Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension

Chapter 121: Chapter 120:Preparations(2)

A few days later....

Academy city was bustling, the black stone streets were busy, the crowds were pouring in like the tide..

This wasn’t your everyday crowds, no!

These were nobles, royalty, lords and kings from all over the world that had made the trek to the central continent’s Academy City, yet here, these hegemons within their domains, could only become the normal rabel..

They could only move and stay within inns like the ”normal people” they were..

Yes, the inns were more decorated than some royal quarters..

Yes, the overall level of some of the inn keepers were high enough that many of the visiting hegemons had no idea just what or where their powers stood..

Yes, the overall level of the entire city was something that made the imperial capital of the eastern domain, feel like a back country, but still!! They were hegemons of their own locality..

For them to be reduced to simply ”staying within inns” was humbling..

And the worst part? They couldn’t very well bring themselves to complain about the academy’s lack of hospitality...

The academy’s enrollment ceremony was scheduled to begin in only two days, yet the number of powerhouses that had already arrived within the city made the large city feel cramped..

The atmosphere felt charged with so much power, it felt crushing on the shoulders of the weak..

Many geniuses had been arriving on their lonesome, those from backgrounds worthy enough to not warrant any type of exam to prove their worth, yet still took them just to spite everyone...

Those with legacies that stretched back to times most of terra had forgotten about..

Those from outright fantasy that claimed to come bearing the edicts of gods..

Those from sanctuaries that worshipped said deities..

Those from malevolent bloodlines that thrived on nothing but carnage and destruction..

A myriad of geniuses had been arriving at the academy and they hadn’t been coming alone..

So no, the academy had no mind to cater for little emperors only now leaving their hollow shells of power...

The world ran on a very simple rules, the central continent enforced that even more so..

You want respect? Get strong enough to earn it..

You don’t have enough strength? Then shut up and put up with whatever you’re dished..

That’s what everyone from insignificant backgrounds were doing..

Luckily for one very angry emperor, his son happens to be one of the privileged...

”My son” Helios beamed with pride at the site of his son, the regal uniform of Aeternum, the black outfit with green stripes that depicted his outer court status shimmered faintly in the light..

”I greet the emperor” the young man went to get on his knees, only for Helios to rush and stop him..

”No, I’m not worthy enough for that my son, not anymore” the man spoke with emotion..

”As you wish” the young man stood up, his 6ft frame radiating effortless poise and elegance...

He looked around, seemingly looking for someone..

”Where’s my fiancée, lady Cara?” The youth asked, his voice plain..

”This... I have something to show you my son” Helios’ face turned beet red, his forgotten rage bubbling forth once more...

......

......

”I see. So she chose to betray me instead, that too, on such a public stage” the young man’s voice wasn’t loud, it wasn’t even angry, it sounded detached, like he didn’t care, yet the sinister look that flashed briefly within his eyes spoke otherwise...

”And where is that disgraceful woman now?” His question was met with an awkward silence...

”Imperial father, where is she?” The young man’s voice was no longer reverential of his father, the pretense stripped from his voice..

”The main Morningstar lineage called her back, she’ll be arriving with them instead” Helios replied embarrassedly...

The Morningstars, that family with ties spread all over the world, the branch on the entirety of the human continent having been just that, a branch.

The fact that they had decided to call her back, probably meant the things they gave her had awakened more than it should have, thus giving her leverage to bargain with the main lineage..

The things they gave to her and yet she still chose to betray them for some nobody?..

”Hooo... I see” the youth breathed out steadily, realizing the futility of approaching her now...

”This... Dante, he’ll be arriving with the others I presume?” Hitting a dead end with Cara, he switched targets..

”Yes, he should be among the batch of new arrivals from the human continent”..

”Alright. I shall await his arrival.” Saying so, the youth turned around and walked off, not bothering with another word..

”Sir, if you will follow me” the attendant that had brought Helios to his son, directed the man toward his resting quarters..

He may have been dismissed like yesterday’s news by his son, but atleast, he gets to sleep comfortably and not within an overcrowded inn...

...

...

”Heh, a little bird told me that aunt Raven’s little pet project will be arriving with the rest of the rabble from the human continent” a blue haired youth lounged lazily within an expansive room, a girl was seated comfortably on his lap as his hands did rounds over her voluptuous body..

”Yes, young master Caelum, it’s said that the young master had performed exceptionally within the trials in the eastern domain” the old man wearing a butler’s uniform reported with a bow..

Crashhh!!!!!

A bottle came crashing into the old man’s bowed head, spilling wine all over his form..

”Who the hell are you calling young master!!!!!?” The young man yelled hysterically...

”It was a slip of the tongue, young master, I apologize” the old man merely apologized without lifting his head, the act more perfunctory than sincere..

”Humph, one more of such slips from you and I’ll have father tear your head from your body, old bastards can’t seem to get over some fucking dead guy” the youth raged on the old man without any regard for the him..

”Hehehe... little Caelum, what’s got you so worked up?” A pair of slender arms wrapped around the boy’s body, followed by an intoxicating scent that sent his brain firing, a pair of soft body parts pressing against his back, making his thoughts go blank for a moment..

”It’s nothing important” he snapped back to his senses, turning around and wrapping his arms around her slim, willowy waist..

”Just some nobody I’ll soon be putting in his rightful place” he smirked as he kissed her, the young lady replying in kind, soon, lustful moans and groans reverberated within the enclosed room as the two lost themselves in the throes of passion...

........

Slowly, the curtains were being open, the stage was being set and the millenniumacademyenrollment ceremony was about to begin..

This one promising to be one of the most eventful ones in recent years, as geniuses seemed to have spouted like trees after the rain, all vying for dominance..

An event that will introduce the world to this new blood of geniuses and they shall finally have the stage to prove their worth..

Were they true geniuses, or just pampered flowers that had yet to understand the true face of the world..

And in all this, just where did our arrogant protagonist sit, for, while he indulges in the pleasure filled moans and breathless cries of his lovely aunt, the world’s geniuses were planning, in expectation, for his arrival..

Will he live up to the task, or will he, for once, finally cave?....

....

....

Who am I kidding? We all already know the answer to that question, don’t we? Hahahahahahahaha...
