Daddy Always Gets Jealous

”What... what are you doing here?”

Huo Jinyun looked at Wen Ru angrily.

Wen Ru smiled serenely, ”Miss Huo, isn’t it odd to ask? I came to the restroom; naturally, it’s to use the bathroom.”

Huo Jinyun’s face turned red and then white, ”Are you very smug, huh? You followed me here to humiliate me, didn’t you?”

Wen Ru glanced at her female assistant who was pushing the wheelchair, ”Xiaoxu, you go out first.”

Xu Yuan was an assistant assigned to Wen Ru by Qin Moting, tasked with attending to Wen Ru’s daily needs and safety.

She glanced at Huo Jinyun, ”Madam, I will be outside. Just call me if you need anything.”

”Okay.”

With Xu Yuan gone, Wen Ru turned to Huo Jinyun, ”Very angry? It seems Miss Huo still holds herself in such high regard.”

”What I am is none of your business, you vile woman!” Huo Jinyun raised her hand to slap Wen Ru across the face.

Wen Ru grabbed Huo Jinyun’s wrist tightly, her smile dazzling, ”Huo Jinyun, let me tell you, from today on, you can’t do as you please in Hong Kong.”

Struggling fiercely, Huo Jinyun couldn’t break free, ”Wen Ru! You think just because you married Qin Moting you can do whatever you want? That you can strut around Hong Kong? Dream on!!”

Xu Yuan stood outside when suddenly she heard a voice spike in volume, so shrill it felt ear-piercing!

She rubbed her ears, flexed her wrists, and then heard Madam’s voice inside, calm as ever, ”Then just wait and see.”

Huo Jinyun looked at Wen Ru, and thinking of Mrs. Qin’s no-nonsense attitude, laughed mockingly, ”I’ll wait to see when you’re swept out of the Qin Family!”

Wen Ru looked at Huo Jinyun with a tranquil smile, ”Sorry to disappoint you, but Qin Moting can’t afford to leave this marriage. Before our wedding, he didn’t sign a prenuptial agreement. If we divorce, half of his fortune becomes mine.”

”How... how is that possible!” Huo Jinyun stared at Wen Ru, ”Has Qin Moting gone mad?”

Without a word, Wen Ru shook off Huo Jinyun’s arm.

Huo Jinyun stumbled and fell to the ground. She struggled to her feet and hysterically cried out, looking in Wen Ru’s direction, ”Wen Ru, you shameless harlot!”

She lunged forward, trying to grab Wen Ru’s hair, but Xu Yuan was already swiftly through the door. She grabbed Huo Jinyun by the shoulder and pulled her aside, ”Miss Huo, what do you think you’re doing?”

Huo Jinyun panted heavily, glaring at Wen Ru, ”Wen Ru, just you wait, I’ll make you leave Hong Kong the same way you came!”

Xu Yuan stood in front of Wen Ru, frowning as she spoke to Huo Jinyun, ”Miss Huo’s actions really don’t befit that of a young lady.”

”What do you mean by that?”

Huo Jinyun looked at Xu Yuan with a ferocious expression.

Standing there, Xu Yuan’s face was the epitome of indifference, ”Why does Miss Huo insist on clarity? Fine, I’ll just say it outright — you’re behaving rather like a common fishwife.”

”What did you say! Say that again!” Huo Jinyun glared at Xu Yuan, her eyes ablaze.

Xu Yuan closed her eyes, frowning as she pressed her ears, ”Miss Huo, my hearing is quite good; there’s no need to be so loud, I have delicate ear nerves, easily damaged by noise.”

Huo Jinyun, recalling how she was effortlessly picked up by the other party, looked around and spotted a cleaning bucket nearby, filled with dirty water and a rag. Summoning all her strength, she lifted it and hurled its contents towards Xu Yuan and Wen Ru.

Without opening her eyes, Xu Yuan stood still, raised her foot, and kicked the bucket in Huo Jinyun’s hand with full force.

The water splashed all over Huo Jinyun’s head, face, and body—
