Beast Taming: I Can Add Points

The moment Yu Bao was surrounded, Su Zhi recalled him to the Beast Taming Space just in the nick of time. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have just been taken out—he would have become dinner for the Earthquake Beasts...

This was the clear advantage Pet Beasts had over wild Exotic Beasts. You could play it safe whenever you wanted, and they could even serve as a one-time emergency teleport.

”Be careful. The surrounding Earth and Gold Element Energy is growing more concentrated! While this is good for your Yu Bao’s fighting, if there’s a more formidable Earth and Gold Dual Element Exotic Beast below, we’ll be in for a very tough fight.”

Tuoba Jing warned in a low voice, never breaking his stride.

Yu Bao also cast its Earth Force Field forward to maintain surveillance of their surroundings.

At first, Yu Bao’s Earth Force Field had a circular range. But now, its Perception Power had grown immensely, and it could now adjust the field’s shape at will.

For instance, Yu Bao now adjusted it into a long, narrow strip, conforming to the surrounding terrain!

Its perception range was consequently stretched to nearly fifty meters, both in front and behind them.

”AARF!”

After advancing a short distance, Yu Bao suddenly raised a paw, and the humans and their pets immediately halted.

The once pitch-black tunnel now held a faint glimmer of light ahead. According to Yu Bao’s senses, moving forward would bring them to another open area.

What was unsettling, however, were the sounds coming from below.

”Clara... Clara...”

The dense, overlapping roars of Earthquake Beasts made it clear from the sound alone that their numbers were countless.

Even more unsettling was the concentrated Earth and Gold Dual Element Energy from below... an Energy that was continuing to grow even more potent!

”This Energy doesn’t feel like it’s coming from a Pet Beast. It’s more like some kind of mineral or resource.”

Tuoba Jing frowned. ”This rate of Energy growth isn’t normal. Someone is using an external force to pump Energy into whatever is down there.”

”Considering what we know about the Earthquake Beasts, could this be its preparations for leaving the Secret Realm?”

”I’m afraid so,” Tuoba Jing mused. ”Its association with the Earthquake Beasts makes its position clear. Whatever its plans are, we have to stop them...”

RUMBLE— The tunnel suddenly began to shake violently, and dense, spiderweb-like cracks instantly spread across the rock walls.

Su Zhi’s eyes widened. ”Senior, watch out!”

”I’m fine! You be careful too!”

Tuoba Jing was, after all, a Six-star Beastmaster, a full tier higher than Su Zhi. The instant the environment changed, he instinctively summoned Profound Yellow and Zi Lu.

At the same time, his body instinctively adjusted its center of gravity, and he dodged the falling debris to land steadily on his feet.

With Yu Bao’s assistance, Su Zhi landed a moment later, standing back-to-back with Tuoba Jing.

Their eyes darted around, quickly assessing their new surroundings.

Earthquake Beasts... and more Earthquake Beasts... As far as the eye could see, the area was filled with their unsettling, gaping maws.

The swarm of Earthquake Beasts had even intentionally left a clear space, almost as if it had been reserved for them.

A bit further off, Su Zhi saw the source of the light, resting atop a tall stone platform. It was angular and smooth-surfaced, emitting a radiant golden brilliance that grew steadily stronger, illuminating the vast subterranean cavern in flickering light.

Su Zhi’s mouth fell open. ”That’s a huge Radiant Gold Vein Opening Stone...”

[A small correction, dear~ It’s a Radiant Gold Vein Opening Source Stone.]

The response came as a telepathic message, in a feminine voice that was somehow both flirtatious and hoarse, making it exceptionally creepy.

Both Su Zhi and Tuoba Jing broke out in a cold sweat. Their eyes darted around frantically before finally settling back on the rock platform.

This time, Su Zhi finally saw the Exotic Beast lying beneath the light source—her white fur was also emitting a faint Golden Light, which was why he hadn’t been able to make her out at first.

Tuoba Jing demanded in a harsh voice, ”What kind of Exotic Beast are you? Are these Earthquake Beasts causing chaos in the world on your orders?”

[You really don’t know who I am? But I know you, little junior from the Flying Shadow Alliance~ Tuo~ba~Jing.]

The Exotic Beast leaped down, landing lightly on the backs of the Earthquake Beast swarm and making her way gracefully before them.

It was a slender White Tiger, her body emitting a soft Golden Light. Her facial features were possessed of a refined, almost delicate beauty. Her eyes, however, were an eerie deep black, with scarlet pupils that were utterly terrifying.

[My name is Clara.]

She narrowed her eyes.

[But you can also call me—the Disaster White Tiger.]
