems sold—to the esteemed guest of Room 1!”

Ace also sighed in relief since he thought that idiot might increase the price even more, but strangely, he retreated.

’It seems there is someone with a brain beside him…’ Ace thought, but didn’t care much since he had already gotten the Black Quartz Jar, and he was excited to see what he would get from the Drop of Blood.

This drop of blood was like a lottery for him.

At this moment, Lucy announced, “Let me show today’s final item, it is something very special, and has never been sold before in an auction. Bring the final item!”

Lucy’s words instantly captivated the viewers’ attention as they were all excited about the last item.

At last, the attendants approached with utmost care, carrying a slender, flat black box bound with silver chains etched in ancient sigils.

Under Lucy’s signal, they unlocked it, revealing an obsidian plaque inlaid with faint silver runes that shimmered with deep, abyssal spirit Qi and a mystical intent.

Even from behind the viewing glass, Ace felt its ancient weight, and he wasn’t the only one, but everyone present in the entire venue sensed it.

Furthermore, at that moment, the Vaultkeeper, who had been hidden within Ace’s shadow, suddenly walked out and looked at the obsidian plaque without hiding his astonishment.

Ace was also astounded by the Vaultkeeper’s sudden emergence and couldn’t help but look towards the obsidian plaque in a new light, ’Just what is that plaque? Since even the Vaultkeeper came out to inspect it, didn’t this mean it’s something extraordinary? I need to get it!’

At that moment, Lucy revealed with a peculiar smile on her face, “Our final treasure tonight is a single Ancient Abyssal Permit to Whispering Soul Grotto, which only opened once every ten thousand years!”
