Chapter 874: Chapter 319: Armor-Breaking Strike (Two-in-One Long Chapter)_3

”Can the coordination with the mount enhance power?” Rein’s eyes lit up as he watched.

”This is a good thing, maybe I can try riding ’Little Black’ first.”

With Rein’s thought, the Hardened Essence Gold in his hand quickly transformed into a three-meter-long riding spear.

And the Fast Stepping Horned Horse ’Little Black’, sensing its master’s summons, trotted over and nuzzled against Rein affectionately.

Rein mounted the horse, holding the spear, and galloped towards a several-meter-high dark red reef on the beach, gradually picking up speed!

The surface of the reef has been worn smooth like a pebble by years of waves, covered with oysters, mussels, and other shellfish, but the reef itself is very hard.

Rein’s unusual action naturally drew the attention of the others adjusting themselves.

”Look quickly! What is Lord Rein planning?” asked one Silver Level Sword Bearer.

”Is he testing the power of the riding spear on that giant reef?” Viery guessed, following the direction of Rein’s rode.

”It seems to be the only possibility!” Angus nodded after a brief thought, agreeing with Viery’s view.

”Hiss~ The hardness of this red reef is extraordinary. I’m afraid my Knight’s Longsword, even with the Secret Skill, would only chop in about ten centimeters.” The Silver Level Sword Bearer remarked.

....

Suddenly, Rein accelerated his Fast Stepping Horned Horse, using ’Little Black’s’ Talent Ability ’Fast Stepping’.

One man and one horse, with a nimble posture like an arrow from a bowstring, ’whoosh’, charged straight at the reef!

”Clang!”

Quicker still was the dark long spear in Rein’s hand. The spear’s body of Hardened Essence Gold emitted a sharp whistle due to high-speed friction with the air, while the spear shot like a black lightning at the massive dark red reef!

”Boom!!!”

Where the riding spear and the reef collided, a circle of white airwave exploded, scattering some small stones around!

The dark long spear in Rein’s hand was nowhere to be seen!

The black spear had pierced into the hard red reef, leaving only part of the spear handle, and the reef had not shattered, but only a small tube-like hole was created.

The highly concentrated power and strong Penetration Power left everyone stunned!

”Damn! Such power, it’s outrageous! The entire three-meter spear went in?”

”If this hit a person, plate armor defense would be like thin paper!”

”So impressive!!”

”No wonder Lord Rein could kill that six-armed Naga, he’s truly powerful!”

...

Suddenly, everyone was talking!

Many, ignoring injuries, quickly ran forward to check behind the reef.

”Hiss! It really pierced through!”

”Oh my! The impact is too strong!”

Standing behind the reef, several people, including Angus and Viery, had their eyes wide and mouths agape in amazement.

Rein nodded slightly, satisfied with the power of his strike.

Though, he mused, the Basic Secret Technique ’Armor-Breaking Strike’ wouldn’t normally be so exaggerated, but with the addition of the inertia from ’Little Black’s’ Fast Stepping, the acceleration was all injected into the strike.

Thus, it resulted in an effect comparable to an Intermediate Secret Technique.

”It’s a pity, Blood Feather is still a little short, but in a while, it should be ready.”

”Compared to the Griffin Knights, by then I’ll be... a Hippogriff Knight!”

”Once dive attacks are unleashed... the power of Armor-Breaking Strike should get a more amazing boost.”

Thinking this, Rein’s mood improved.

”My methods against enemies have become more varied.”

”Next, I can focus all my energy on enhancing that last Extraordinary Battle Technique—’Rockdilo’s Guardian Staff’.”

Yet...

Rein glanced around, noticing everyone was almost adjusted, then said: ”Let’s return to Fishing Port Town and rest up.”

Soon, the group arrived at the Imperial Camp in the nearby Fishing Port Town.

As expected, Rein and others were warmly welcomed by an Imperial Vice Admiral in the camp.

At the welcome banquet, Rein also met old subordinate Conit.

”Did you say Vinica went to the South Sea Fleet?”

”When did this happen?”

”Just this morning, Miss Vinica seems to have written you a letter,” Conit recalled and said.

Rein nodded, the letter should be sent to Mingster.

”Do you know why?”

”Uh... It’s said that Miss Vinica’s mentor—Master Annius, the consultant of the South Sea Fleet, was severely injured and is dying.”

”I understand now.” Rein’s mood turned a bit heavy.

The aftermath of Dragon Knight Prince Meinya’s return to the Imperial City began to appear.

Moreover, it seems the Sea God Sect has launched an offensive.

”Lord Rein, long time no see.” The Griffin Squadron’s deputy leader, Viscount Philke, with golden hair, laughed and greeted.

”Viscount Philke, long time no see.” Rein raised his glass, smiled slightly, and said.

Just as Philke was about to say something to Rein, a Griffin Knight came quickly and said:

”Viscount, urgent news from Earl Habbs Mansion, asking us to increase patrol frequency, suspected enemies hidden in the County Town may attack at any time.”
