Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Chapter 182: Chapter 147: The Terrifying Bahamut

The risks were extremely high!

Finally, besides the extremely high risks, a normal Transformation Spell would result in a form one Tier lower than the caster’s own. Only a handful of geniuses could cultivate their transformation to match their own Tier.

But someone like Bahamut could transform into a form one Tier *higher* than himself—and a High Level like Tier Five at that!

One could only imagine how difficult that was...

A Tier Five Giant Dragon...

You have to understand, Giant Dragons have Casting Abilities. What was the difference between that and a Tier Five Dragon Mage?

Looking at Bahamut, who sat subtly at the center of the group, Isaac couldn’t help but straighten his posture. ’This man is a true titan!’

”Don’t be so nervous. Today, you are the teacher to all of us.” Bahamut noticed Isaac’s tension and made a small joke to ease the atmosphere. Then, he said with a smile, ”Alright, the floor is yours. Tell us about your thoughts and the steps you took when you created the Dragon Transformation Secret Medicine.”

After speaking, Bahamut waved his right hand gently, and two bottles of Magic Potions flew into the center of the group. A special spell within the room allowed everyone to understand that one potion was made by Isaac, and the other by Bahamut.

’They seem...’

’...a little different?’

Curiosity showed on everyone’s faces as they turned to Isaac. Aside from the three Grand Wizards, the other High-level Mages had already grasped the principles behind the Dragon Transformation Secret Medicine when they received it and its formula. Most had even spotted some flaws and could see ways to optimize it using their own knowledge.

But that approach was wrong.

Only Arcanists could perform direct optimizations like that. All of their Magic, experiments, and Creations adhered to a unified set of standards. Under this unified system, any Arcanist could optimize and improve existing technology.

Legendary Mages, however, were different. They had no unified standards. Their experiments often involved many hidden factors called ”Concepts.” Therefore, to optimize something, one had to first fully understand the entire process of its creation from scratch.

This was why different Legendary Mages could master the same Witchcraft in completely different ways.

So, if they wanted to correctly optimize the Dragon Blood Secret Medicine according to their own ideas, they needed to know the entire process Isaac went through to research it.

This was also why most forms of Witchcraft came with a thick book of experiment notes. Otherwise, forget optimization—what you learned probably wouldn’t even be the original version!

In this regard, Arcanists had it much more convenient than Legendary Mages.

But this was normal. After all, weren’t Arcanists said to be a product of the new era?

In truth, this step didn’t necessarily require Isaac to explain it in person; his experiment notes would have sufficed. However, the Dragon Transformation Secret Medicine was simply too important for the research on Dragon Blood Purification, so they obviously wanted the most effective method.

At the same time, the advice they could offer from their high-level, comprehensive perspectives would also be of great benefit to Isaac. It was a win-win situation.

And so, for the next while, Isaac gave everyone a detailed explanation of the entire experimental process and his thoughts at each stage.

Isaac’s explanation went smoothly, as he had prepared a script before coming.

After listening, everyone nodded thoughtfully. It was mostly what they had expected, although a few steps in his process seemed a bit abrupt, with some information clearly and deliberately omitted by Isaac.

But they could generally guess what was missing. It was either the methods of an Outer God or his own special techniques. The former involved Outer Gods and was considered Forbidden Knowledge, which could not be spread freely. That stuff was illegal, a violation of the Truth Association’s laws.

As for the latter...

While not necessarily illegal, it was obvious Isaac would never speak of it. These were the special methods of a Mad Witch. If that stuff ever leaked and an Outer God found out, he would be finished!

Therefore, everyone tacitly agreed not to press for details. In any case, the information they now had was more than enough for them to validate their own ideas.

First, they confirmed one thing: the development process of the Dragon Blood Secret Medicine did indeed focus more on the extraction of ”Concept,” which was very much in the style of a Mad Witch.

A Mad Witch dealt with all sorts of Evil God Ceremonies on a daily basis, and their understanding of ”Concept” far surpassed that of an Ordinary Wizard. This was also why the Dragon Blood Secret Medicine was so difficult to actually concoct.

In his understanding and application of ”Concept,” Isaac had undoubtedly reached the level of a High-level Mage. He just wasn’t aware of it himself, and he had documented the entire concoction process according to that standard.

But Ordinary Official Wizards and Grand Wizards simply didn’t have that ability, which was why no one had succeeded even when following his formula to the letter.

’So that’s how it is...’ After listening to everyone’s explanations, chiming in one after another, Isaac finally understood. ’It’s not that I was wrong, it’s that everyone else is too weak...’

’But... is my understanding of ”Concept” really that deep?’

This was the disadvantage of being a Wild Mage. Lacking systematic training, they often severely misjudged their own skill level in certain areas.

Of course, this misjudgment was usually an underestimation. After all, research was like a math problem—if you don’t know how to do it, you just don’t.

’So... how can it be optimized?’

Isaac didn’t ask this question out loud, because as soon as the issue with his Dragon Transformation Secret Medicine formula was explained, the others began to voice their own opinions and propose optimization plans from their unique perspectives without him needing to ask.

The first to speak was an elderly female Wizard, or rather, a Witch. Her skin was wrinkled like tree bark, and she spoke in a gloomy, sinister tone. Although the information provided about her didn’t specify, Isaac understood from his own limited knowledge that this appearance was intentional.

Like the Slave Trader Remi, she used deliberate actions and attire to deepen the impression she made on others, which was very beneficial for a Legendary Mage.

Isaac, however, didn’t need to go to such trouble. His image was that of a Mad Witch; he only needed to exchange ideas with others normally for the effect to be outstanding.

This was true talent!

The Witch’s name was a complete mismatch with her image: Lilith Estia, a name brimming with a young girl’s charm. ’Then again, perhaps it’s precisely because of her name that she needs to design such an image?’

Isaac didn’t dwell on the specific reason, as his attention was already completely immersed in the optimization theories Lilith was proposing.

Lilith was a High-level Mage who specialized in brewing Magic Potions, and she was the only one present who could perfectly replicate the exact same Dragon Blood Secret Medicine that Isaac had created!

Not even Bahamut, the Tier Four Miracle Mage, could do that!

The reason she could do this was that a Master of Magic Potions among Legendary Mages was also a master at manipulating ”Concept.” Naturally, the optimization plan she proposed was also the most helpful to Isaac.

She proposed three directions for optimization. The first was to continue strengthening the ”Dragon Concept” within the Dragon Blood Secret Medicine to enhance its effects. While not aiming for a direct transformation into a Tier Three Pure-blooded Giant Dragon, it should at least enable Half-Dragon Transformation!

Half-Dragon Transformation was an ability one could only possess after their Dragon Blood purity and concentration reached a certain level. Upon use, partial features of a Giant Dragon would appear, and both Magic Power and physical attributes would be massively enhanced. At the same time, one would gain a preliminary ability to dominate Dragon Blood Demons!

Isaac’s current Dragon Transformation Secret Medicine could only guarantee the purity of the Dragon Blood; the concentration was still severely lacking. It would still take a considerable amount of arduous training to awaken the Half-Dragon Transformation ability.

Beyond Half-Dragon Transformation, there were two more stages: Dragon Transformation and Dragon. Dragon Transformation allowed one to change into the complete form of a Giant Dragon, but for a limited time. With a further increase in bloodline concentration, one would reach the final stage, Dragon, and completely become a Pure-blooded Giant Dragon!

Transforming into a Pure-blooded Giant Dragon would no longer have any restrictions!

The trade-off, however, was that maintaining a human form would become quite difficult.

But generally, no Giant Dragon would bother to do so anyway.

’As for this optimization plan...’

To be honest, it wasn’t much help to Isaac. It wasn’t that he couldn’t think of strengthening the ”Dragon Concept”—it was that he had no money!

This step required at least three liters of a Pure-blooded Giant Dragon’s heart blood!

When he was researching the Dragon Transformation Secret Medicine, Isaac was dirt poor. Forget three liters; back then, he didn’t have a single drop of a Pure-blooded Giant Dragon’s heart blood...
