Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 286: Chapter 285:Some people never learn.

The tension in the place suddenly spiked all of a sudden.

”Wait! Wait! Wait!” I had to call a time out.

”What’s all this nonsense about competition and battle to the death?” I asked, my confusion written clearly on my face.

”You dared lay claim to the heart of Kaila, my beloved, you shall duel me to see who is more fit for her hand, you or me.” The tigerkin spoke such sophistry I had half a mind to punch him, but the guy wasn’t doing anything yet, so,

”Look. Dude, I don’t have anything to do with this psycho woman, I promise you, look!” I stepped aside, giving him free reign,

”You can go confess your love or whatever, just leave me the fuck out of it.” No way was I ruining my peace for something this ridiculous.

”Awww... Dante.. you’re really going to deny me in public like this?”

”Fuck!!”

”Kaila! Stop stoking the flames!!”

”What flames?” She tilted her head in a cute and innocent manner.

”You guys are just going to watch this madness happen!?” I turned to the others, looking for assistance, yet,

”You shouldn’t go around denying your woman like that, Dante..” Mira.

”I expected more from you Dante, look, you made Kaila sad.” Melissa.

”Haaa... my lo.. I mean, Dante, you should stop being a wuss and just defend your woman’s honor.” Cara.

”Humph! Men are all scum indeed, he probably has other women, that’s why he’s sitting on the fence.” Khalifa

”Like fuck I have other women!!! You’re one of them!!!”

I was almost pulling out my hair as I watched these women turn against me all of a sudden.

”This is about the kid isn’t it? You guys planned all this didn’t you?”

”I don’t know what you’re talking about, but, If you don’t want me that bad, sniff! Sniff! I can only bury my feelings for you...” the way Kaila suddenly switched to tears was quite honestly very believable.

If I wasn’t the one being framed, I would’ve fallen for it too, so it was no surprise, when,

WOOOOOOOOOSH!!! The air split as a massive furred fist came hurtling towards my head.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!

A wave of air blasted through the entire plaza as the ground cracked and gave way, a massive explosion rocking the entire plaza, igniting the protective runes around the place.

”Haa... look, dude, you’re making this hard for me.” The dust cleared as my figure appeared.

”What?” The tigerkin’s eyes visibly shrunk to the size of needles as he looked bewilderingly at me.

His fist was still firmly planted on my face, yet I hadn’t budged an inch.

”YAAAAAAYYYYYY!!! That was fun!! Big brother!! Again!! Again!! Have big kitty hit you again!!!” The guest on my head cheered, clapping loudly.

”Well I’m glad one of us is having fun little guy...” I sighed, feeling the intense gaze of the five women on my head.

”How are you not dead?” The tigerkin questioned.

”Look, even if I stood here and let you hit me from now till next year, you wouldn’t be able to make me budge.”

”Do you know who I am?”

”I don’t. And I really don’t want to know. Like I said, you can go ahead and court Kaila however you want, just leave me the fuck out.”

”HEY!!! At least act like you care!!” Kaila suddenly dropped the act, launching a blow to my gut.

BANG!

I didn’t budge.

”I’m tired. And hungry. And sleepy. I’m not in the mood for this shit. Not from you. Not from that bullshit author. So, bye. Good luck with whatever all this is.” I waved her away as I turned, intent on leaving this place and finally getting something to eat.

”You dare treat Kaila, my love, in such a manner? After she vouched and declared her love for you?” The tigerkin growled.

”Yup! That’s exactly what I’m doing. You dumb cat.” I didn’t even bother turning around, continuing on my way out.

SWOOOOOSHHHHH.....

The sound of air splitting reached me before the attack ever did.

The massive figure of the tigerkin appearing behind me as he let loose another earthshaking punch.

I could’ve dodged it.

His so called speed was nothing but snail’s pace to me, but,

”Haaa... some people never learn.”

THUD!

Negation immediately snuffed out any form of damage the attack could’ve caused, not that it would’ve done anything in the first place, but I’d very much like not to have my clothes ruffled again.

I barely had any proper comprehension of the law, but it was enough for someone like this.

”You... who are you?”

”I’m just someone that’s tired of the author’s bullshit.”

BANG!!

A fist connected with the gut of the tigerkin before he could even react.

”Urrk...” his form contorting and folding in half.

BOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!!!!

The entire outer section of the academy trembled violently as the figure if the tigerkin was sent flying to never-bother-me-again land.

”Phewwwww....” A sharp whistle sounded right next to me as Kaila materialized, her expression curious as she looked at me.

”You got stronger again?”

”I’ve always been stronger.”

”Humph! At least learn to act humble.”

”When you stop being a nuisance I’ll consider it.”

”Blergh..” she stuck out her tongue as she huffed.

Seeing her act all childish because her stunt had been voided, I couldn’t help it.

”Better luck next time, haha..” my hand came down on her white hair as I patted her head, laughing out loud.

She visibly froze at my touch, yet before anything could happen,

”Hoo!.. hoo!.. hoo!! Big brother look! Lucien is sending cats flying too.” The little child’s voice sounded out as he appeared before me, throwing phantom punches at phantom cats.

”Heh! Little man, if you saw a true big cat, they’d probably eat you for lunch.”

”Eeeyyyyyy!!! But!! But!! Lucien doesn’t taste good.”

”Nope! Little kids are definitely the tastiest to big cats.”

His face immediately paled as he turned to the girls.

”Big sisters... Lucien doesn’t taste good!!! Big cats won’t eat Lucien right?? Right??”

”Luc.. Lucien, don’t worry..” before the demoness could pacify the little kid, the others immediately took their shots.

”Of course they will! Big cats love children.” Melissa.

”Little Lucien, if that big cat comes back, he’ll eat you up!” Khalifa.

”Yes. Yes. And Big brother won’t be able to help you this time.” Mira

”NOOOOOOOO!!!! big sisters!! Help!! Lucien doesn’t want to be eaten!!!”

I could see the girls’ eyes literally sparkle in excitement as they silently celebrated their win.

”Don’t worry little Lucien, big sisters will take care of you.” They replied in sync.

The poor kid, seeing salvation from scary big cats, immediately ran into their embrace.

”Haa.. sorry kid, all man for himself.”

Say whatever you want about me snitching on the kid, but you try having the murderous stare of five crazy women on your back, let’s see how you handle it.

So, our group departed, with one very scared little demon in tow, as we made our way towards the mission hall to register Khalifa’s successful mission.

The chaos and confused crowd behind us not mattering in the least.
