Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 296: Chapter 294:DANTE!

I just... stared.

At the description of what I couldn’t even begin to put into words as my mind did mental gymnastics, trying and failing to understand what the hell I just experienced.

”Dante. What happened?” The old man’s voice pulled me out of my stunned state, as I turned toward him slowly.

”I... I don’t know.” I really didn’t know.

Who was that?

What did he mean by get strong? Who was the mother he was talking about?

No. I knew it wasn’t my mother Seraphina that he was talking about, I don’t know how I knew, but I just did.

So if it wasn’t her, then who?

And why... why did I feel so powerless and helpless before that gaze?

”Are you alright?” It seems my confusion had bled out of me, as aunt v suddenly cupped my face in her palms, her worried eyes looking deep into mine, her questioning filled gaze filled with fear and uncertainty.

”I.. am fine.”

”You are not.”

”I think.. I just need some rest, I’ll be fine.”

”Dante...”

”Old man.. please.” My voice came out weaker than I expected, but at this point, I wasn’t even ready to try acting strong.

I couldn’t even bring myself to rejoice over what I’d just received, instead, I felt dread.

This thing, this.. whatever it was, it didn’t feel like something that belonged to me, just looking at the words, it felt like something beyond me..

My body shuddered violently as every fiber of my being rejected that thought instantly.

”Hooo... I’ll be fine.” I breathed out, standing up.

”Let me..” both aunt v and Dakota helped me get up, as we made our way out.

”You two.. I can walk on my own.”

”Quiet! You think I’ll leave you alone after what just happened?” Aunt V.

”Yea! You almost scared me to death. Never do that again.” Dakota.

I could only shake my head wryly as we made our way out.

......

......

”Haaaa.... Much better.” I sighed in satisfaction as I relaxed into the hot bath, steam curling through the air.

”Aunt V. This place is awesome. How’d you know about it?” I called out, eyes closed.

”I discovered it during one of my training days in the academy, placed a few concealing runes around the place and turned it into a private sauna.” Aunt V’s voice sounded from behind me, as her soft footsteps approached.

”Humph! I expect nothing less from a greedy bitch like you! You didn’t even tell me about such a place!” Dakota’s complaining voice replied.

”And have you taint the place with your bloody smell? No thank you!” Aunt V scoffed as I felt a ripple within the water, her back leaning on my chest soon after.

”Humph! You’re lucky Dante is here, I’d have shown you just what blood really smelled like.” Another ripple in the water and I could feel a head placed gently on my shoulder.

My eyes remained closed as I just enjoyed the quiet solitude, and the peace their presence brought.

”System...”

[DING]

”What was that..”

[..]

”Don’t stay silent.. what the fuck just happened? Who was that? And why the fuck did my state of absence connect me with him?”

[..]

”BITCH!!!” I couldn’t help cussing in frustration.

I pulled up my title’s description.

......

: born from the origin of chaos herself, you’re the epitome of all CREATION.

.......

”Creation?” I muttered out loud, breaking the silence.

”Huh?”

”Dante?”

”Sorry, it’s nothing..” I opened my eyes, meeting the worried gazes of both aunt v and Dakota.

”Are you sure?” Dakota asked, leaning in, her body’s fragrance washing over me as I instinctively relaxed.

I smiled, ”I’m sure.”

The two women just stared, before going back to their original positions, closing their eyes once more.

I followed suit, eyes closing, yet my thoughts ran wild.

”Creation?”

That couldn’t be right.

I’m sure the first time I saw this it said ”epitome of Evolution.” So why did it suddenly become creation?

The more I looked, the less this thing felt like a title, and the more it felt... Alive.

”System.”

[..]

Of course. The stupid thing suddenly becomes irrelevant when it matters.

”Heh! So much for no strings being attached.” I scoffed.

I had asked the system, right when I got it, if there were any supernatural puppeteers out there manipulating shit, and it had definitively said NO.

I had foolishly deceived myself into believing it, but it seems,

”It was all too good to be true, after all.”

Twice now, my title had gone active, and I’d lost touch with the world, be it for a what felt like a brief instant, yet it had happened, with me not knowing anything that happened after that.

But now, I had been directly pulled from my consciousness and forcibly connected with something... someone I had no idea about, receiving something I was sure I had no business having at this point, and through all this madness, the system has remained quiet.

”Heh! Alright then.” I’ve already come this far, so complaining now would be useless.

I hadn’t been harmed till now, whether that was good or bad, remained to be seen.

But whatever that was.. whoever that was.

Whatever end game they and the system were playing at.

I can only see it through.

Not like I have a choice any more.

”Heh! Alright you bastard.” A grin slowly split my face.

”Want me to get strong? Fine. You got it.”

”I’ll get strong.”

”Strong enough that the next time those eyes look at me...”

”...they’ll never hold that disdain again.”

Want me to get strong?

”You’re on!”

Thinking this, I pulled up the description of what I’d received once more, ready to fully understand what it was.

Far be it from me to see power and refrain from using it.

Whatever comes next, let it come, that’s a future Dante problem.

”System.”

....

A beat of silence passed, and then,

[Ding!].

...

”Heh! Still the same even without your memories huh? And here I thought you’d have changed.” A sweet, soothing, feminine voice sounded out, the tone playful and chiding.

”HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Now that! YOU BASTARD! Is how we should be! Is how I! Should be!”

”Alright! I’ll wait!! Show me!!”

”Grow.”

”Become whole.”

”And when we finally meet...”

”Show me...”

”...that we’re worthy of being called...”

”...the Son of Chaos.”

”Don’t keep me waiting for too long then, DAAAAANNNTTEEEEE!!!!” The man being addressed hadn’t even bothered turning around, as he stood naked, arms raised, his voice echoing through the wonderous realm, a maddened excitement clear on his face..
