Eternal Thief

Afterward, Ace tells Zaria about the other house members, but he doesn’t reveal anything about their recruitment process and hides essential details about his relationships.

He only told her general information like their names and thief genres, nothing else, and despite her asking about more, he only told her to ask herself since he wouldn’t disclose their private information without their consent, especially their whereabouts.

But the disdainful look in Zaria’s eyes made it pretty apparent that she had already developed a preconception about him being a perverted fiend since all the other members turned out to be women, and he could do nothing but sigh helplessly since he saw this coming.

In the end, he had to draw her attention to something else, so he told her to check her house shop to see what was there for her. Thankfully, it worked as she excitedly opened her house shop with anticipation, and he secretly did the same.

[NOTE: Unlocked at Veteran Member Rank!]

_____

Zaria’s eyes shimmered in wonderment as she went through her House Shop. When she was in the evolution and pill section, she felt like she was dreaming since there was not only the option to evolve her bloodline but also to reset her entire foundation, which was considered impossible.

But when she was the last locked section and also the prices, her expression fell as she glared at Ace and said snappily, “Hey, these things are too costly, let me borrow some House Points and I’ll return it back in the future. Furthermore, you told me I could recruit these thief acolytes, but it said I need to become a Veteran Member first.”

Ace also saw everything, and when he heard Zaria’s words, he retorted, “If that were possible, it would’ve made things far more convincing, right? But sadly it’s not possible, you can only earn house points through missions and thieveries.

“As for the last part, this is a recently opened function, so I wasn’t aware of it. But with your ‘talent,’ I don’t think you would take much time to achieve the Veteran Member rank.”

Ace looked at her meaningfully and said, “Besides, I don’t think you should reset your foundation yet since you’ll lose your current cultivation rank and have to start from scratch.”

Zaria narrowed her eyes, “So, what do you want me to do? Don’t tell me you didn’t want me to reset my foundation because you want to use my strength in whatever scheme you were brewing before?”

Ace didn’t deny it and nodded, “Indeed, you are currently the most powerful member of Thief House, and this is the territory of a King Sect. Don’t worry. I’ll issue a mission, and you’ll get the maximum number of house points through it.”

Zaria pursed her lips, “So, what are you after? Don’t tell me you wanted to target the Runic Forge City with your meager strength. If yes, then you better forget about it. Since my life is now connected with yours, I won’t let you take such a risk. Even I won’t be able to rob from this city!”

Ace didn’t refute since she was telling the truth, even though he was delusional enough to go against the Runic Forge City despite it only being a branch of Runic King Palace, at least now with his current strength.

“You don’t have to warn me; I know my limits. However, what I’m after is not the Runic King Palace or anything related to them, but I’m after a group, and if I’m not wrong, they are the ones who are going to target the Runic Forge City and probably the Runic King Palace.”

Zaria was astounded by this revelation and curiously asked, “If this group is really daring enough to target the Runic King Palace, then they are courting death. Besides, why are you going against them? Do we have enemies?”

Ace didn’t explain and condense a Star Slip this time and placed it in front of astounded Zaria.

“This is a Star Slip, one of my abilities. It’s like a Jade Scroll, but it’s a one-time-use item that only I can make and store selective knowledge in my memories. Just use it like a jade scroll, and you’ll get all the information about what I’m up to.” Ace explained.

“How convenient…” Zaria sounded impressed as she picked the star slip and poured her spirit Qi, and the next moment, the star slip turned into a streak and entered her knowledge sea before a torrent of knowledge appeared in her mind.

Because of her high cultivation base, she quickly refined all her knowledge, and a clear look of disbelief was written over her face as she looked at Ace.

“You not only robbed the bank, but you ended up being recruited by the Nightfall Ravenhood?!” She exclaimed.

Ace shook his head and corrected her, “Correction, it was a possibility which, thanks to you, got ruined. Anyway, I might be able to salvage the situation. But just in case I don’t, I want your help to track them down.”

Zaria was still processing the fact about Ace robbing the bank branch and then getting away with it. Although that branch was merely in a second-grade sect’s territory, it was still quite a huge deal.

Then, he even stumbled upon a member of a notorious Nightfall Ravenhood. Although she didn’t know the entire story, she could only assume what Ace had done to earn her trust.

‘I guess I should’ve paid attention to outside news. If I had known about his theft, I might’ve been able to avoid all of this. But I can’t overlook this huge opportunity for me and Leah…’ Zaria thought.

She gave Ace a deep look before saying, “As long as you give me House Points, you have my full cooperation. So, what’s the plan, Perverted Leader!”
