Chapter 853: Chapter 314: News (2-in-1 Chapter)_2

This scene made Rein feel a bit envious….

Although he was a Beast Priest, in terms of affinity with beasts, he couldn’t compare to Anna, the Druid.

The two of them tread completely different paths in taming beasts.

“Do you remember the diary where we found the Basic Meditation Method? It mentioned a mutation growth potion which I concocted and used on Qu Qi. Now it seems, the effect is quite good.”

“By the way, Anna, I also used this potion on the horses. Let me show you Little Black. I think you will really like it,” Rein said with a smile.

Facing Anna, Rein felt a special sense of calm inside.

“Sure. Little Black? Is that the name of a black horse?” Anna couldn’t help but chuckle.

As they talked, they soon arrived near the stables in the backyard.

Seeing the large build and forehead horn of the Fast Stepping Horned Horse, Anna’s beautiful eyes lit up with interest, and she quickly stepped forward, saying, “This isn’t Little Black, it’s clearly Big Black.”

Just as Rein was about to warn Anna that the Fast Stepping Horned Horse had a bad temperament, Anna’s fair hand extended, and Little Black voluntarily poked its head through the stable’s fence for her to touch.

This greatly surprised Rein.

But after a bit of thought, Rein understood that it was due to Anna’s Druid nature, which had a similar natural affinity effect.

“By the way, Anna, you mentioned last time that you had an important matter this time?” Rein suddenly remembered something and turned to ask.

“Yes.” Anna nodded.

Upon mentioning this topic, Anna’s smile faded, she slowly lowered her arm that had been stroking Little Black, frowned slightly, as if pondering how to speak.

After a while, Anna finally said, “In my aunt Delana’s study, I saw a secret letter.”

“It mentioned that my mother’s disappearance might be related to the Yakesen Auction House.”

“Hmm? Yakesen Auction House? Is this information accurate?” Rein raised his eyebrows, quite surprised.

He hadn’t expected that not only was Anna’s matter related to the Yakesen Auction House, but her mother’s disappearance was as well.

“It seems to be information from unique channels of the Elf Clan, I’m not entirely sure, but it should be true.” Anna nodded and continued, “Rein, do you know anything about the Yakesen Auction House?”

“Yes, it’s a giant entity. In every city in the Empire that’s slightly larger, they have a branch or an outpost,” Rein nodded and said.

“So… does that mean there’s no way I can do this alone…” Anna’s beautiful eyes dimmed slightly.

“Not really, first of all, you’re not alone.” Rein looked into Anna’s eyes, speaking earnestly.

This made Anna blush slightly.

“Additionally, although the Yakesen Auction House is a giant entity with complex interests, internally it’s divided into multiple interest groups according to shareholders.”

“Therefore, as long as we pinpoint which shareholder is involved in this matter, the subsequent handling will be much easier.”

“…”

Rein then briefly explained what he knew about the Yakesen Auction House to Anna.

“Huh? So does that mean you’re a shareholder of the Yakesen Auction House now?” Anna fluttered her eyes, looking at Rein in shock.

Anna never expected that Rein had become a shareholder of the Yakesen Auction House, even if it was only the Munster Branch.

“Isn’t this a good thing? You can see me as your inside man within the Yakesen Auction House,” Rein chuckled and said.

“However… investigating your mother’s matter might require some time.” Rein’s smile faded, and he spoke seriously.

Because Jennifer just became a shareholder of the Munster Branch, cultivating personnel and influence requires some time.

Moreover, Rein guessed that if Anna’s mother’s disappearance were truly related to the Yakesen Auction House, she was likely sent to the Imperial City.

So, investigating this matter would take even longer.

“Yes, my mother has been missing for over two years. I was anxious for a while before, but now, I just hope she’s safe.”

“Of course, if we could find out where she is, that would be even better.”

Anna nodded, showing no significant emotional fluctuations.

“Rest assured! If it truly is related to the Yakesen Auction House, your mother would actually not be in danger.”

This wasn’t just Rein comforting Anna.

If this matter were related to the Yakesen Auction House, Rein believed, in all likelihood, it involved the various Slave Capturing Teams or similar groups under them.

The other party would certainly have captured Anna’s mother—a rare pure-blooded Elf female—to sell at a good price.

And only the Empire’s wealthy merchants or great nobles could afford this price.

In other words, although Anna’s mother lost her freedom, she most likely wouldn’t be in life-threatening danger.

At this time, as the two of them strolled, they slowly walked to a corner of the new mansion’s backyard.

The previous owner had planted seven or eight beech trees there, which had grown quite tall and lush.

Moonlight spilled through the mottled shadows of the trees, illuminating the outline of Anna’s delicate figure.

By now, Anna was no longer the same as when Rein first met her, with a thin frame. Instead, she now had the undulating curves of a female body.

Although not as full and delicate as the beautiful Jennifer, it was just right.
