Eternal Thief

Ace had a contemplative expression on his face after the system’s unexpected response.

Just when Ace was about to further inquire from the system, he suddenly sensed a burning sensation in his chest, and the next moment, a colorful flash bolted out from his chest and turned into a beautiful creature with butterfly wings.

“Pixy?” Ace was surprised when he saw Pixy suddenly appear.

She had been recovering all this time within the tattoo of the primal bond. At this moment, a sudden realization dawned on him as he looked at Pixy’s mischievous expression.

“It’s you!” He blurted as he guessed what system just hinted at.

Pixy playfully smiled as she said, “Hehe~ you’ve been busy, I see. You have helped me a lot, I should thank you.”

Ace was baffled as he asked with uncertainty, “What do you mean?”

Pixy looked at him reproachfully and said, “Heh, you are so innocent. Don’t you understand? I’m the Primal Spirit of Wealth, which means the more wealth you gather, the stronger I become, which also applies to my recovery.”

Realization dawned on Ace as he was enlightened and couldn’t help but look at the World Space Ring in his hand and then stare at Pixy.

Pixy seemed to have guessed what he was thinking as she giggled, “You finally get it, right? It’s all thanks to this World Space Ring, and the treasures in it, and most importantly, you also seemed to have gotten a Quasi-Eternal Provenance Treasure, and it’s slightly related to wealth as well. So, it helps me a lot!”

“What Quasi-Eternal Provenance treasure!? You mean the Equilux Balance Ruler?!”

Ace was shocked as he had only gotten the Equilux Balance Ruler. However, he had no idea about the rank of the Equilux Balance Ruler. He only knows that Damien wanted it very badly, so he just stole it from him, but even he wasn’t expecting it was a Quasi-Eternal Provenance Treasure!

Pixy also seemed surprised by Ace’s reaction, and she could tell he wasn’t pretending. A strange glint flashed in her eyes, “So, you didn’t know that you have picked a Quasi-Eternal Provenance Treasure? A treasure that almost reached the Eternal Provenance Grade? Hehe, I guess I’ve missed a good show.”

Ace pursed his lips, “I wasn’t aware there was also Quasi-Eternal Provenance Grade before.”

Realization dawned on Pixy as she giggled, “Then your luck is not bad, I guess. Let me tell them that the Quasi-Eternal Provenance Grade almost exists, and it is used for treasures that have the potential to become the Eternal Provenance Treasure. However, Laws and Rules successfully obstructed them, or because of someone powerful’s interference, they failed their final transformation.

“Nevertheless, they are still the strongest treasures within their grades. The treasure you picked should be above even Transcendent Grade, a higher realm than Ascension Grade. You need to become more powerful so I can properly appraise it.

“Anyway, give that treasure to me, I want it. You won’t be able to use it anyway with your current power. But I’m different because of my special existence, as long as a treasure has anything to do with Wealth, I can tap into their powers. But of course, I’ll use TP to do it.”

Ace cocked his eyebrow when he heard Pixy’s unexpected demand, and how she wanted the Equilux Balance Ruler. But just as she said, he might not be able to use it because its grade was too high, and he wasn’t like Damien, who had a powerful backer who could help him.

Nonetheless, now Ace was very glad that he didn’t let Damien take the Equilux Balance Ruler, or it would really be a disaster if it were used against him.

“I have no issue taking the Equilux Balance Ruler.” Ace agreed without hesitation, but he still cast a suspicious look on Pixy’s cheerful self, “But why do I have a feeling that you are hiding something else. What is your true goal for getting the Equilux Balance Ruler? And how much TP will I spend if you use it?”

Pixy flashed an innocent smile, quickly denying Ace’s accusation, “It’s all in your head. Please be assured that I won’t harm you. Geez, why are you so suspicious of me? I’m your life partner after all! Can’t you give me a little treasure to play with? Don’t worry about the little stuff like TP.”

Ace didn’t believe Pixy at all and became even more suspicious, but he couldn’t tell what she was hatching. Nonetheless, Pixy can’t harm him even if she wanted to, so he can only relent.

Moreover, he had another important matter that needed Pixy’s help, “Alright, I’ll give the Equilux Balance Ruler. But first, you need to help me get rid of the Old Ghost camping in my World Space Ring!”

Pixy couldn’t help but giggle as she found Ace’s angry expression amusing, “I’ve already seen the condition inside. Don’t forget, nothing can hide from eyes as long as it’s a treasure or anything related to wealth.

“Moreover, when I told you about the Ascension King’s inner worlds being rare treasures, and they were used to create a Portable Secret Realm, I wasn’t expecting you to get one such treasure so soon. Your luck is really something else.

“Alright, I know what you want. The simplest way to get rid of your ’Old Ghost’ is by using the World Space Ring and integrating it with the Thief’s Space. Not only will the Thief’s Space be upgraded to the next level, but the ’Old Ghost’ will lose control over the formation he’s using to seal all the treasures.

“At that moment, using my Wealth Administrator’s authority, I can simply kick him out with the whole tower. Although it’s a pity to give up on that tower, it’s the only way to get rid of him without revealing yourself or your power.

“Don’t be greedy because that tower has become an interacted part of the formation under his control. It’s almost impossible to separate them. Unless you can directly confront him and kill him, I can’t help you. Don’t forget, I’m just a support.” Pixy explained.

Ace’s eyes brightened as he found this method quite doable, but then he frowned, as he said without giving up, “Is there no other way to get rid of him without losing the World Space Ring? I don’t want that tower, but this World Space Ring is very rare, and you knew about it more than I. I might not get another one in a short time. So, if there is any other way to kick him out, I’m willing to pay!”

Pixy’s eyes shone with a hint of excitement as if she was waiting for Ace to say those exact words, and replied with an impish smile, “Well, I can use my Wealth Value Manipulation on that tower and formation and decrease its actual value directly to Elemental State temporarily. Then, without the reliance on that powerful formation and tower, the ’Old Ghost’ will be completely helpless, and you can directly throw him out!”

Ace’s eyes turn brilliant as he almost forgets about Pixy’s second innate ability. As the system said, the Ghost King was relying on the Heavenly Ghost Formation to play tyrant. But once that formation’s value drops, he’ll be completely at Ace’s mercy.

He couldn’t help but exclaim, “It’s really doable! Why didn’t you tell me before?”

Pixy giggled, “I only remembered now.”

Ace sneered, clearly not believing her; nonetheless, he was too lazy to deal with this mischievous Primal Spirit.

“How much will it cost me?” Ace finally asked the important question, as he knew the Wealth Value Manipulation needed TP to cast.

Furthermore, since the Tower and Heavenly Ghost Formation weren’t under Ace’s ownership, Pixy can only temporarily affect them.

Moreover, if Pixy wants to add the status of Curse on an item with the Wealth Value Manipulation, which would make the item seem like worthless junk to all but Ace, that treasure needs to be either ownerless or Ace needs to be its owner.

“150 Million Thief Points…” Pixy replied, and when she saw Ace’s eyes brighten, she suddenly added with an impish grin, “For 1 second!”

Ace’s expression instantly fell as he glared at Pixy, “150 million Thief Point just for 1 second? Are you trying to rob me?”

“Hehehe, it’s quite an interesting thought, you know, robbing a robber.” Pixy seemed amused, but a regretful expression surfaced on her face as she sighed, “But it’s a pity, I can’t do it, or it would be fascinating! Anyway, these are the only two options. Other than them, I have no way of dealing with your problem. Or you can always wait or seek someone else out…tehe~”

Ace’s feeling right was like someone who had invited a wolf into their house, and the most frustrating part was that Ace knew he really couldn’t think of another way to deal with that damn Ghost King.

’Seems like I have to pay a lot to get rid of that Old Ghost. But I won’t let myself suffer alone…’ A vicious glint flashed past Ace’s eyes as he formulated a plan to make the Ghost King inside the World Space Ring suffer.

Suddenly, a brilliant idea appeared, and Ace couldn’t help but grin evilly; he almost seemed like Pixy at that moment!
