Chapter 122: Chapter 122: Battle Arena Madman

Having gotten a taste of the rewards, Lin Yun quickly became a regular at the Battle Arena. And as he fought more battles, the opponents he chose grew increasingly monstrous.

From opponents at the Seventh Layer of Opening, he moved up to the Ninth Layer of Opening. Furthermore, Lin Yun always chose to fight two opponents at once, meaning he could earn six hundred Merit Points after every match.

As Lin Yun frantically raked in Merit Points at the Battle Arena, his fame spread throughout the entire Academy. Everyone, including the students of the Elite Class, knew that the General Division had a freak named Lin Shan whose Combat Power was in no way inferior to that of an average Elite Class student.

One day, in the Elite Class district, Tang Wushuang found Yue Xiuchuan at his residence. The two entered Yue Xiuchuan’s room, where Tang Wushuang retrieved two Elixirs from his Space Ring.

”These are two Blood Burning Pills,” Tang Wushuang whispered. ”I’ve already made the arrangements. Go to the Battle Arena tonight and give these to the two death row inmates Lin Shan is scheduled to fight tomorrow.”

Lin Yun went to the Battle Arena every day to earn Primordial Stones; it had become a habit. Thus, Tang Wushuang’s killing intent was stirred once more. In his mind, this new plan was certain to be the end of Lin Yun.

First, in the Battle Arena, Academy students who chose to fight death row inmates were not under the Academy’s protection. Even if they were killed, the Academy would say nothing. This was made clear to the students from the very beginning—it was all their own choice.

Furthermore, Lin Yun always fought two death row inmates at the Ninth Layer of Opening Realm. With these two Blood Burning Pills, those inmates could temporarily reach the power of the Qi Sea Realm.

’Facing two Qi Sea Realm Martial Artists at the same time? How could Lin Yun possibly survive that?’

Moreover, Tang Wushuang’s master was in charge of the Battle Arena’s security during this time. When the fight happened, no one would come to Lin Yun’s rescue.

Even if the Academy investigated later, there would be nothing they could do. After all, Lin Yun would have died at the hands of death row inmates.

Hearing Tang Wushuang’s plan, both men let out a sinister laugh. ’This time, Lin Yun is a dead man. No matter how much of a genius he is, he can’t possibly kill two Qi Sea Realm Martial Artists at once, can he?’

After slipping away from Yue Xiuchuan’s residence unnoticed, Tang Wushuang returned to the Genius Class district in high spirits, already imagining the gruesome state of Lin Yun’s corpse tomorrow.

Completely unaware of the grave danger he was in, Lin Yun was cultivating in his room. Beside him, Little Ape was fast asleep and snoring soundly after consuming a Qi Essence Pill.

Thanks to the daily supply of Qi Essence Pills, Little Ape had also made significant progress. The improvements were mainly to its physical body, which was now no weaker than Lin Yun’s.

In terms of Combat Power, Little Ape was now fully capable of taking on a Martial Artist at the First Layer of Qi Sea Realm by itself. It might even be possible for it to kill one.

After a night of cultivation, Lin Yun went about his usual morning routine. He first practiced his Martial Skills at the Martial Arts Training Ground. With the help of the little blood-colored figure, his mastery of Martial Skills improved by leaps and bounds each day.

Lin Yun had nearly grasped the full True Intent of both the Wind Thunder Triple Flash and the Red Flame Spear Technique. The power of these two Spear Techniques had more than doubled.

Around noon, after eating lunch, Lin Yun slowly made his way to the Battle Arena.

As soon as he entered the Battle Arena, he was met with the recognition of an undisputed celebrity. The crowd had even given him a ridiculous nickname: the ”Battle Arena Maniac.”

”Look, the Maniac is here again! Looks like he’s challenging two death row inmates from the Ninth Layer of Opening Realm again today, huh?”

”I’m so jealous. It must be nice to be that strong. The Merit Points are so easy to earn... not like it is for us.”

Many students watched Lin Yun with envy. What he earned in just a few days was equal to what they made in a year. After all, not everyone could defeat opponents three Small Realms higher, let alone two of them at once.

”I’d like to register,” Lin Yun said calmly, walking up to the familiar registration point.

Hearing this, the Steward didn’t even bother asking what kind of opponents Lin Yun wanted. He simply started the registration, saying, ”Two at the Ninth Layer of Opening Realm, right?”

The registration was completed quickly. After waiting for about an hour, it was finally his turn. As he walked slowly onto the Martial Arts Arena, Lin Yun still hadn’t noticed Yue Xiuchuan watching him from a corner of the Battle Arena, a smug look already spreading across his face.

’Lin Shan, let’s see you get out of this alive!’ Yue Xiuchuan sneered inwardly. He had already met the two death row inmates who would be fighting Lin Yun and had given them the Blood Burning Pills.

Setting aside the fact that the Blood Burning Pills would allow them to temporarily break through to the Combat Power of the Qi Sea Realm, the two men were already exceptionally strong on their own.

These two were top-tier fighters among those at the Ninth Layer of Opening Realm, just a single step away from breaking through to the Qi Sea Realm. If Lin Yun could survive against them now that they also had Blood Burning Pills, Yue Xiuchuan would probably faint from sheer rage.

Standing on the Martial Arts Arena, Lin Yun soon saw his opponents—two death row inmates—emerge from an iron gate. At first glance, his expression turned grave.

Although both men were at the Ninth Layer of Opening Realm, the aura they exuded made it clear they were Kings among their peers, just one step away from the Qi Sea Realm.

’This is a bit tricky.’ Lin Yun sighed softly. He knew this match would be difficult, but not to the point of being uncontrollable.

Lin Yun watched the two men, and they watched him right back, bloodlust appearing on both of their faces. One of them spoke up. ”So you’re the genius from the General Division? Well, running into us today means it’s the day you die.”

The killing intent radiating from both men was palpable. Without another word, the three of them clashed.

At that moment, high above, Tang Wushuang’s master was watching the battle below with cold eyes. His expression was impassive, as if in his view, Lin Yun were already a dead man.

”Kid, today we’ll show you just how big the gap can be between fighters at the Ninth Layer of Opening Realm! You may have been able to kill others, but it won’t be so easy now that you’ve run into us brothers.”

They attacked simultaneously. One threw a vicious punch while the other delivered a lightning-fast kick. Both attacks targeted Lin Yun’s openings, a clear sign of their immense combat experience.

”Hmph. In the Opening Realm, no one has the right to speak to me like that.” Facing their powerful attacks, Lin Yun didn’t dodge at all, instantly unleashing his Black Steel Tyrant Fist to its fullest extent.

Clashing head-on with both of their attacks, Lin Yun gained no advantage. Both he and his opponents were forced back three steps. ℯℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

Even so, a trace of shock appeared in his opponents’ eyes. It had been a long time since they had met a worthy adversary in the Opening Realm. Even in a one-on-one fight, very few at their Realm could overpower them.

And yet, a Martial Artist at the mere Sixth Layer of Opening Realm was actually holding his own against the two of them.
