Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Chapter 162: Chapter 137: Tsk Tsk Tsk Tsk~~~

”My newly developed Dragon Transformation Secret Medicine.” Isaac was much calmer than Caesar and Cheryl. For one, he had a clear conscience. For another, due to his poor health, Gaia had always doted on him since he was a child. Naturally, he had little fear of his father. After speaking, he pulled the gold-and-red Dragon Transformation Secret Medicine from his sleeve and handed it to Cheryl.

”This is it. After taking it, one gains the bloodline of a Pure-blooded Giant Dragon, although only a portion of it. To transform into a true Pure-blooded Giant Dragon, a massive investment of resources is still required. But even so, it’s an exceptional creation. Thanks to this, I’ve officially joined the Flesh Sect’s Dragon Blood Purification Research Team. Don’t worry. Aside from no longer being human, this Secret Medicine has no side effects. It’s perfect.”

Looking at his dumbfounded father, Isaac shrugged and added, ”Of course, Smith took the medicine voluntarily.”

Hearing this, Gaia’s dumbfounded expression eased slightly. He didn’t understand how impressive the long explanation before was, but he understood that last sentence. He turned to Smith. He didn’t speak, but his right index finger tapped lightly on the tabletop.

This was a secret signal he and Smith had agreed upon when they were younger. Only the two of them knew it. He needed to use it to confirm if Smith still possessed his self-awareness.

”Thank you for your concern, my Lord. But taking the Dragon Transformation Secret Medicine was indeed my own idea. I want the power to continue protecting Young Master Isaac!” Smith bowed and explained to Gaia.

At these words, the coldness in Gaia’s eyes finally dissipated, and Caesar, at his side, also breathed a sigh of relief.

”This Dragon Transformation Secret Medicine... is it very powerful?” Only then did Gaia turn to Cheryl, who was carefully examining the gold-and-red Magic Potion.

In earlier years, to cultivate Cheryl’s talent, Gaia had crammed a lot of knowledge about the Wizarding World. However, the Flesh Sect was an ancient and Mysterious Sect, so even Gaia only knew that such a massive Wizard Organization existed. He had no concrete concept of its research teams or anything of the sort.

The same was true for Caesar. Although he had female confidantes in many Wizard Organizations, he himself had never deeply studied their structures. For this kind of knowledge, they both needed Cheryl to explain.

But Cheryl didn’t rush to answer their questions. Instead, she continued to earnestly examine the Magic Potion in her hand.

However, even though she said nothing, her posture alone spoke volumes. Cheryl was a Grand Arcanist now; there were very few things that could make her treat them so seriously.

After a long moment, Cheryl let out a long breath and put down the Magic Potion.

’I don’t understand it...’

This was normal. Although she could also concoct Magic Potions, her skill was limited to following a formula, just like most Wizards who didn’t specialize in potions.

Developing a new Magic Potion from scratch, or analyzing the technical principles or formula of a new one...

Forget her, a mere Tier Three Grand Arcanist; even a Tier Four Grand Arcanist might not be able to figure it out, especially a Magic Potion from a Legendary Mage.

But even though she couldn’t understand the technical principles, it didn’t stop her from knowing how powerful this Magic Potion was!

A major challenge in the purification of a Giant Dragon’s bloodline is the inability to control its direction. In many cases, the process veers off course from that of a Pure-blooded Giant Dragon, at which point further purification becomes impossible!

But Isaac’s Magic Potion directly solved this problem. Although it couldn’t turn someone into a Pure-blooded Giant Dragon outright, it had found the one correct possibility among countless others and locked it in!

Therefore, Cheryl looked at Isaac with some emotion and said, ”Little brother, it’s truly a pity you didn’t become an Arcanist~”

This wasn’t the first time Cheryl had felt this way, but her mood was different each time, as were Isaac’s achievements.

Unfortunately, to become an Arcanist, one needed an innate talent for Magic Power, and Isaac didn’t have that gift!

”It’s fine. A Legendary Mage isn’t so bad either, right?” Isaac said with a grin.

’With my cheat, it doesn’t matter what I become anyway.’

His Golden Finger did seem particularly well-suited for a Mad Witch at the moment, but that was because he had chosen to be a Mad Witch. If he were an Arcanist, his Golden Finger would naturally have uses for an Arcanist as well.

It was true that his Golden Finger was a huge factor in Isaac’s success today, but his own efforts were also indispensable!

Cheryl shook her head, not arguing these points with Isaac. If he were just an ordinary Legendary Mage, she would naturally be happy. Not just her—their father would be happy too. Although the family’s resources had been nearly exhausted to cultivate her, there was still a little left if they squeezed.

Combined with her own new income, supporting his Magic research wouldn’t have been a big problem.

But Isaac was a Mad Witch...

And one of the oldest, most insane kind of Mad Witch!

For the future of the domain, they had to draw a clear line with Isaac. It was still manageable now, but once Isaac advanced to High-level Mage, the domain and he would truly have no connection whatsoever!

’It’s too early to talk about this,’ Cheryl thought, shaking her head internally. Even for someone like Isaac, advancing to High-level Mage would take a very long time. Just finding the location for each promotion ritual would be difficult enough. It wasn’t like becoming an Official Wizard, where you could prepare everything yourself without leaving home.

Therefore, Cheryl didn’t dwell on the matter. Instead, she turned to her father and Caesar to explain the power of the Dragon Transformation Secret Medicine and the importance of a research team within the Flesh Sect.

After Cheryl’s explanation, the way Gaia and Caesar looked at Isaac changed slightly. Gaia’s eyes were filled with surprise and regret. Surprise, because he never expected that his youngest son, who had once worried him the most, would now possess such great ability.

And the regret stemmed from this as well. Although Isaac’s ability was great, he was a Mad Witch. And a Mad Witch...

...was an unstable time bomb that absolutely could not be allowed to remain in the domain. As the Lord, he had to be responsible for his people!

Compared to his father, Gaia, however, Caesar’s gaze was much purer. His eyes held only gratification. His little brother had made something of himself, and that was more important than anything.

Gaia glanced at the demons and monsters behind Isaac, sighed, and waved his hand listlessly, dismissing them. He really didn’t know what to say.

Isaac shrugged, not surprised by this. However, when his big sister handed the Dragon Transformation Secret Medicine back, Isaac waved it away, saying with a smile, ”Big Sis, you should keep it. This bottle of Magic Potion is also my gift to you, to celebrate your promotion to Grand Arcanist.”

Cheryl was slightly taken aback, then she smiled and, clutching the Dragon Transformation Secret Medicine, said, ”In that case, I’ll accept it.”

A Giant Dragon Servant Demon was valuable even to a Grand Arcanist. Even if it required a considerable amount of resources to cultivate, it was worth it. This was an investment that was guaranteed not to be a loss.

This was especially true for a Grand Arcanist like her, who was deeply connected to the domain. After all, a Giant Dragon’s lifespan was very, very long. It could serve as the domain’s Guardian God for a long time.

In the future, if she no longer wished to stay in the domain, she could have the Giant Dragon Servant Demon guard it in her stead. It would be no problem for it to last for three to five generations.

After Cheryl accepted the Secret Medicine, Isaac led his people out of the room, leaving the space to the three of them.

This was the way of the Solomon family. No matter why they were gathered, as long as the key figures were together, they would always move on to discuss the domain’s political affairs after everything else was said.

There was always an endless amount of such work. Now, with the family’s promotion in nobility and Cheryl’s promotion happening at the same time, there were naturally even more matters to attend to.

Therefore, after Isaac left the room, the three of them immediately began discussing political matters one by one, continuing until dusk!

But none of this had anything to do with Isaac. After leading Smith and the others out of the Lord’s Mansion, he took them to the rear courtyard. He had Smith take the others to find lodging, while he himself went to a small garden.

In the garden, two boys, about three or four years old, were each holding a straight wooden stick, playing a game of Knights. To the side, a buxom young woman and a maid were watching them with gentle expressions.

Walking into the garden and seeing the two boys playing, a smile appeared on Isaac’s face. He immediately squatted down and held out a hand toward them.

”Tsk tsk tsk tsk~~~”
