Eternal Thief

Inside the room.2, the Young Marquis was still furious about what happened earlier in the room.1, and when he heard the room.23 counterbid against something he wanted, he fumed.

Today he came to this auction just to have fun. But he wasn’t expecting to meet with such a mishap, and had no way to vent his anger, and now the room.23 provoked him, so he found the outlet to release his anger.

After all, he also knows that the Obsidian Spirit Halls allocates VIP rooms according to the importance of the guest, so he didn’t place the people in Room.23 in his eyes and was determined to go against them.

“300,000 Abyss Gem!” He instantly increased the bid by another hundred thousand.

As the heir of the Abyssal Bone Clan, an Abyssal Marquis rank power of the Obsidian Myriad Kingdom, he was very wealthy, and his father also doted on him enough to give him almost anything he wanted. So this amount of Abyss Gems was still nothing for him.

Lucy on the auction stage smiled charmingly as she announced the new bid again while glancing at Room 23 with a hint of anticipation.

“310,000 Abyss Gems!”

The Elder Brother bid as his expression turned slightly dark while the Younger Brother was cursing the Young Marquis within the Room.2.

“400,000 Abyss Gems!” The Young Marquis followed without hesitation while throwing a murderous glare towards the Room.23’s window.

On the other hand, from behind the viewing crystal, Ace sat unmoving, hood shadowing his eyes, yet interest sparked faintly.

’This Emberglass Soul Urn contained a trace of a Spirit Flame…it might be a good nutrition for my Demonic Black Spirit Fire…’ Ace thought before he glanced towards the Room.2, and Room.23, who were bidding without giving up.

’That rabid dog should be in Room.2…heh.’ Ace couldn’t help but chuckle in amusement as he impassively said, “1,000,000 Abyss Gem!”

The instant Ace’s voice, which was converted into a static sound, reverberated within the auction hall, the Young Marquis and two brothers within the Room.23 went silent.

Lucky, with a hint of surprise, quickly announced, “We have a new bid from Room 1!”

Everyone glanced towards Room.1 as they all knew that since this room was occupied today, then this could only mean something at a very high level was sitting within.

“Let’s give up for now.” The Elder Brother impassively stated, but his expression was extremely dark, as he was clenching his fists.

“B-but…” The Young Brother was unwilling, but he quickly shut his mouth when he saw the murderous glare of his Elder Brother.

The Younger Brother knew the price of 1 Million Tier-7 Abyss Gems was too high for him, and even if they had money, the Emberglass Soul Urn wasn’t worth that much.

“That bastard is deliberately messing with me!” The Young Marquis instantly shattered the table in rage and was about to go on a bidding war with Ace when one of the women quickly stopped him.

“Please wait, my lord!” The moment she said that, she felt an icy killing intent locked on her, but didn’t seem to be affected by it and said, “The treasure isn’t worth that much; that person is making a huge loss. If he’s really messing you, my lord, then if you follow the bid, he might not bid at all and make you suffer a loss. He’s very vile, please don’t fall for his dirty tricks!”

A hint of clarity returned to Young Marquis’s eyes as the woman’s words made much sense at that moment. His rage instantly turned into a sneer, “Tsk, tsk, what a vile bastard! Did he think I’d fall for his tricks so easily?!”

The woman sighed in relief, but couldn’t help but feel contempt for the Young Marquis at that moment because this guy was really an idiot. Just now, he was clearly about to call a counterbid, but then changed his mind. He was even more fickle than women.

Nonetheless, the woman achieved her goal and stopped the Young Marquis from offending that person and also wasting his wealth. In truth, she was a loyal subordinate placed with the Young Marquis by none other than his father to protect the Young Marquis secretly.

But the Young Marquis has no idea about this, and he only thought of her as his plaything, nothing else.

On the other hand, Ace had no idea about what happened in the Room.2, nor would he care since he was really interested in that Emberglass Soul Urn and the Young Marquis just happened to be in his way.

At this moment, Lucy started counting…

“The Emberglass Soul Urn for 1,000,000 Abyss Gems going twice…

“Final chance, everyone…” She still wanted to see if someone else would bid again, but to her slight disappointment, no one seemed to want to mess with the Room.1.

Nonetheless, the price was already high enough as she declared, “And sold, esteemed guest wins the Emberglass Soul Urn in Room.1!”

Ace didn’t react much and glanced at his shadow and said, “I’ll be troubling Sir Vaultkeeper with the payment.”

He didn’t even seem embarrassed when he asked the Vaultkeeper to pay for him. But the Vaultkeeper also didn’t mind since this amount of wealth was merely a drop in the ocean for the Duskmire Vault under the Dread Duchess.

Furthermore, the Dread Duchess has personally allowed Ace to demand anything as long as it wasn’t excessive, and Vaultkeeper would follow her every order without hesitation. So, Ace’s money problem was solved just like that.

The auction then continued as more items appeared, but Ace didn’t find anything interesting among them, despite a few VIP rooms taking part in the bidding.

Hours passed, and at this moment, Lucy declared, “Everyone, now we are going to auction the final three items of today’s auction, and I promise you, these final items will blow your mind!”

With a mysterious smile, she clapped her jade-like hands, and the next moment, the third-to-last item of the auction appeared!
