Chapter 1845  Home Sweet Home

Tang Shaoyang was dizzy with how lead his team members were, and then cheers suddenly followed with another dead silence. Everyone stared at Tang Shaoyang as if he was an anomaly. It was not even a year since Tang Shaoyang became an administrator, and he skipped three ranks to become the renowned unattainable rank.

Tang Shaoyang shrugged and opened the interface for his team. His name was still registered as the captain and so were his team members. It meant his promotion did not affect his team, at all.

”We need to talk about the team,” He went to his couch and the others followed him. Everyone took it seriously as their blank looks were replaced by a solemn look.

”As you have guessed, I have received my promotion to Executive Administrator. It will change how the team works because I have my own tasks as the Executive Administrator, and I donʼt think you are ready to join a mission for an Executive Administrator.”

That was the main issue. Even though the team remained, they could not take the mission together. There were two solutions in his mind. The first was that they kept the team, but they operated separately. He was still their captain, but they did their own mission. The second solution was that he gave the captain position to someone else in the team and let them continue The Reds.

”Shouldnʼt we be fine? Do we have your skill fusion to help us? With your fusion, we can help…” Khayaʼs voice trailed off as she remembered when they tried to ambush the eight kings. Only six people joined Tang Shaoyang while the remaining team members stayed on the wall.

She could not blame them for that, but she realized that they were barely help, and in fact, she could see them, including herself, as a burden for their captain.

”Or we can keep the team and operate separately, or I will step down and you guys choose a new captain. Donʼt worry though because you still have my backing even after I leave the team. Itʼs still my team.”

Tang Shaoyang smiled, assuring them that they had his support even if he stepped down from the team.

Several people opened their mouths, trying to say something, but they did not know what to say. Everyone seemed to expect something like this, but they did not expect this would come to them so fast.

”You donʼt have to make the decision now. We have a one-week break, all of us. You can discuss whatʼs your decision together, and no one to be blamed even if you are looking for a new team or forming entirely a new team instead of continuing The Reds.”

Tang Shaoyang stood up from the couch, ”You have one week to discuss, a lot of time to think about it. I donʼt mind even if you join another team but remember, my support is only for The Reds.”

The last part was the reminder for the Admin Helpers who got promoted to Junior Administrator. From what he knew, most Admin Helpers who got promoted to Junior Administrator would try to form a new team or join a team that was similar to their strength. The reasoning was simple, joining a weaker team would allow you to get more contribution points and more credits by finishing an easier mission.

”Thatʼs it for me. I am going home, and you have one week to decide,” He did not let them hold him here and disappeared from the living room.

Tang Shaoyang returned to his office, and he could not stop smiling at the thought of meeting his daughter again. The mission that was supposed to take years to complete, finished the mission in two months and got even more reward from the mission.

[Welcome back, Your Majesty. Have you completed your mission, or is it just a few dayʼs break from the mission?] Origin greeted Tang Shaoyang. The Smart Ai was the only one to notice his return right away and immediately asked about his mission.

Tang Shaoyangʼs smile froze, cringed a little bit at how Origin addressed him. He almost forgot his status as the emperor, and he was not used to it. The people in the frontier treated him as a normal soldier, and he was more comfortable with it. However, he knew it was not something he could change because Zhang Mengyao and Li Shuang kept reminding him that he must get used to it.

”I have finished the mission early, and I will have a seven-day break before returning for another mission.”

[Congratulations on completing your mission, Your Majesty.] Origin congratulated him with a genuine tone instead of its usual flat tone.

Tang Shaoyang nodded and immediately asked his priority, ”Firstly, tell me where my daughter is. Secondly, give me an update about our territory. And last, an update for our Dimensional Tower.”

He expected to see Xiulan in her room, or maybe somewhere close to the smart base. This was the safest place for his daughter, after all.

[Princess Xiulan is currently playing in Kalliyan Mountain with the wolf pup. A squad of ten elite Tarriors are protecting the princess, and Lady Kalliyan herself is there to keep a watch for potential danger.]

Tang Shaoyang furrowed his brow, blinking his eyes a few times. He was annoyed and wondered how the mothers could let Xiulan play in the wild. Tang Xiulan was a year and four months old. It was too dangerous for her to play in the mountain even with the guards or even Kalliyan himself.

[You donʼt need to worry about Princess Xiulanʼs safety, Your Majesty. Princess can walk without wobbling or falling, and she can run faster than three to four-year-old children. Lady Li Shuang also only allows the Princess to play in the mountain once a week. On top of that, Lady Lilliana always stays next to Princess Xiulan.]

[Before I go for the update, do you want to hear the good news or do you want me to continue with the update?]

”Is it more important than what I have asked?”

[Itʼs probably more important for you as an individual, and if we see it from the empireʼs perspective, the update is more important.]

”Alright, hit me up with the good news.”

[We have confirmed Lady Elinova and Lady Li Shuangʼs pregnancy. The ladies agreed not to tell you anything because they are afraid that it will disturb you during your dangerous mission.]

Tang Shaoyang was about to open the door and head out toward Kalliyan Mountain, but his hand froze mid-air. He stopped, blinking his eyes a few times. They had shared the news that Elin and Li Shuang might be pregnant when he was in the frontier, and it came true.

He was surprised, then happy, and confused. His emotions kept changing in a short time. Happy that they were expecting his children, especially after he found out that it would be hard for his wives to get pregnant the stronger he got. Then he was confused because based on the theory, the stronger his wives were, the bigger the chance they would get pregnant. However, Elinova and Li Shuang were the weakest among his wives, they were the lowest rank and also level.

”Whatever, it means the theory is wrong.”

Tang Shaoyang threw away the confusion and did not put much thought into it. The confusion was replaced with joy with the news.

”Whereʼs Elin and Li Shuang? Have you told them yet about my return?”

[I havenʼt told them yet. Lady Elin is overseeing the new dining hall in our new city. Lady Li Shuang is in her office, checking our new citiesʼ report. With the dwarvesʼ absence, the development is slowing down, and I think Lady Li Shuang wants you to pull the dwarf from the God Realm to help with the development, Your Majesty. We are considering buying the new building from the System, and it will be discussed in our Quarter Meeting.]

Origin reminded him about the dwarves in the God Realm. If not for Origin, he might forget about them. There were still another four months of protection for his territory, so they would be safe for now. But he was confused, ”What do you mean by the Dwarvesʼ absence?”

Tang Shaoyang did not remember bringing all the dwarves into the God Realm, but just half of the dwarf builders.

[President Engin decided to bring all builders to the God Realm because he said it was urgent to set up a proper defense in the God Realm if we didnʼt want to lose the territory. Our neighbors in the God Realm are creating a fortress, and we are surrounded by three factions. Thatʼs why Lady Li Shuang agreed for the dwarves to focus on building a proper defense in the God Realm.]

From the sound of it, it seemed like he must check on the dwarves first before checking on his daughter and his wives.
