Armed Train in the Apocalypse

The intense temperature changes tore through the blizzard, even the President inside a bunker several kilometers away could see it clearly.

He looked at his daughter on the opposite side, calmly saying, ”The Gunfire must also have its own Tier Four Evolver.”

Tasia’s pupils contracted slightly, her voice icy, ”Do you agree with their opinion too, Father?”

”Their opinion?”

”The proposal to marry me off to the train commander.”

”Oh, you’re talking about that group’s opinion.” The President withdrew his gaze from the periscope, looking at his daughter with a slight smile, ”They think about negotiating peace before a battle, and about surrender once it starts. If not for Sergei and me still being alive, along with someone as stubborn as Akseyel, this country would have fallen apart long ago.”

”Trade, economy, negotiations... these methods are indeed effective, but they are not suitable for our Northern Alliance people. They’ve forgotten their bloodline and honor, but rest assured, Tasia, I will help them recover it.”

Upon hearing the President’s cold, firm voice, Tasia felt a softness in her heart, ”I just wanted to ask your opinion, I didn’t mean to...”

”But I have opinions about them!”

An hour later, after confirming no issues on the frontline battlefield, the Gunfire President hurriedly evacuated the bunker.

As an ordinary person, if he were possessed by the white demon, all of Gunfire would be doomed.

But for the legislators who still lived luxuriously in the aftermath of the apocalypse, when the doors of their shelters were kicked open by the guards and they were forcibly dragged onto conscription trucks, they knew they were finished.

...

The battle on the frontline came abruptly and was over swiftly.

Neither Xiaoba nor Lin Jin showed their faces from the train; that Tier Three fiery horse was already burned to the brink, eventually being squeezed out by Su Huan.

He was curious about what this thing was, as Lin Jin’s flames carried the Rule of Destruction, and after burning for a quarter of an hour, not only did it fail to destroy the entity’s soul, but it made it even more vigorous.

It nearly broke through to the defensive line.

However, under Su Huan’s unreasonable energy pressure, the fiery horse could only transform into a small cluster of pale flames, wandering in his palm.

Sometimes it turned into a mini colt, sometimes into a beautiful demon with human face and horse mane, but no matter how it struggled, it couldn’t escape this palm covered with luminescent markings.

”Is this also a white demon?”

He Jie asked curiously.

”A new breed, unfortunately burnt stupid and unable to communicate.”

Su Huan regrettably clenched his fist, and a wisp of white smoke rose, erasing that Tier Three white demon completely.

But in the next moment, he was surprised to see his right hand again, where the demon’s head tattoo heated up, its mouth opening and closing, as if savoring some supreme delicacy, with a look of enjoyment.

And then, a massive life energy suddenly emerged from his right hand, surging into his body. Although not as pure as the Crown Pear Tree, the total volume far exceeded, increasing Su Huan’s life force by a fifteenth!

Though unsure about the conversion loss, the quality was undoubtedly terrifying.

If... sweeping away all the white demons of the Northern Alliance, even relying on this life force alone might promote him to Tier Five?

Considering this possibility, Su Huan felt no joy, only looked down at the mark on his hand. This thing looked like a funnel for force-feeding ducks, so the question arises, what was the person feeding the ducks thinking?

Yuri’s voice interrupted Su Huan’s contemplation.

The Armed Corps’ battle had completely convinced the two of them. In the recent battle, Su Huan had neither demonstrated command over his subordinates nor shown an understanding of the terrain, but he exhibited the absolute power of the Armed Corps.

In the face of the terrifying power of evolvers, traditional combat methods seemed like an old man trying to maintain dignity, but the smell on his body, and the frayed edges of his clothes made him pale by comparison.

Yuri gave a salute, ”All the warriors of the Gunfire on this challenge line will accept the command of the Armed Train.”

Akseyel silently saluted, then took off his hat, heading to the rear with a bruised face.

Su Huan had Hu Shuo stop him.

In Akseyel’s puzzled gaze, Su Huan asked, ”I remember you said you remember every defensive arrangement on this hundreds-kilometers-long frontline?”

The latter replied straightforwardly, ”Of course, they were all personally arranged by me.”

Su Huan said blandly, ”Then I’ve requisitioned you, no objections, right?”

Yuri also looked at him with concern.

But Akseyel hardly hesitated, put on his hat, once again stood firm before Su Huan, saluted, and then said a string of words in the Northern Alliance language.

The translation is, ”Commander of the 1st Guard Tank Army, Lieutenant General of the ground forces, Akseyel Petrovich Volkov, ordered to come, ready to follow your instructions.”

...

The white demons did not intend to give them too much time to prepare. Almost as soon as the beast horde paused, they began small-scale attacks on the alliance army’s battle line, seemingly unaware of the principle of tightening the punch.

But this battle line was too long, stretching six hundred kilometers from south to north. If not for the Eternal Night Zone at the very north and Donghuang’s Wind Snow Zone at the far south, this line would have been stretched to an unprecedented nearly ten thousand kilometers.

If that were the case, even if White Bear and Mao Bear formed a family and pulled all the troops, it wouldn’t be enough.

In this light, a few hundred kilometers seemed quite compact.

But there are only sixteen bunkers on this line; if East Huang were not pressing so close, the number of bunkers would be even fewer. As the world’s largest national territory, the Northern Alliance’s combat focuses on ”depth, echelon, firepower, and maneuver combinations,” rarely using bunkers as the main defensive body.
