Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 282: Chapter 281:[You have acquired the mythic grade ability...]

Floating islands..

Central island..

Grand hall...

”The meeting was successful.. patriarch, the demon asmodeus is on board with the expansion plans.” A man bowed his head respectfully as he addressed the figure at the head of the hall.

Damien Von Draken.

Clad in an immaculate black suit that gave him a more than sophisticated air, crossed one leg over the other as he leaned his chin on an arm.

”You bring me this report now? After days of waiting?” His voice came out cold, flat.

”My lord. There were some... complications on my way back.” The man, Caris Von Draken, answered nervously.

”Complications you say? Well, I’ll like to hear just what sort of complications prevented you from bringing word of what I sent you too, only now coming to me when Enviria is already up in flames.”

”Wha.. what?” Caris froze at that revelation.

”Oh. You didn’t know? And you say you were in Enviria? Interesting.”

”My... my lord.. I can...” before he could finish his words,

Crrraaack!!!

Space fissured and cracked behind him as an arm passed through the crack, hands wrapping firmly around his neck, and before anyone could react,

”NOOOOOOOO!!!!!...” his figure was swiftly pulled into the crack as it sealed itself shut, a heavy silence suddenly filling the entire hall..

”What... just happened?”

......

Once I’d gotten a lock on the man’s aura, I finally used my absolute series the way it was meant to be used,

”Absolute series...”

The power of inevitability cloaked my entire arm as I punched through reality, space folding and giving way as my arm vanished within.

The next instant I felt my hand close around the neck of someone, then,

”Come here...” I pulled my arm back, and with it,

”There you are, you filthy human.” The fool that dared paint demons in a good light.

”Wha.. what’s happening... who are you??” The man staggered to his feet, his face scrunching up immediately.

His first reaction after steadying himself wasn’t fear, no. It was,

”Do you know who you’re messing with???”

Typical.

Just typical.

I don’t know what I expected from someone like this but I wasn’t surprised.

”Is this him?” I turned to the demoness and her shaking, trembling form was all the answer I needed.

The man turned, his eyes landing on the woman.

”Heh! It’s you? Seems those foolish balor bastards let you escape huh? And you found someone to take revenge? You think being Lilith’s daughter holds any weight?? Heh! Worry not, once I’m done with this fool, I’ll take my time enjoying you properly...” his words slowed as his eyes trained towards Khalifa.

”Oho? An abadonian elf and a succubus? Don’t mind if I do.” The man smiled lecherously.

The temperature in the room suddenly dropped to abysmal levels, black ice coating the walls, floors and everything.

Blood stopped flowing.

Movement stopped existing.

It felt like even time was moving sluggishly within the space.

His head whipped around, atleast tried to, but, ”wha... what... did.. you do?” He couldn’t move an inch.

There were no wounds on him, hell, even the ice hadn’t got to him, yet his form stood absolutely still.

”Dante....” Khalifa stood up, supporting the demoness.

I looked at her, not an ounce of emotion on my face.

”Make it painful... very painful... filth like this, does not deserve your mercy.” Her eyes were twin orbs of rage and hate as she spat those words out.

”As you wish.”

She nodded, supporting the demoness as they both walked out.

”Wait.. Lucien! Lucien!”

”Yawn... huh? Big sis? I’m here!!” The child’s excited voice came from atop my head, he seemed absolutely disconnected from whatever was happening as he just looked around, eyes glittering,

”Sooo COOL!!!”

”Let’s go Lucien..”

”No!!! Lucien wants to stay with big brother!! Heheheh!! Lucien thinks he’s about to do something cool!! And that bad man, bad man hurt big sis, big brother hurts bad man. Lucien needs to see it.” His eyes shone a bright purple hue as they looked at the man.

[DING!]

”Hmm...”

I pushed the notification aside first.

”Little man. You should go, things are about to get ugly.”

”Will big brother hurt Lucien?”

I had to pause when I heard that question.

He wasn’t asking if I would hurt a demon.

He was merely asking if I would hurt.. him.

And truthfully, as weird as it seemed, that answer came out too naturally as,

”Never.”

”Hehehehe!! Then don’t mind big brother!! Lucien will stay!!! YAYYY!!! BAD MAN BE GONE!! HEHEHEHEHE...”

I turned towards Khalifa and the demoness.

”It’s alright, let’s go, Dante will take care of the boy.” Khalifa persuaded the demoness.

She looked reluctant, her eyes trembling.

It seemed the thought of leaving her brother with a human was something she wasn’t willing to entertain in the least, but alas,

”Please... human... please..”

”You have my word, demon. No harm shall befall the little one.”

She studied my face for a moment, before nodding and leaving with Khalifa.

Click!

The moment the door shut behind them, my face turned cold and lifeless.

”Wretched creature....” I turned to the frozen man, his eyes finally going wide in terror, all the false bravado from earlier... GONE.

”You... do you.. know who I am?” He still tried, pathetic as it may be, he still tried to threaten me.

”I am Caris Von Draken. An elder of the ancient Draken family. It’s not too late young man... if.. if you let me go... I promise never to cross your path again..” from threats, to negotiations.

”Heh! I think you’re getting things confused, foolish human..” I grabbed his face and,

Crack!! Craack!

”AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

”You don’t have any right to bargain with me.”

”First you dare commit atrocities that left even demons in awe.

Second, you dared make demons, filthy demons, look morally right.

Third. You dared to do all this, All. While. Bearing. Father’s. Last. Name!”

CRACK!!

His skull fractured completely within my grasp.

”AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!”

”Shh.. quiet...” the sound died his throat.

”You should count yourself lucky...” I released my hand, freeing his skull as I let him heal.

”Your pain won’t be physical, as I need to preserve something precious....”

Snnnnnore!!..... the sounds of heavy snoring filled the room, completely breaking the solemn atmosphere..

”Heh! On second thought, maybe you’re not so lucky after all...” I smiled, a cruel and sadistic expression appearing on my face.

”Now.. let’s see what makes a Draken tick..”

What followed were sounds so horrific they didn’t belong to anything remotely human, all through the process my mind was focused on only one peculiar thing.

”How is this kid still sleeping?”

......

”Haaaaa.... Satisfying...” I sighed, looking down at the masterpiece before me.

The man, Caris, lay broken and battered.

His form nothing but an unrecognizable piece of meat.

I had taken the time to strip him of every piece of flesh.

Since he wanted to act like a demon, I had given him the privilege of losing his human form, now he was just.. This.

”Yaawwwn.... Eyy?? NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!”

”Hmmm?”

”Big.. big brother!!!” The Little demon puffed right in front me, eyes wide as he looked around, almost in tears.

I turned curious.

Was he so disturbed by the scene he was about to cry? Yet his words floored me instantly,

”You didn’t wait for Lucien!! You hurt bad man and Lucien couldn’t watch!! WAAAAAA!!!!” He burst out crying.

”Eh?”

My thoughts stopped.

What the hell was wrong with this kid?

”Hey... hey.. stop.. stop!!”

”Sniff.. sniff..”

”What exactly did you think you missed?”

”Big... big brother hurt bad man... he.. he didn’t wait for Lucien..”

”That’s all?”

”Eyy?” The child looked around.

I was waiting for fear, recoil, anything. But he just looked around, at the blood, the pieces of flesh, at everything, before turning to me, head tilted in curiosity,

”Isn’t that all?? Eyyyyyt!! Did big brother leave something for Lucien?? Where?? Where?? Tell me!! TELL MEE!!!” I was suddenly being shook down by something a tenth of my size.

”Ha.. hahahahahahaha...” I couldn’t help it.

I was already laughing before I knew it.

”Calm down little man... there’s nothing else.”

”Pooh...” he pouted, folded his arms, then turned away.

”Lucien isn’t talking to big brother anymore. Humph”

”But you just did though.”

”Starting now.”

”You still did.”

”Lucien means now.”

....

”AHHHHH!!! Stop bullying Lucien!!!” A rain of tiny fists pelted my head in protest.

”Fine.. fine.. next time, I’ll wait for Lucien before hurting bad men, alright?”

”Promise??”

”Only if you don’t sleep off next time.”

”Hum. Hum.” He nodded so fast I was worried his little head might fall off.

”Alright. Then I promise.”

”YAYYY!!!”

Poof..

He disappeared in a cloud of purple smoke, his form appearing on top of my head again as he shrunk down in size.

”ONWARD BIG BROTHER... LETS GO FIND THE BAD MEN!! HEYYYAAA!!!”

”Dante... what did you just get yourself into?”

I shook my head as I turned around...

”Devour...” the pieces of flesh and the limbless... something, on the ground were swiftly swallowed up..

>

I pushed the messages aside, more curious about something I’d gotten earlier, something from the little man..

”System..”
