Chapter 1846  Home Sweet Home (2)

Even though he said he wanted to check on the dwarves first, his feet moved to somewhere else, Li Shuangʼs office. He was surprised that he found many people with formal outfits in the Smart Base. It was like a proper office instead of a base, and it was an indication that the foundation system he built for his empire was working.

Li Shuang seemed to do something with her people because they all recognized him. They gasped in surprise when they met him, but immediately bowed their heads and greeted him. No one stopped him as he headed to Li Shuangʼs main office under Originʼs guidance.

He opened the door without knocking and found Li Shuang looking down at the table, checking the scroll. She furrowed her brow and raised her head, ”I told you to knock—”

Her voice was cut off when she saw who was coming. Her black eyes widened, and her mouth opened slightly. Tang Shaoyang closed the door and rushed toward Li Shuang. He was across the table and easily picked her up on the other side. He kissed her on the lips, and as a good servant to his Master, Origin closed the window.

Li Shuang was shocked, but she quickly responded when the lip touched her. They stayed like that for a while before Tang Shaoyang released her. His eyes locked on her belly, the slightly protruding belly. He caressed the belly, and he could feel something alive inside the belly.

”You already knew!?” She was surprised, but then it made sense because Origin would immediately tell its Master the good news.

Tang Shaoyang nodded and muttered, ”Have you thought of a name?”

Everyone knew that his naming sense was not that good. His first familiar was Pride, then Greed, and the golden dragon was Wrath. Even though it got better when he named another two demonic calamity dragons, Ophelius and Ophelia, he felt like it would be better for the mother to choose the name.

Li Shuang rolled her eyes, ”Itʼs barely two months, and you should give the name. I donʼt have time to think about a name with a lot of work on my hands.”

”I thought you were nurturing someone to replace you? You havenʼt found anyone?”

Zhang Mengyao and Li Shuang had spoken to him about stepping down from their official positions. He did not mind if they found a suitable replacement, as he spent most of his time outside Earth, but he did not think he could find a proper replacement for them. The two women should know more about his people than himself, so it would be better if they could pick a candidate, and he would make the final decision.

Li Shuang let out a sigh, shaking her head, ”I am afraid to give them the authority. They are doing their work well, but we donʼt know about their hearts. Especially when you spend most of your time away. I am afraid they will try to do something stupid when you are away.”

Li Shuang and Zhang Mengyao shared the same concern. Even though they had gone through a lot in the last two years, she felt like those two years were not enough to see the peopleʼs hearts. Even before the game, her employee who had been working for her for a long time did not hesitate to betray her when they were offered something they could not refuse.

Tang Shaoyang frowned, ”Do you notice weird movements? Have you checked all the contracts?”

He thought the last rebellion taught people a lesson about what was the consequence against him. He even held a public execution for the rebels, and he felt those should be enough to teach people.

[I am checking the contract regularly, once a week. All the contracts are normal, thereʼs no weird movement from our people as well as our vassals.] Origin reported. The Smart AI learned its lesson and did its duty diligently.

”I am just worried. I feel like I should do the job while I can, so I decided not to step down for now, at least, until we find more stability. I have a discussion with Mengyao, and we agree to continue the job, maybe for another ten years.”

Tang Shaoyang fell silent, and he understood their concern. Even though they had become the strongest on Earth, it did not mean they were safe yet. They found out that there was a bigger world outside there, and they were not safe yet. They did not dare to relinquish their positions because their successor could still get bribed by outside forces. It was a possibility, and their concerns were not groundless. The Tang Empire had many enemies outside, and they were aware of it.

”Five years… I will get rid of all our enemies in five years, and when they are gone, I will spend most of my time with you and our daughters,” Tang Shaoyang realized that even his wives felt the pressure even though they did not have to fight their enemies directly.

They spent a little bit more time, and of course, he did not dare to do the deed even though it was just two months old. He played it safe, and he left the office after a hearty kiss.

He headed to Kalliyan Mountain because the mountain was closer to the capital. He floated out of everyoneʼs sight and saw his daughter, riding the white wolf. She was not alone, Li Yue (Li Naʼs little sister) and Li Jiaying (Li Shuangʼs first daughter) were also riding a similar wolf. Li Jiaying was holding Xiulan from behind, and Li Yue rode alone. The wolves had grown since he brought them out from the trial, reaching a meter and a half tall.

The surprise was that he found three small dragons and three Kirin, following the wolves behind. Not far from them, Kalliyan was watching from the air. Lilliana easily followed the pups with her speed, staying next to Xiulan was looked the most likely to fall. Ten women with Tarriorʼs uniform followed them from a distance, they were surrounding the children but from a distance.

The three Kirin had similar colors to their mother, but the three dragons had three different colors. The red dragon flew above Li Yue, and the green and the blue dragon flew above Tang Xiulan and Li Jiaying. He was surprised because it looked like the three children formed a bond with the three dragons. That was a good thing, it meant the three children were protected by the dragon as they grew up.

Tang Shaoyang rubbed his chin, trying to recall how many dragon eggs he gathered so far. He thought there was a big chance that the dragon egg might not hatch. That was why he was surprised to see three small dragons.

”More than ten?” He muttered under his breath, ”If the other eggs hatched, is it better to have them bonded or let them grow naturally in the wild?” The question was meant for his spirits.

[Having the dragon bonded from hatchling is better because if you let them grow on their own, you have to tame them again unless you want an uncontrollable dragon in your territory.] Vandir voiced his thoughts which were agreed by the remaining spirits while Avyn said nothing.

”We need to choose an appropriate person to bond with the dragon…” Tang Shaoyang muttered. He was doing a good job, holding himself from coming down. He did not want to disturb his daughterʼs playing time and headed back after making sure his daughter was fine.

Elinova sent him a message that she had returned, and he immediately went back. He planned to visit her, but she returned as soon as she received a message from Li Shuang that he was back.

Elin was on her kitchen floor, and the first thing she did was to prepare a meal for him, knowing her husband was missing her cooks. She was not alone on her floor, Ava was with her. The moment the sound of the elevator opening resounded, Ava rose from her seat and rushed toward him. They shared a deep kiss for a moment.

Tang Shaoyang approached Elin and hugged her from behind. With her speed, she could not see coming, thinking he might still be near the elevator. She was surprised but immediately calmed down when she heard his voice.

Tang Shaoyang sniffed her neck, he missed her smells a lot. His shoulder relaxed while sniffing the familiar smell. The smell was telling him that he was at home, home sweet home. Of course, he did not do anything further aside from kissing her cheeks, and when she turned around, he kissed her lips.

If not for the sizzling noise from the pan, they would kiss longer. Not long after, Li Shuang came up to the kitchen floor, and they were waiting for the food.

Tang Shaoyang told them what happened in his mission, telling them about the Void Cult, and so on. They tensed up when they heard an emperor from the Void Cult coming, but immediately calmed when he told them that he killed the emperor.

For the first time, Tang Shaoyang smiled relaxingly in the last two months while telling his wives his story.
