Armed Train in the Apocalypse

Feeling the terrifying aura, Yuri gritted his teeth and said, ”The command of the Eastern Front Firestorm is in your hands now. I hope we have the chance to taste victory’s vodka together.”

”We will.”

Su Huan slightly turned his head to look at He Jie.

The latter gave him a reassuring glance.

At the same time, the Armed Train started to move. Accompanied by the whistle, its massive body began to move slowly, like a steel fortress straddling the front line.

Electromagnetic railguns, anti-aircraft machine guns... all offensive weapons turned their barrels. After a few seconds of brewing, they fiercely opened fire.

Compared to the Firestorm’s artillery, the weapons on the train had electronic targeting!

The ghostly blue stream silently tore through the snow, leaving a blue river in the sky, like an arc-light-guiding dawn.

The next moment, numerous artillery shells hit the leading white bear, the blood waves, and beastly roars drew everyone’s attention. Figures wearing power armor were already riding snowmobiles rushing out of the train, some even rushed out in just a windbreaker.

Greenish figures were racing wildly across the snowfield.

No trenches, no defense lines; for the Armed Corps, the train was the best defense line. They were the weapons extending from the city wall, with only one target, to shred the enemy!

In the snowstorm, the speed of the mongoose surpassed even the snowmobiles. Leaping, a military dagger had already blinded the eye of a Tier Two white bear, and before the beast’s enraged paw could fall, the figure had flown away.

Leaving behind a faint golden afterimage.

A Tier One Fearsome Wolf leaped towards the nearest snowmobile, Liu Zi not only didn’t retreat but twisted the throttle, laughing wildly as they drilled underneath the wolf, with the guy behind him landing a round into the wolf’s soft underbelly.

But faster than them was Xiao Hong’s bullet, precisely hitting the eye of a Tier Two Fearsome Wolf, but at the critical moment, the beast tilted its head and closed its eyes, the 7.62 full-power round only injuring its eyelid, the ferocious light in the wolf’s eyes exposed, it lunged toward the nearest snowmobile.

Facing a Tier Two attack, Tier One soldiers had no time to react.

Just as one was about to fall victim to the wolf’s jaws, the mongoose darted from the side, golden eyes glaring angrily, fur standing on end, letting out a sharp roar. The Fearsome Wolf flinched as if terrified by a terrifying beast, its pupils shrinking instantly, instinctively retracting its palm.

A heavy sniper bullet wrapped in gusty wind slammed directly into its forehead, the whirlwind surrounding the bullet swirling madly like a drill, directly drilling into the Fearsome Wolf’s skull, a more terrifying howl erupted from the battlefield, an insane hysteria.

But the Armed Train’s snipers didn’t give it a moment’s struggle, a slenderer blue light than the electromagnetic railgun concentrated fire on him.

The Tier Two wolf’s head, harder than metal, instantly got blasted into a sieve.

In just a few seconds, the herd presented a tragic scene of flesh clashing against gunfire.

Tier Ones were utterly powerless, dead on the ground before seeing anyone, only Tier Twos barely delayed the corps’ speed, but soon enough they had corresponding Tier Two experts stepping forward to slay them.

For a moment, the onlookers of Firestorm couldn’t tell who were the beasts.

Yuri watched those Tier Two experts, inexplicably feeling ashamed of the stars on his shoulder.

The herd leader was a Tier Three steed, seeing its offensive flounder, neighed, gathering the obstructive wind and snow around each Evolution Beast, instantly boosting the herd’s speed by fifty percent.

Moreover, the whirlwind disrupted the bullets; even the heavy shells from the anti-aircraft gun were layer upon layer consumed, leaving only shallow blood holes on the Evolution Beasts’ tough bodies, unable to inflict effective damage.

Akseyel suddenly said something, looking urgent, but Su Huan didn’t understand, so he turned to Yuri and Hu Shuo.

Yuri hurriedly translated, ”Akseyel said Tier Three Evolution Beasts are hard to kill, ask your men to pull out, he will let the rear artillery brigade concentrate fire.”

He Jie nonchalantly refused, ”No need, just watch.”

After Eugene translated this back, Akseyel snorted, annoyance in his eyes.

Yet he also harbored some doubt, even if this wasn’t a Tier Three Lord, how could the Armed Train handle it without Su Huan’s intervention?

He admitted that those few Tier Two Evolvers were formidable, single combatants powerful, neither he nor Yuri could defeat any of them, but this was a Tier Three Evolution Beast, entirely different from Tier Two strength!

What did they rely on?

But the next moment, he saw what the Armed Corps relied on.

Metallic grains rose from the snowfield, coalescing into gleaming metal thin sheets, arranging themselves in grids, forming a diamond-shaped net like a fishing net, spanning before the herd.

Even as the whirlwind blew, it remained unmoved.

But that wasn’t all, each metal piece fused with the surrounding metal, four into two, two into one... as they merged, more metallic grains rose from the ground.

This was Xiaoba’s new ability upon ascending to Tier Three ”Master of Battlefield Works”, ”Collapse”, not ”Purification”, but compressing metal continuously until he could compress no more.

A palm-sized iron piece could compress to over a hundred kilograms at most.

However, this time was short, about only sixty to seventy kilograms.

Then it was simple, he could let the metal hover in place or fling it out.

The metal’s own mass affected Xiaoba’s control, but this influence wasn’t absolute, the energy consumed to bear the metal’s weight wasn’t conserved, in other words, it took very little effort for Xiaoba to move the metal.

Thus, the herd faced a metal storm.

The metal fragments instantly collided with the whirlwind summoned by the spirited steed, a dense shriek erupted from the snowfield center, sweeping across the world, making Yuri and others’ ears numb even at a kilometer distance.

Akseyel’s face stiffened watching this scene, azure eyes reflecting a flicker of flame.

Friction between the metal pieces and the whirlwind had ignited fire, regardless of the speed or sparse oxygen, the flame burned stubbornly, upgrading the metal storm to a flame metal storm in moments!

In the snowstorm, golden flames hammered down on the herd, skillfully avoiding the armed soldiers mixed within, viciously thrusting into the Evolution Beasts’ bodies.

A breath, wind roared.

Two breaths, wails rose and fell.

Three breaths, all was calm.

On the entire snowfield, only a blazing fire remained, more dazzling under the reflection of white snow, glorious as celestial fire, scorching the entire snowfield.

Except for the Tier Three spirited steed, all Evolution Beasts had perished, the pale demons within them never even had a chance to emerge, incinerated clean by flames imbued with the [Destruction] rule.

Thus, at the end of life, the Evolution Beasts let out a mournful wail by instinct.

The spirited steed survived not because of its formidable combat but because it had no physical form!

The metal pieces passed right through it, only the fiercely white heart of the flame remained, the steed more enraged, its body ablaze with white flames, invisible and colorless, like horse mane, blazing along the towering majestic body.

In just a few breaths, the flames left by Lin Jin seemed to vanish.

But the next moment, the extinguished flames ”reignited,” coupling with the ”Fire Seed” left from the first burn, doubling the ignition points instantly!

Furthermore, the ”reignited” flames would again leave a ”Fire Seed,” the two skills formed a perfect cycle, like a persistent blister, once caught in the flames, there was no getting rid of it.

In an instant, the white blazing steed became a crimson fire steed, diving straight into the center of the metal storm.

The metal changed direction, from longitudinal movement to rotation.

In the astonished gaze of the crowd, a flaming tornado roared and howled over the snowfield.
