Alchemy Master

Chapter 198, A Bountiful Harvest

Although the examiner who opened the betting knew about the strength of the New Apprentices, in the past few decades, there had never been a sign that the last-place New Apprentice could win against a Senior Apprentice. They were very confident about this.

“I… I… Of course I accept!” The examiner’s eyes curved into crescents with glee at these Instructors participating in the gambling.

Only he knew that Qin Yichen was far from being the last-place candidate. He was a monster who had defeated the first-place examinee Huyuan Songqing, and received special approval from Elder Xiao Lin to enter the Alchemy Tower without taking the test!

Before the news spread, it was time for this hardworking examiner to make a big profit!

On the stone platform in the gambling arena, Yang Yang, who was originally skillfully refining materials, suddenly trembled. The next moment, he looked at Qin Yichen opposite him with disbelief.

At this time, the latter’s hands were constantly waving over the Pill Furnace, and streams of Spiritual Energy were controlling the medicinal herbs in the furnace like flowing water under his will.

“This… this is the Entry Realm of mastery over Spiritual Energy? How old is this kid? How has he already reached the Peak Stage Entry Realm?”

Yang Yang was shocked. Among each batch of Alchemy Tower examinees, those who could reach this level of Spiritual Energy control would never exceed three in number. But this last-place kid had actually achieved it, and he had entered this state right at the start of refining!?

Yang Yang, who had just reached the Mid Stage Entry Realm, knew clearly in his heart that he had no chance of winning against someone whose Spiritual Energy control had reached the Peak Stage Entry Realm!

But now that the duel had already begun, it was too late for him to regret it.

Finally, after struggling, Yang Yang chose to concede defeat himself rather than wait for the latter to refine the Pill.

“I concede!” As soon as these three short words came out of Yang Yang’s mouth, the many Senior Apprentices below the platform were shocked.

“What? Concede?!”

“Haha… Is Yang Yang still half asleep? Move aside, it’s my turn, I’ll go first!”

…

As Yang Yang conceded, Qin Yichen also stopped his actions. At this time, there was already a refined Qi Bursting Pill lying in his Pill Furnace.

After hearing the shouts of several Senior Apprentices, a smile curled at the corners of Qin Yichen’s mouth. He inconspicuously put away that Qi Bursting Pill. If the other Senior Apprentices saw it, wouldn’t his plan to earn Contribution Points be ruined?

Yang Yang came down from the platform with a gloomy face. Looking at his Alchemy Card which had been deducted five Contribution Points, he chose to stand aside without a word.

As soon as he came down, another Senior Apprentice immediately inserted his Alchemy Card into the slot and leaped up.

“I concede!” In just three minutes, this Senior Apprentice, like Yang Yang, retrieved his Alchemy Card with a gloomy face and stood under the stone platform without a word.

“Damn it! Yang Yang, you two idiots, you gave that kid ten Contribution Points! I’ll duel with you for ten Contribution Points! Haha, this time, I can make a huge profit!”

As soon as this Senior Apprentice came down from the platform, someone else immediately laughed and went up.

“I concede!”

“I concede!”

…

One after another, five Senior Apprentices came down from the stone platform with gloomy faces. However, as if they had an extremely good tacit understanding, they did not say a word. It was as if they had agreed in advance to intentionally go up and donate Contribution Points.

After seeing five Senior Apprentices lose, the remaining Senior Apprentices finally stopped rushing up as eagerly as before. A hint of doubt appeared in their eyes.

However, they looked at the New Apprentices in front of Qin Yichen whose Spiritual Energy cultivation and mastery seemed to be lacking, then looked at Qin Yichen standing on the platform, they were confused. Thinking that he now had over fifty Contribution Points, making him a fat sheep, several greedy Senior Apprentices still gritted their teeth, inserted their Alchemy Cards, and leaped up.

“They just followed the old rules and did not touch the New Apprentice’s Pill Furnace. But I won’t be as merciful as them!” As soon as he leaped onto the platform, that Senior Apprentice said.

After saying this, as if feeling a bit embarrassed himself, this Senior Apprentice picked up the medicinal herbs and waited for the countdown to end before starting to refine.

After two minutes, this Senior Apprentice’s face became gloomy. At this moment, he finally understood why the previous people had conceded defeat on their own. [Damn it!! Peak Stage Entry Realm control over Spiritual Energy. That’s something only Two Stars Apprentices could accomplish!]

Three minutes in, this Senior Apprentice could not help but send out a wave of Spiritual Energy, intending to disrupt Qin Yichen’s refining.

*Bang!* With a muffled sound, a smell of burnt medicinal herbs spread out, but it was not from Qin Yichen’s Pill Furnace, it was from that Senior Apprentice’s!

“Spirit… Spirit Realm Spiritual Energy!”

At this moment, the Spiritual Energy that Qin Yichen revealed finally exposed his Spiritual Energy cultivation. Instantly, those One Star Senior Apprentices who had not yet broken through to the Spirit Realm all had extremely ugly expressions.

It was laughable that they had treated a New Apprentice whose Spiritual Energy cultivation and control far exceeded their own as a fat sheep.

At this moment, that ‘kind’ smile at the corners of Qin Yichen’s mouth had turned into a sinister smile of a successful scheme in the eyes of the Senior Apprentices.

[Hmm, still about twenty Contribution Points short of upgrading to become a Two Stars Apprentice.] In just half an hour, looking at the Alchemy Card that had now become more than seventy Contribution Points, Qin Yichen satisfiedly pulled out the card.

These Senior Apprentices who had fallen so low as to bully New Apprentices were originally at the bottom of the Alchemy Tower. Now that they had seen Qin Yichen’s strength, they probably would not be so unwise as to go up and donate more Contribution Points to him.

“Damn it! A bunch of trash, actually giving him so many Contribution Points!” Huyuan Songqing’s face was extremely ugly, and he could not help but curse under his breath.

Hearing his curse, several Senior Apprentices who were already upset about losing Contribution Points immediately looked at him with dissatisfaction.

However, when they saw the Two Stars Apprentice beside him who was respectfully attentive to him, these Senior Apprentices could only suppress their anger.

A New Apprentice who had just entered the Alchemy Tower and was already being received by a Two Stars Apprentice, it seemed he must have a background in the Alchemy Tower that they could not afford to offend.

“Ah! My Contribution Points!”

“Damn it, how did you find such a freak? How is he really in last place among the New Apprentices? Huh?”

While these Senior Apprentices were heartbroken over their Contribution Points, in the room above, several Instructors could not help but roar.

Spirit Realm Spiritual Energy, and Peak Stage Entry Realm mastery, which made even them sweat with embarrassment. How was this be a New Apprentice? Even Two Stars or even Three Stars Apprentices might not reach this level!

“Old He, what do you mean, are you going back on your word?”

The examiner faced the several gambling-loving Instructors with a solemn expression and rebuked, “He didn’t even take the test! He was specially permitted to enter the Alchemy Tower by Elder Xiao Lin. How would I know how strong he is!?”

“What? Didn’t take the test? Specially permitted by Elder Xiao Lin!?”

Hearing this, the faces of the several Instructors changed again. Elder Xiao Lin was someone they greatly revered.

In the end, these Instructors could only reluctantly take out their Alchemy Cards and transfer Contribution Points to the examiner.
