Chapter 1840  The Aftermath Is Always More Complicated Than The Battle (2)

Tang Shaoyang stayed in his dragon form because everything was enhanced, not just his stats but also his five senses. Everything was clear, and he could see a small movement, such as most commandersʼ hands fidgeting, looking nervous. He even noticed their emotions: They were getting more restless and fearful. They had their pride to maintain, so no one retreated in the face of the two dragons.

”We need to have a re-negotiation about our deal regarding the corpses of void creatures and the equipment loots—”

”NO!” Tang Shaoyang did not let Commander Edson finish his words, ”I killed the seven kings! I killed the emperor, in fact, I should get more than you promised me. Now you are trying to rob me instead of rewarding me? Am I hearing it right, Commander Edson?”

Commander Edson visibly gulped out a mouthful of saliva and was followed by the people behind him.

”But—”

”Thereʼs no but! If you will take what is mine, then I will fight to keep what is mine!” Tang Shaoyang was no longer holding back anymore. The message was clear and straight, they would have to fight him if they tried to take the equipment loot, and the corpses.

”We also helped you, fight the void creatures together. You canʼt be selfish taking them all!” One of the commanders from the Second Alliance Army spoke out.

They changed their plan after finding out how strong Tang Shaoyang was. They found out that Tang Shaoyang wanted the corpses and fifty percent of the equipment drops. Whatever Tang Shaoyang tried to do with the corpses and the equipment, they wanted to take it from him to slow him down.

Tang Shaoyang straightly ignored the man, locking his gaze on Commander Edson.

The Commander of the Hurakan Legion was also nervous, especially when he started to feel cold. However, the Second Alliance Armyʼs demand was reasonable. It was not like they were asking something outrageous.

”Can you be more flexible, Chief Administrator Tang Shaoyang? I recognize you with the most contribution in this battle, but we canʼt deny their contribution. I think itʼs reasonable to share the loot with them.” Commander Edson hoped that Tang Shaoyang was as reasonable as before and willing to give up some shares.

”I think itʼs more reasonable for you to fulfill your promise, Commander Edson. I donʼt care what you promised them or what they demanded from you, I will not give up anything that is mine,” Tang Shaoyang lowered his six heads, surrounding Commander Edson, ”If you insist on taking my loots, I will not go as far as fight you, but I will bring me this to the Executive Administrator. You know, I donʼt want to make a second war between the administrator and The Hurakan Kingdom over loot, and I am sure your king is willing to compensate me to avoid it, especially when I am doing your kingdom a favor, killing the traitor from your kingdom.”

He shared Thomasʼ killing notification with Commander Edson. Edsonʼs eyes widened as he confirmed that Thomas Lysvand was dead, and the giant body behind the dragon was another solid proof of Thomasʼ death. Tang Shaoyang made it clear that if he did not follow their agreement, then he would make it bigger.

”Can you be more reasonable? We are fighting together! We are comrades, shouldnʼt you share the loot with us?” Another commander spoke up. It was followed by a few commanders, but Tang Shaoyang straightly ignored them. Not even acknowledging them.

They all fumed getting ignored, but no one dared to take an aggressive stance or showed an outright hostility to the dragon.

”Canʼt we really talk it out?” Commander Edson was on the verge of pleading, his voice had a mixture of desperation.

The problem was that the second alliance army insisted on taking the corpses of the void creatures. When he asked them why they wanted the corpses, they gave him a reasonable excuse. It was to research the void creature in case something similar happened, so they could be more prepared for the next war.

”I have enough, Commander Edson. I have yielded two times in such a short time, and you try to take advantage of me again. Do you think I am such an easy person to take advantage of? Do you really want to force my hand, Commander Edson?” Tang Shaoyang released his dragon aura, and it overwhelmed the surroundings.

A few commanders took two steps back, but most of them maintained their position, fending off the aura as their faces strained.

”You are pushing it. You keep testing my limit, Commander Edson. I will take what comes to mind, now! Thereʼs no more negotiation!” Tang Shaoyang had enough, and he hated it when Commander Edson took him easy, thinking he would yield to whatever they asked him.

Commander Edson was in a more awful situation than before. Tang Shaoyang made it clear now that he would not renegotiate or share anything they agreed to before. But he could not back down easily because it would make him look bad, especially in front of his own general. At the same time, he was intimidated by the six-headed dragon in front of him.

If he worked together with the alliance army, they might kill Tang Shaoyang. However, how many would die just to kill Tang Shaoyang. The problem would not stop there as the aftermath of killing an administrator was much more terrible than the six-headed dragon.

”People might fear the name of the Hurakan Legion! The administrator might respect the Hurakan Legion, but I donʼt care who you are, Commander Edson. If you take whatʼs mine, then I will fight back to take it back. I donʼt care who you are, but if you try to step over me, then you must be ready to step over yours and your people as well.”

The atmosphere got even more tense, and it stayed like that for three minutes. Those three minutes were like an hour for Commander Edson and the commanders behind. Especially when the other spirits joined and stayed behind Tang Shaoyang, looking at them like they were prey.

Commander Edson let out a sigh, ”I will not take the corpses from you. You can have it all, but we want Thomas Lysvandʼs body. The Hurakan Kingdom will give him a proper burial. Regardless of what the man has done, he is still one of the renowned commanders from the Hurakan Kingdom.”

Tang Shaoyang shook his six heads, ”It seems like you donʼt understand anything I said, Commander Edson. Canʼt you understand me? Am I speaking in a language that you donʼt understand all of a sudden?”

”All the bodies are mine, especially the emperor and the kingsʼ bodies. They are mine, and I will not let you take anything from me!”

Commander Edson raised his head and looked straight at Tang Shaoyang, ”I canʼt let you take his body, Chief Administrator Tang Shaoyang. That body belongs to the Hurakan Kingdom, and I will bring him back to the kingdom!”

All six heads grinned, showing sharp white teeth, each of them almost the size of a human, ”Then you can try to take the body from me, Commander Edson. You are giving me more reasons to get more bodies, and I donʼt mind it!”

Tang Shaoyangʼs wing expanded, and it was followed by Avynʼs wings. The temperature dropped instantly and everything around them froze. Khaya received a signal beforehand from Radiance and brought them further from Tang Shaoyang. The spirits flanked Commander Edson, and they were ready to fight anytime. They were waiting for a signal from Tang Shaoyang.

The Royal Knight of the Hurakan Kingdom or the people in the Hurakan Kingdom called them Kingʼs Guards. They were a legion of knights that were tasked to protect The King, not the capital. There was another legion protecting the capital. The Royal Knight only answered a call from The King, not even the Queen or The Crown Prince could move the Royal Knight, not even a decree with a Kingʼs Seal. They only listened to a direct order from King Luminar directly.

The Royal Knight was made of five thousand trained knights who had been through rigorous selection and training. The man who was tasked to lead the most elite force in the Hurakan Kingdom was Amaro, Legatee Amaro. Amaro had been leading the Royal Knight as long as King Luminarʼs reign.

After receiving an emergency call from the Hurakan Kingdom, King Luminar called the Royal Knight and sent them to help the frontier. Amaro protested because it could jeopardize Kingʼs safety, and it might be a ploy by the Void Cult. After a strong protest, King Luminar agreed only to send one thousand Royal Knights, but Amaro must lead them.

Amaro had to agree with and left the capital in a rush. It took him some time to reach the frontier, but when he arrived at the frontier, he knew a battle happened there. He knew a battle with just a smell, but he did not hear any noise as if the battle was over, based on the report he received from the Hurakan Legion, the battle should not be over this early.

He signaled his people to follow him, picking up their pace. The gate guards did not question Amaro as they recognized the emblem for the Royal Knight.

Amaro got more suspicious when he did not hear anything, but he saw the gate was opened, and void creaturesʼ corpses were all over the gate. Through the falling gate, he could see the sea of void creature corpses. He sent a signal for his people to stay down as his figure blurred, reaching the top of the wall. There he saw two dragons, and one of them was a six-headed dragon.

His eyes opened wide in surprise as all he saw was void creature corpses all over in front of the frontier, and two dragons out of place in the picture. With a lot of experience in war, battle, and fights, Amaro quickly noticed the tense energy around the dragons.

With his sharp sight, he noticed twenty people in front of the dragon, and he recognized the armor from seven of them, the armor of the Hurakan Legion.

”I was right, they will try to make a move after the battle, and they will try to involve the Hurakan Legion in their scheme as well.”

Amaro heard a feminine voice muttering next to him.
