Eternal Thief

The King’s Anvil was in the heart of the Runic Forge City and symbolized the pinnacle of Spirit Forging.

Albeit it was considered a sect city of the Runic King Palace, it was an independent organization of its own, and it was the same for the other two runic cities. These cities were used to select young talent before they were vetted out into the Runic King Palace.

Nonetheless, becoming the disciple of King’s Anvil of Runic Forge City, King’s Cauldron of Runic Alchemy City, and King’s Quill of Runic Formation City was the dream of every life profession practitioner of Mortal Ascension Heaven.

However, these spots were usually claimed by the prominent clans of the Great Crown Domain, and rarely did any outsider have the chance to claim this honor.

That’s why Eleanor’s existence was special; she was already famous in the King’s Anvil and some big clans. But she was also an heir of King Sect, which made her slightly untouchable.

Furthermore, Eleanor ensured that she would not offend others and kept a low profile since she didn’t want unwanted trouble for obvious reasons.

Moreover, Eleanor was a beauty, so she naturally had many admirers. She also knew how to use her looks in her favor, so she was even more popular among men, especially because of her human bloodline, which was the symbol of the peak human race.

At this moment, she entered the fifth floor of the King’s Anvil and headed towards her personal workshop, one of the privileges of King’s Anvil disciples.

Once Eleanor entered, there was someone else waiting for her, a white dress woman with a mature hourglass figure. Her face was covered in a veil, but it still revealed the vague outline of her face. Together with her pale, pristine white, glossy skin and piercing ocean blue eyes, capable of bewitching others, and long, flowing pale gray hair, one could guess she was a charming woman.

Eleanor was startled when she saw this woman in her room, and her eyes widened, clearly surprised by her because she knew her identity!

But she quickly recovered from her shock and waved her hand, creating a powerful concealment barrier before subtly saying, “I wasn’t expecting to see you here… Ravencrown!”

The Ravencrown eyes narrowed ever so slightly as a cold glint flashed past her eyes, “You went behind Raven’s order and met with that human. Are you trying to put our operation in jeopardy?”

A hint of disappointment surfaced in her eyes, “I wasn’t expecting this kind of unprofessionalism from you, Ravenmind!”

Eleanor’s eyes went cold as she said with a hint of hostility, “So, now you guys have Raveneye tracking me? Should I consider I’m no longer trusted?”

Ravencorwn shook her head, “We both know this is not true. Raveneye always keeps an eye on everyone, even me. Furthermore, that human is a loose end, so we’ll have to eliminate him before he opens his mouth. You happen to be in the wrong place.”

Her expression hardened, “But it still won’t change. You went against Raven’s orders and risked our exposure. Don’t you know Zaria has a mysterious background, and she’s directly connected to someone in a high position in the Runic King Palace? That woman could’ve captured you on slightest disagreement, and we could’ve done nothing about it!”

Realization dawned on Eleanor at this moment, and she couldn’t help but remember Ace’s words, ‘So he was right, Raven indeed intended to kill him, and if he had left that place, he would’ve been dead. This is another reason he should be kept out, but these guys won’t leave him alone, and they might even try to eliminate him even after this mission is done.

‘After all, once this mission is succeeded, Ace would quickly figure out that we are Nightfall Ravenhood and no one can know this secret, so his life would be even more dangerous.

‘Furthermore, they’re still searching for Sky Stealer, and I have a feeling that they think he’s somehow related to him, so his fate might be even worse. Tsk, I shouldn’t have taken him here. What was I thinking?’

Eleanor was feeling bitter and couldn’t help but think about her rash actions of trusting Ace so much so quickly. Now, she felt terrible for putting him in danger, especially after her last conversation with him.

Nonetheless, Ace was too important just to be discarded like this, so she had no choice but to convince the Nightfall Ravenhood.

After thinking about it, Eleanor looked at Ravencrown and said, “Alright, I admit I made a mistake, and I shouldn’t have gone to him. But you guys don’t understand how important Ace is and why I want to involve him in the plan.

“Since Raven is too narrow-minded and won’t listen to reasons, can you please keep an open mind and listen to me? I know once you hear about Ace’s abilities, you’ll have the same opinion of him.”

Ravencrown seemed even more disappointed since Eleanor insisted on taking Ace’s side despite admitting her mistake.

But she was also curious since Ravencrown knew Eleanor’s personality; this was the first time she had gone against the Ravens. She couldn’t help but become somewhat curious about whom this Ace was and how he could have such an influence on Eleanor.

“Alight, but if I don’t like what you have to say, I want you to promise me that you’ll never approach him again and accept whatever happened to him without any disagreements?” Ravencorwn coldly stated.

Eleanor pursed her lips, but she still nodded her head. She knew that as long as she could convince Ravencrown, Ace could really join Nightfall Ravenhood.

Despite not revealing it, Eleanor knew Ravencorwn was the most powerful and skilled member of the Nightfall Ravenhood, and Raven and Ravencrown have an extraordinary relationship!

If Raven was the leader of the Nightfall Ravenhood, then Ravencrown was the vice leader!

But what both Eleanor and Ravencorwn hadn’t expected was that, in the dark corner of this room, a small cat was sitting in darkness, and the cat’s amber eyes shimmered with craftiness.

Furthermore, despite Eleanor’s barrier, the cat seemed to hear everything, and at this moment, the cat seemed even to smirk.

‘Ravencrown, huh? This mission is turning out to be easy! But why the hell are they talking about the Perverted Leader? I want to hear about their plan. Damn it, that guy just couldn’t stay away from any woman, Hmph!’
