Chapter 743: Chapter 286: Impact Diffusion (Two-in-One Large Chapter)_4

Last night there must have been a light rain, for at the moment, the leaves were still dripping wet, with water droplets hanging from the tips, reflecting a faint golden mist under the morning light.

Rein thought about it and once again came to the training room, originally wanting to test the effects of the Advanced Steel Body last night.

But this idea was interrupted by the sudden appearance of Cleya.

As for the Fire Gekko Breathing Technique, he planned to study it carefully later on.

So, without eating breakfast, Rein came to the training room alone.

With the Metal Morphing Spell, the Hardened Essence Gold in his hand quickly transformed into a Dual-Handed Greatsword, and at the same time, the broad blade’s surface started projecting numerous four-pointed darts.

“Sword Blade Storm!”

In an instant, Rein holding the Dual-Handed Greatsword spun like a top, a powerful whirlwind sweeping around, while each of the four-pointed darts also rotated at high speed, accompanied by a strong airflow, impacting in all directions!

“Ting! Ting! Tang! Tang! Tang!”

If one listened closely, they could find that the metallic clashing sound was much denser than when Rein used to perform the Sword Blade Storm.

The reason was, previously Rein could only produce seventy to eighty of the four-pointed darts in a short time, and wanting more would take extra time, leading to a noticeable pause in the technique.

This was quite fatal in battle.

Now, as Rein’s affinity with metal elements improved, he could generate about one hundred and twenty of these darts in the same amount of time, piled on the Dual-Handed Greatsword.

Once the dust had settled, Rein stepped forward to inspect.

Indeed, this time, he found that the ironwood dummies about thirty meters away bore twelve or thirteen darts at most, and six or seven at the least.

From this perspective, his Advanced Secret Skill ‘Sword Blade Storm – Modified,’ was also a beneficiary of the ‘Advanced Steel Body’ talent.

The power had increased by approximately twenty to thirty percent.

“The thing is… it consumes more Hardened Essence Gold!”

“Looks like at most I can perform it three times, any more than that, and there might not be enough Hardened Essence Gold,” Rein suddenly thought of a problem and couldn’t help but look slightly troubled.

After considering, Rein couldn’t come up with any particular good way to compensate for this drawback at the moment.

“However, in a battle, it’s quite unlikely to encounter a situation where ‘Sword Blade Storm’ needs to be used consecutively three times, right?”

Besides, for the talent ‘Advanced Steel Body,’ its main purpose is naturally defense.

Suddenly, Rein formed a Dagger with Transformation Magic, and with fifty percent of his strength sliced at his arm, where a faint silver-gray halo flashed over the skin’s surface, leaving not even a white mark.

This immediately delighted Rein.

“This level of defensive power seems to be much stronger than the original Intermediate Steel Body.”

Next, Rein kept increasing the strength with which he pulled the Dagger across his skin.

Finally, even at full strength, it only left a white scratch on the skin without breaking through.

This surprise and joy mingled in Rein’s heart.

After pondering, Rein applied the Sharpness Technique to the Dagger and once again gradually increased the force of the slicing.

This time, with the Sharpness Technique and seventy percent strength, the Hardened Essence Gold Dagger just barely broke the skin.

“It seems, if measured in ‘degrees,’ my ‘Advanced Steel Body’ defensive power is roughly between 15 and 20 degrees. The specifics still have to be tested back at the Sword Bearers Branch to know for sure.”

“However… generally speaking, a regular Great Knight, even when breaking limits, would probably have a hard time injuring me.”

“I just wonder whether the defensive power would change when facing witchcraft attacks?”

“If it can defend against energy attacks with the current strength, then I can basically ignore entry-level attacking witchcraft.”

Thinking this, Rein’s eyes shone slightly!

After testing out the impact of the talent ‘Advanced Steel Body’ on his combat abilities, Rein returned to his room.

After resting for a while, he opened the sheepskin scroll given to him by Cleya last night, which contained the ‘Fire Gekko Breathing Technique.’
