Chapter 1826  Roping Damaris Into His Brilliant Idea

Commander Damaris did not mind telling Tang Shaoyang the instruction she received from Atilla. She would work together with the man who killed The Battle King, so her ally could adjust based on her movement. She liked a reliable ally and many attested that this man was one of the strongest allies she could find in the frontier.

They had a ten-minute discussion, mostly her talking over the plan which was really not a plan in the first place. It was a classic siege battle, but it might change if they were presented with a chance to snag the emperor. Killing the Second Emperor would weaken the Void Cult, and if possible kill all eight kings as well.

Tang Shaoyangʼs index finger tapped the stone as he stood at the edge. When he tapped the finger, it meant he had a plan. He was concocting a plan in his mind, and it might work.

”You say they will swarm the wall with the army before the emperor and the kings make their move, right?” He asked in a low voice.

”Yes, most likely. No matter how powerful the emperor is, he will use his minions to test us before making his own move. Commander Edson assured us that The Emperor would not be able to destroy the wall in one hit, and we are powerful enough to stop him from destroying the wall.”

Commander Damaris nodded and was confident with her answer. She also believed that they could stop the emperor from destroying the magical protection on the wall if the emperor tried.

”Is it possible for you to make the emperor busy?” Tang Shaoyang stopped tapping the finger and turned toward Commander Damaris. ”Can you distract him without dying? If you can buy me half an hour or ideally an hour, I will assassinate the eight kings by myself.”

”They look so confident that they will win.” Commander Damaris looked toward the figure in the sky. Her ally was surely right, they all looked so confident, looking down on the frontier with their haughty and arrogant from above.

”With how confident they are, they will not fight together, not cooperate with each other, and that makes them weaker in my opinion. I believe it would be hard for all of us if those eight kings supported the emperor. While their confidence is over the roof, we should separate the king and the emperor. You keep the emperor busy, and I will snag the eight kings.”

Tang Shaoyang had seen the fear and terror in Edsonʼs eyes when the commander found out that the emperor visited the frontier. That was enough to tell him how fearful this emperor might be, and he had one exchange with one emperor, and the emperor was surely strong, but not impossible to kill. Instead of fighting the emperor head-on, it would be better to hunt them down one by one. He would start with the eight kings.

Commander Damaris furrowed her brow, considering the manʼs words. What the Chief Administrator said was right, these people would not work together. They would fight on their own instead of cooperating with each other. That was the best chance to snag them one by one. However, it could only work if Tang Shaoyang could assassinate the king.

People might have an impression that the king was weaker than the Emperor. Most of the time, it was correct, but not all kings were weaker than the emperor. Two kings were as powerful as the emperors, The King of Shade and The King of Titan.

The former was a being made of shadow, and it had existed as long as The Genesis Emperor The King of Shade was a renowned criminal before joining the Void Cult. The latter was rumored to have titan blood in him. Titan was a primal being that existed alongside The First Dragon. The rumor was that Titan had gone instinctively, but she remembered the soldiersʼ talk about the behemoth which was considered a direct line from the Titan. The one who owned the same titan was the man next to her.

She was relieved that The King of Shade was not one of the eight kings. There was no king made of shadow, but she did not know what the King of Titan looked like. There were three kings with a height over ten meters, and one of them could be The King of Titan or none of them was the King of Titan.

”Are you confident in assassinating the kings? We can make it work, pulling the emperor to us is easy, but thatʼs quite a risky plan to pull. Especially when we have a wall advantage. You need more to convince me that the plan will work.” Commander Damaris liked the Chief Administratorʼs plan the most than all the plans presented to her. However, that meant she must put her life at risk for someone she just met.

Luring the emperor down was easy, but making the emperor busy for an hour was the hardest part. All commanders could go down and slaughter the army of the void creatures. The emperor and the eight kings had no choice but to contain them.

”The first four kings would be easy to kill, but once I assassinate the fourth king, the remaining kings would be on alert, and they might group up. It would be a fight to kill the remaining kings, but an hour should be enough to get them.” Tang Shaoyang replied with confidence.

As long as he could catch the king off guard just like the Battle King, he should be able to kill them all. With Avyn, Zara, Karan, and Vandir, the fight would be in his favor.

”How are you going to assassinate them?” Commander Damaris wanted to know more about how Tang Shaoyang would assassinate the kings. She wanted more assurance than just a plan from the stranger she met half an hour ago. She liked the plan, but Tang Shaoyang needed more to convince her if he wanted her to risk her life.

Tang Shaoyang summoned Avyn and Zara. Zara knew what Tang Shaoyang thought and created a portal in a second and appeared behind Commander Damaris.

Commander Damaris felt a cold hand on her neck, and she subconsciously swung her sword to the back. However, Zara was long gone as she entered her shadow and appeared behind Commander Damaris once more, placing her cold hand on Damarisʼ neck.

Commander Damaris realized that she had died, two times. For someone on her level, it was a tragic way to die.

She was about to turn around to continue the conversation, but she realized that her feet were rooted to the ground. Then a bone-chilling sensation ran through her system, and her brain froze for a moment. However, it was just a moment as she looked down. The stone slab where she stood was wet, and it was enough to tell her that she had already died for the third time.

Commander Damaris turned around, her heart was still thumping nervously. Then She saw another two figures aside from the two women, a red-skinned orc with a lot of anger in him, and a skeleton with a tattered cloak. The skeleton looked like just a low-level mob, but she knew that the skeleton was not just a normal skeleton.

”With them, I can win against the eight kings, assassination or not, we would kill them. I still have more summons, but I canʼt show them as it will attract our enemyʼs attention. What do you think?”

Commander Damaris scanned the four figures, and deep inside, she already agreed with the plan. She just needed to think about how to make the other commanders agree with this ”brilliant” plan. If Tang Shaoyang could take the chaos of the battlefield, he should be able to assassinate at least four kings as he said earlier before the remaining four noticed something.

Getting rid of four of the ten kings was a big contribution, and she did not mind trading her life to make it happen.

”I will trust my life to you, Chief Administrator Tang Shaoyang.” Commander Damaris agreed to executive the plan and offered a handshake to Tang Shaoyang. ”I have to make another trip to pitch my plan with Atilla and the other commanders. I hope those arrogant fools would not start attacking—” She had not finished her words as Thomas Lysvand gestured his hand forward, and the army of the void creatures swarmed toward the wall.

She did not finish the remaining sentence as she ran toward where Atilla was.
