Alchemy Master

Chapter 163, Misty Forest

Drunken revelry!

This phrase perfectly described Qin Yichen’s current life.

He was intentionally indulging himself.

After that night, Qin Yichen understood the pleasures of being a man, which made him feel that his previous life had been lived in vain!

However, since the day of the Alchemy Tower Test approached, it was about time for him to set out.

Qin Yichen knew that before going to the Central Province, there was one place he needed to visit.

The Northern Wasteland!

It was a desolate land in the Northern Region. In fact, tens of thousands of years ago, it had been the most glorious area in the Northern Region. However, after a great battle, hundreds of thousands of kilometres had been turned into a wasteland.

Thus it gained the name Northern Wasteland. It was not one of the most dangerous lands of the Northern Region.

The reason it was so dangerous was due to the effect of that great battle. Countless people died there. Thus, Death Energy filled the sky, blocking out the Sun. Even sunlight could not penetrate through those dark clouds.

Under these special conditions, a special kind of creature had evolved… Death Spirits!

Death Spirits were formed from the essence, energy, and Souls of powerful beings after death. Naturally, they were unquestionably strong. Ordinary mortals who encountered them would certainly not survive.

However, Death Spirits contained something Alchemy Masters loved most – Spirit Pearls.

Why?

Spirit Pearls contained pure Spiritual Energy. After refining them, Alchemy Masters could directly absorb them to increase their Spiritual Energy cultivation.

This was the main reason why Qin Yichen decided to go to the Northern Wasteland. He wanted to raise his Spiritual Energy cultivation to the Spirit Realm before going to the Central Province! Otherwise, in a place full of powerful experts like the Central Province, he would not even have the ability to protect himself.

[Counting the days, there aren’t many days left until the Death Gate opens…] Qin Yichen pondered.

The Death Gate was a gate to the Death Zone. It was the area with the most concentrated Death Energy in the Northern Wasteland.

Death Spirits there were extremely powerful, capable of threatening the peace of the Northern Region.

Back then, when the Death Spirits caused havoc and all living beings suffered. A great expert appeared and used his supreme methods to seal them. This was how the Death Zone and the Death Gate were formed. Thus, the dangers within the Death Zone could be imagined.

In fact, the Death Zone was the main reason why the Northern Wasteland became a famous perious area in the Northern Region.

Despite the dangers, it was still Qin Yichen’s next destination.

In the following days, Qin Yichen began to make arrangements in various aspects.

Having killed Du Junxiong and a Spirit Realm expert, the An Family would certainly not let the matter rest. Thus, he had to make early preparations. He did not like to leave troubles behind to brew, so he had another goal, which was to eliminate the An Family!

The An Family was a Millennial Family. They held power over several countries, and had a foundation that could not be compared to the Families in the Royal City.

Although the Alchemy Tower was above the Millennial Families, even they could not completely eliminate a Millennial Family. Moreover, even if Qin Yichen was chosen by the Alchemy Tower, they would not go against a Millennial Family for his sake!

In other words, to accomplish this goal, he had to rely on himself.

Qin Yichen would certainly use everything he could to his advantage.

The Heavenly Unicorn Dynasty was indeed poor, with its only advantage being the Withered Frost Grass, so Qin Yichen prioritised the cultivation of Withered Frost Grass.

He knew very well that this would become his most powerful backing.

Now, after marrying Lu Linghan, he did not have to worry about anyone holding him back.

All he had to do was focus on cultivating the next generation of powerful experts.

In the Dao of Alchemy, there were Zhou Tianwei, Lin Miaohan, Li Lingyan, and Liu Qiong’er. These were his current key targets to cultivate. During this period, he taught them many Techniques and Skills for controlling Spiritual Energy.

For the Dao of Martial Arts, he took out Cultivation Techniques and various Martial Arts Cultivation Techniques and handed them to Lu Heze to deal with.

Alchemy and Martial Arts complemented each other. It would not be long before the Heavenly Unicorn Dynasty became powerful enough to trump over all others.

“It’s time to set out…” Counting the days, Qin Yichen decided to depart.

He covered Lu Linghan with a blanket, went to see Little Ling’er, bowed respectfully outside his parents’ room, and left the Royal City alone without disturbing anyone, heading towards the Northern Wasteland.

Going from the Heavenly Unicorn Dynasty, one had to pass through a dangerous place.

Misty Forest!

Misty Forest was a dangerous area connecting several countries. It was filled with countless vicious Demonic Beasts, surpassing the Black Demon Mountain Range. It gained its named because it was shrouded in mist all year round.

“Perfect. I can train and improve my strength here.” Qin Yichen was eager to try.

Now, his pure physical strength has reached the second level of Peak Martial Grandmaster. He was already approaching the third level. The Spirit Sword in his body had also absorbed enough Spiritual Energy from the Spirit Vein, and had evolved.

His Spiritual Energy was at the first level of Peak Stage. As for his actual Martial Arts Cultivation Realm, it was slightly lower, still at the Martial Grandmaster Realm – not even at Peak Stage yet.

After all, he was more proficient in Spiritual Energy, while Martial Arts Cultivation was still quite unfamiliar to him. Going through the Misty Forest would be a good opportunity to practise his Martial Arts Techniques.

Now, as long as he did not encounter experts or Demonic Beasts above the Spirit Realm, he would not be in any mortal danger.

The northernmost part of the Heavenly Unicorn Dynasty was the outskirts of Misty Forest. Every day, many adventurers and a large number of powerful mercenaries entered to hunt for treasure, if not train or to complete various tasks.

Of course, there were also those who wanted to go to the Northern Wasteland, just like Qin Yichen.

Although the Northern Wasteland was a dangerous place, it held enormous wealth and opportunities.

However, the Misty Forest was not easy to pass through.

People entering the Misty Forest usually chose to form temporary teams and travel together.

Although such temporarily formed teams were not very stable, it was still better than going alone.

At this time, at the entrance, a figure covered in a grey linen cloth that concealed their entire form was walking towards this direction.

“Hey, Brother, are you going to the Northern Wasteland? We have two first level Peak Martial Grandmasters in our team, want to join us?” A friendly greeting came, but the figure covered in linen cloth ignored them, not responding at all.

With two Martial Grandmasters already in the team, why would they recruit a novice like him?

Were they doing charity?

That was simply impossible. The only possibility was that they intended to kill and rob.

Generally, those who could come here had some wealth, and many ill-intentioned people made a living this way.

“Recruiting an Alchemy Master, we’re about to set out…”

A call caught Qin Yichen’s attention, and he slightly raised his head, his gaze sweeping towards the source of the voice.

It was a group of mercenaries, all wearing the same attire, and each with a strong aura, clearly skilled fighters.

This was a proper mercenary group.

Qin Yichen stepped towards them.

He did not need a team with too many strong experts, as that would be dangerous for him.

To pass through the Misty Forest, he only needed someone to guide the way. In his previous life, although he had been to the Northern Wasteland, he had not passed through Misty Forest. He had gone directly from the Central Province, so he was not that familiar with Misty Forest.

He did not want to get lost inside and waste a lot of time.
