Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Chapter 152: Chapter 130: The Extravagant Dragon Blood Purification Project Team (Part 2)

This was good news. A larger body meant it could store more Magic Power. Although the quality of the Magic Power wouldn’t change, it would improve its endurance. Plus, it had excellent synergy with his one and only Talent Spell.

Of course, most importantly, the bigger the White Whale, the more it could eat!

The more it ate, the more nutrients it could provide for the Dimension!

This was the true value of Isaac nurturing this White Whale Avatar!

Unfortunately, Isaac hadn’t felt any effects over the past two days. He wasn’t sure if it was because the avatar was using the energy to advance or if it simply wasn’t providing enough nutrients yet. The exact reason would require further research on his part.

Overall, the trip south had been a great success!

After settling the White Whale, Isaac’s final task was complete, and he could officially set off for home.

It was a shame that Avin had already left East Port with Sylvie; otherwise, he really would have liked to say goodbye before he left.

While Avin’s Magic Book hadn’t fully revealed how to use Evil God Ceremonies for advancement, the vast amount of related knowledge it contained was still an enormous boon.

The most direct benefit was that he now had the ability to start making drastic modifications to the Evil God Ceremonies!

It was no longer the low-level modification of simply swapping materials, but the ability to completely adjust the types and quantities of ritual components!

This step was crucial because it meant he no longer had to go around collecting different Evil God Ceremonies from the same Evil God.

He could simply modify a previously used Evil God Ceremony, potentially altering it into a new, reusable one!

In other words, he could now grab hold of a single Evil God and fleece it for all it was worth!

Fleece it completely bald!

Of course, under normal circumstances, Isaac wouldn’t do so. The cost-to-benefit ratio was too low. He would have to fleece it intermittently. ’It’s best to run some desensitization trials first, then go all in!’

...

A few days later, Isaac returned to his territory. Before he could even rest, he received an invitation—an invitation from his older sister.

It was an invitation to her promotion banquet, to be held in one month’s time.

Yes, at the same time as Isaac’s promotion, Cheryl had also finally completed the construction of her Great Arcane Art, successfully becoming a Grand Arcanist!

A Grand Arcanist under the age of forty!

A Grand Arcanist from an Earl Clan!

Either accomplishment was worthy of a grand celebration, to say nothing of them happening together.

That’s why so many people were invited to the banquet.

So...

’I’ll have to prepare a really good gift,’ Isaac mused, stroking his chin.

’Buying something directly is definitely not appropriate. I can’t afford anything that would be useful to a Grand Arcanist, and my sister doesn’t lack for anything else. So, it has to come down to the thought behind it, which means... I have to make it myself...’

’An Authority from an Evil God?’

’Hmm, probably not. That wouldn’t be a surprise, it would be a scare...’

’Other people aren’t as accepting of Evil God Power as I am...’

’Well, I’ll think about it some more. It’s a month away, so there’s plenty of time to prepare.’

Setting the invitation aside, Isaac was about to check on the changes in his territory over the past few days—mainly the Demon Rat breeding, the Dragon Lizards... hmm, Dragons?

Isaac paused, then stroked his chin and nodded. He had a pretty good idea of what to give her now. A bottle of Dragon Transformation Secret Medicine. Nothing could be more fitting. Even a Grand Arcanist would absolutely want a Giant Dragon Servant Demon!

’But that’s not urgent. I have a lot to do right now. I’ll finish the tasks at hand first.’

The Demon Rat situation was normal. The only downside was that without Liu Li, it was proving difficult for Saint Master and Smith to get the trade of Demon Rat materials up and running properly.

But that was the only issue. Everything else was going well. Both Smith and Saint Master were in exceptionally good condition.

Smith had now preliminarily stabilized his new power. Although he was still somewhat lethargic, it no longer affected his daily life. Saint Master, on the other hand, was doing even better. He had completely familiarized himself with his own power and could begin learning Secret Techniques.

Everything was proceeding as smoothly as he had anticipated.

It was just...

’These things all have to wait in line.’

’Sometimes, it’s a problem when things go too smoothly. There’s just not enough time to schedule everything. It’s really...’

’A good problem to have.’

The corners of Isaac’s mouth lifted slightly. He put down the file in his hands and turned toward the laboratory. Prioritizing his tasks, he decided he first needed to make a trip to the Flesh Sect’s Sect Dimension headquarters.

Just as he had previously guessed, after the Dragon Transformation Secret Medicine was submitted and reviewed, it was confirmed that a single Magic Potion still couldn’t complete the transformation of an ordinary Dragon Blood Demon into a Giant Dragon. However, the power within the Secret Medicine that led directly to the Giant Dragon Bloodline still sent a jolt of excitement through the High-level Mages on the project team.

Finding the right path, for their current project, could be said to be half the battle!

The random evolutionary paths of Dragon Blood had always been a vexing problem for them. Now that an Official Wizard had solved it with a single Magic Potion, who else would they ask to join the team if not him?

Those useless hacks just collecting a paycheck?

The only drawback was that the success rate of the Dragon Transformation Secret Medicine seemed to be lower than Isaac had claimed. They had tried brewing it many times according to the formula, but only High-level Mages could achieve the success rate Isaac had mentioned. The vast majority of Grand Wizards couldn’t even brew the Dragon Transformation Secret Medicine independently!

But this was a minor issue. Since the High-level Mages had successfully replicated it, it proved the path was correct. All that was left was to continue perfecting it.

Therefore, they had immediately contacted Isaac—who was still in East Port—through his Magic Book. Without even asking if he had been promoted, they decided to make him an official research member of the project team.

An opportunity to work alongside High-level Mages was, of course, incredibly precious. That was why, after hastily handling matters in his territory upon his return, Isaac had headed directly to the Sect Dimension. ℯ

That was one aspect of it. On the other hand, Isaac was also very interested in the problems with the Dragon Transformation Secret Medicine.

Although almost all the techniques Isaac researched with his Golden Finger had this problem, it wasn’t unsolvable; the effects would just be a bit weaker.

Isaac was now quite skilled at handling this kind of technical optimization. Logically speaking, even if there was some margin for error, it shouldn’t have been this large. To actually require a High-level Mage to craft it...

This was all rather uncanny.

Passing through the rift, Isaac once again arrived in the Flesh Sect’s Dimension. This time, however, he didn’t appear in the Teleportation Plaza but directly on a floating platform high above an island in the sea.

This was Dragon Island.

Of course, this wasn’t the Dragon Island of Legend that was said to be the birthplace of all Giant Dragons, but one built by the project team. The inhabitants were all ordinary Dragon Blood Demons. Although there were three genuine Giant Dragons, they weren’t test subjects for the project, but collaborators.

After all, while the Flesh Sect’s motives for this Dragon Blood Purification experiment weren’t exactly noble, it had to be said that if the experiment were completed, the benefits for the Giant Dragon race would be absolutely immense!

Looking at the various Dragon Blood Demons on the island below, Isaac’s eyes lit up with excitement. ’Dragon Blood can be awakened like this?’

Among the Dragon Blood Demons on Dragon Island below, the methods for awakening Dragon Blood were diverse: limb transplantation, mating, bodily fluid exchange, and even... what the hell, acupuncture?

Seeing the Dragon Blood Demon below covered in silver needles, Isaac was a bit dazed. ’Could it be... there’s someone else from back home?’

Of course, Isaac knew this was just a misconception. It wasn’t acupuncture—at least, not the acupuncture he knew. After all, what kind of acupuncture leaves the subject covered in blood?

What he saw and heard on Dragon Island made him even more expectant. If just a casual glance could flood his mind with so much inspiration, what would happen once he officially joined?

While Isaac was observing the Demons below, the floating platform under his feet was also moving slowly. A moment later, it carried him to a massive platform.

Staring at the massive platform that had suddenly appeared before him, Isaac froze. He glanced at Dragon Island, then back at the platform, and his eyes suddenly widened. ’This f*cking thing looks like... a Floating City?’

’Holy shit! They’re using a Floating City as a laboratory?!’
