Chapter 1816  Blood for Blood!

The second healing potion stopped mid-air, and Tang Shaoyang confirmed that Castor was no longer breathing. He could not hear the sound of Castorʼs head and could not feel the movement in Castorʼs head. The realization got into him as he crushed the potion in his hand, and his aura went berserk. This was the first time in a while that he had not controlled his aura.

The Hurakan Legionʼs soldiers took five steps back from the aura. Even the Imperial Investigator Mein took three steps back, and his hands were trembling without him realizing it. Ira and the others who were closest to Tang Shaoyang had it the worst. Everyone close to Tang Shaoyang fell on their knees except for Khaya who was barely holding up.

Tang Shaoyang took a deep breath and controlled his aura so his team members were not affected. He closed his eyes as his connection with Castor was fully cut off. They formed a connection when he turned Castor into a calamity, a connection of a master and a familiar. He used the potion earlier because he still could feel the faint connection between him and Castor. That connection was cut off recently, meaning Castor was dead.

He closed Castorʼs eyes and stood up. ”What happens?” His tone was flat, he did not have expression, but everyone on the scene could feel his rage through the aura.

Ira was breathing heavily, her chest was heaved up and down. She still could not proceed with the situation, and her head was in a mess as it happened so quickly that none of them could react. Her thoughts were jumbled and did not know where to start.

Khaya was the one who explained after noticing Iraʼs condition. ”One of the Imperial Investigators came over to arrest us along with the soldiers from the Hurakan Legion. We donʼt know the actual situation, so we comply with the arrest. We were cooperating with them until the Imperial Investigator yelled ”Calamity!” and attacked Castor. Then…”

Tang Shaoyang raised his hand, stopping Khaya to finish her explanation. He could tell what happened next, his team fought the Imperial Investigator and the Hurakan Legion.

He used Chaos Eyes and got into the bird view, he scanned all the soldiers around him and muttered. ”Mark them all!”

The leader of the Imperial Investigator who followed Tang Shaoyang, landed next to his subordinate. He could feel Tang Shaoyangʼs emotion, and he was aware that he must diffuse the manʼs anger before turning this into a full-blown war.

”This is a misunderstanding, and we need to talk this out, Senior Administrator Tang Shaoyang. We will investigate this thoroughly, and we will punish the people who were responsible for this mess!”

Tang Shaoyang looked straight at the leader of the Imperial Investigator. ”Thereʼs nothing to talk about, blood for blood!”

”Thereʼs no need to talk about, Sir Kenver! He harbored a calamity in his team, and we must arrest him and investigate his involvement with the Void Cult!” Imperial Investigator Mein raised his voice, making sure that everyone in the frontier heard him.

Calamity might be different from the Void Creature, but calamity was the by-product of void energy contamination to a living being. A human calamity might be rare, but there were a few cases where humans survived the poisonous void energy and turned it into a calamity. The people who turned into a calamity usually lost their minds, becoming mindless monsters that slaughtered everything in their sight that was not their kind.

Mein found one in Tang Shaoyangʼs team when he tried to arrest the team. He did not think about it as he knew that whatever happened, whether he was in the wrong or not, he would get away with whatever he did. He did his job, getting rid of the calamity in the frontier. As for why he tried to arrest Tang Shaoyangʼs team, he wanted to provoke Tang Shaoyang, provoking the Senior Administrator to attack him so he had a justification to fight back. However, he was presented with a golden chance which he would never miss.

”Is it true that he is a calamity?” Kenver was surprised and questioned Tang Shaoyang. It was his habit as an investigator when he heard or found something suspicious. He did not know that his habit only made the situation worse.

”Blood for blood! This is your last chance to leave!” Tang Shaoyang locked his gaze on Mein.

”You canʼt act out of rage or you will regret it! Letʼs talk it out before itʼs too…” Kenverʼs voice as the ground turned gray and soon the whole frontier turned gray, including the building and the wall. The black tree then popped from the ground, from the building, and everywhere.

”This is Absolute Domain…” The leader of the Imperial Investigator muttered as he recognized the skill. His skin was prickling, uncomfortable, as he felt something unknowing oppressing him. He felt a bad premonition as he looked at Tang Shaoyang, he did not know but his guts were telling him not to get in this Senior Administratorʼs way. However, he could not stand back and watch his subordinate getting attacked. He was forced to fight back if Tang Shaoyang tried to kill his subordinate.

Kenver was aware that Mein was using him, knowing he would not stand back when Tang Shaoyang attacked. He hated it, he cursed his own subordinate in his heart, but there was nothing he could do but to fight.

Tang Shaoyang summoned all his spirits, all of them but Zara. He used [Spirit Integration] with Zara. A new pair of black wings came out behind him, and his aura was mixed with the Death Aura from Zara. The terrifying aura got even more terrifying.

At the same time, Doombringer the Calamity Behemoth roared in excitement. It was the same for the calamityʼs spirits, roaring in excitement for the upcoming fight. The Hurakan Legionʼs soldiers retreated more than twenty steps, the same for Kenver and Mein. They made a distance from the summoned creature.

Despite the calamity and the other spirits summoned, Kenverʼs eyes locked on one figure, the gorgeous figure in transformation who revealed she also had a dragon in blood in her vein. The figure had not shown the True Dragon transformation, but Kenver could tell that this woman was an ancient dragon, one of the descendants of the first-generation dragons.

ʼFrost Dragon? Zonarasʼs descendant? No, this one is stronger than Zonaras.ʼ Kenver tried to recall the top power in the Dragon Realm, and for some reason, he could not find which clan this woman came from. Soon he was distracted by the overwhelming aura as all the summoned creatures released their auras, overwhelming the whole frontier.

His chest heaved up and down as his face paled. His lips turned blue as he realized that the Senior Administrator was not the same as the Senior Administrator he met in the past. He remembered what Commander Edson told him. The Administrator was nurturing this Senior Administrator to be one of them, to be the next of the Executive Administrator, and reminded him that the Senior Administrator might be at the same level as the Executive Administrator in terms of strength.

Kenver admitted that he did not take the warning seriously, but he realized it now. The man might be on the same level as the Executive Administrator. This explained why the Battle King Soares died in the Senior Administratorʼs hand.

”Edson! What are you doing!? Are you going to let the frontier be destroyed?” He lost his composure and shouted. If a fight broke out now, without a doubt, the frontier would be destroyed.

To his surprise, he sensed the familiar aura from the distance, floating in the air. He looked toward the direction, and Edson was the floating figure. The Commander of the frontier watched from afar instead of intervening, not even trying to diffuse the situation.

”Let Senior Administrator Tang Shaoyang fight your subordinate. Blood for blood!” Commander Edson responded, shaking his head.

He wanted to see the limit of Tang Shaoyang. He did not know if he had achieved his goal, this might not be Tang Shaoyangʼs limit. Back then, Tang Shaoyang fought under the Void Gate against the Battle King Soares. He did not feel this strong aura. It meant Tang Shaoyang killed Battle King Soares without using this power, and what if Tang Shaoyang unleashed everything now?

Commander Edson did a quick calculation, and it was to sacrifice his soldiers who followed Imperial Investigator Meinʼs order and Mein himself. He was confident that he and his legion could take down Tang Shaoyang, but at what price? The frontier might be flattened, and he might lose more than half of his army.

The army of the void creature who waited might take that chance to attack, and they would not stand a chance against them if they lost more than half of their soldiers. After such a consideration, he decided to sacrifice Mein and his subordinate who followed Meinʼs order. Unless Tang Shaoyang wanted to go for the people who had nothing to do with this incident, then he had to step up.

”Are you crazy, Edson? How could you watch your people die before your eyes!?” Kenver was surprised that Edson was so scared to take action. He felt like Edsonʼs involvement would help them to calm Tang Shaoyang down, or even pressure the Senior Administrator.

”Senior Administrator Tang Shaoyang is not our enemy, Chief Kenver. Our actual enemy is waiting for us to fight each other and take that chance to destroy the frontier. I would rather sacrifice these stupid mongrels than lose the frontier to the Void Cult!”
