Chapter 2470: Chapter 2471: Spirit of Disorder

The transmutation of Number 03 was witnessed by everyone.

The physical body shattered, the spirit vanished, and now it was the turn of the soul.

However, her soul underwent a transformation that exceeded everyone’s expectations. Instead of shattering instantly, it fused with that Mysterious Fruit.

In the eyes of the onlookers—

The Mysterious Fruit, shrouded in a blood-red mist, suddenly dropped from the ”branch,” just landing on the top of Number 03’s soul. Instead of bouncing off, it drilled into Number 03’s soul body, finally settling in her chest, transforming into a glowing red orb.

Behind the red glow, a metallic structure was clearly visible.

As if it were an artificial heart installed within her soul body.

Once the Mysterious Fruit merged into Number 03’s soul, her eyes, once clear, began to turn white and vacant, her consciousness completely deprived.

With the disappearance of consciousness, the Mysterious Fruit started to emit a faint red mist from the center of Number 03’s soul body, radiating outward from the chest.

Before long, the red mist had spread over Number 03’s chest and abdomen.

Then it crept upward along the neck, dyeing her head, facial features, and the hair simulated by soul power red.

At a glance, it resembled the blood demon of the Abyss.

The red mist did not cease, continuing to spread, as if intending to enshroud the entirety of Number 03’s soul body in its aura.

”Zhuro, Lord of the City, what is going on?” Polo Ye gazed at the soul body becoming increasingly ”red” in the distance, a puzzled expression on his face: ”Why has only her soul not shattered and absorbed?”

The youthful City Lord, transformed into a Fire Luo person, did not answer Polo Ye’s question. Instead, he quietly observed the distant changes, squinting his eyes. From the fleeting glance, it seemed he had recalled something.

Seeing no answer from the Lord of the City, Polo Ye turned his gaze towards the Observer.

The Observer pondered for a moment, then shook his head: ”I am unsure, I’ve never seen a similar situation.”

The birth of a Spirit of Disorder was rarely witnessed even by the Observer, let alone the Orderly Guild. Moreover, even if someone had witnessed it, they might not discern much, as each Spirit of Disorder was unique, with this being the first time it occurred through the sacrifice of life forms, energy, and matter resulting in disorder.

The Observer: ”However, I feel her soul body, as the red mist spreads, seems to resonate faintly with that Mysterious Fruit.”

This means her soul at this moment, like the Mysterious Fruit, started to emit a strong Mysterious Power and also generated effects of ”attraction” and ”pull.”

As if she too had transformed into a Spirit of Disorder.

Or perhaps, she had already become a part of the Spirit of Disorder.

While the Observer spoke, Angel, behind him, was observing the constantly transforming soul, a figure emerging in his mind—

This was a dark soul three meters tall, with large bull horns on its head, possessing a voluptuous, fiery figure with raven-black wings, holding a black trident.

This dark soul had appeared in the final phase when Angel, at the Black Castle, inadvertently triggered a mysterious alchemical process.

This soul emitted intense Mysterious Power.

Back then, Angel might not have understood what this dark soul was, but he inexplicably realized that if this soul merged with the revolver he had refined, the revolver would inevitably become a Mysterious Object. This dark soul was the key to his stepping into the realm of the mysterious.

However, the end result was that only half of the dark soul merged into the revolver, forming what is now the Samsara Overture. The other half was taken by Isabel, stabilizing her soul avatar.

Regardless of past outcomes, the reason the image of that strange soul surfaced in Angel’s mind was that he vaguely felt that Number 03 in the distance seemed to be going through this same step.

However, what had once been that strange soul could be called a Mysterious Spirit.

Whereas Number 03’s current situation might be best described as—Spirit of Disorder.

According to past experiences, once the Spirit of Disorder takes shape and then merges into the Mysterious Fruit, that might be the moment a Spirit of Disorder is born.

By then, the scene there would certainly be filled with an explosion of wondrous information. However, Angel, having already been mentally exhausted from observing mysterious structures before, figured the disorderly information would be even more maddening, making it fundamentally impossible for him to visualize in his current state, forcing him to regretfully abandon the thought.

As Angel delved into his reverie, in the distance, Number 03’s hands had already been covered by the blood-red mist.

Now, only the legs below the waist remained in a semi-transparent soul body state.

Even so, Number 03’s soul had already emanated an unprecedentedly vast mysterious aura. Even if not in the Mist Belt, this explosive mysterious aura could be sensed in further sea regions.

By this time, even without Angel’s explanation, others understood that the moment the red mist enveloped Number 03’s entire soul body would be the end.

”When she fully becomes a blood-red soul, the Spirit of Disorder will be born,” the Observer stated, his voice soft yet assured.

”The legs have started, it seems we won’t have to wait long. Zhuro~”

While Gluz Deward remained silent, his gaze subtly fell on the two protective covers above Number 03’s soul body. Once the blood-red soul was born, he would promptly pierce the gaseous barrier and acquire firsthand information about this Spirit of Disorder.

All eyes were fixed on Number 03’s soul, silently awaiting the final moment’s arrival.

Unnoticed by them, Angel quietly shifted his gaze to the Void Traveler Wang Wang and the Dalmatian within it.

He first signaled Wang Wang with his eyes, indicating he wanted to ask if it was prepared for anything.

However, since Wang Wang was no Toby, the rapport with Angel was nonexistent. It had no idea what Angel intended, merely twitching slightly to express a faint sense of presence.

Angel:... So your twitching was a polite acknowledgment of my gaze?

Unable to rely on Wang Wang, Angel then looked at the Dalmatian.

This Dalmatian could be a headache for him. But, he had to admit, the Dalmatian seemed to understand him well. For instance, at the Duling Garden banquet, when Angel was fretting over how to ward off the terrifying aura of those creatures, the Dalmatian directly created a forcefield, enveloping itself and Angel, allowing Angel to maintain his aloof image at the banquet.

In any event, at that banquet, Angel felt a certain harmony with the Dalmatian.

After this internal reassurance, Angel looked towards the Dalmatian with a gaze of ”I resonate with you.”

However, the Dalmatian’s response was to... bubble up a series of water bubbles, then roll its eyes and pretend to drown.

Taking a deep breath, Angel managed to quell his inner frustration.

Turning back to glance at the Observer and others, seeing their full attention on Number 03 in the distance, Angel considered for a moment, then pinched the Heideland dangling by his ear, pushing it towards his brow without waiting for a reaction.

The intelligence of Heideland might be low, but once it contacted Angel’s brow, it understood Angel’s intention, silently extending a tentacle, entering Angel’s brow.

Void network, connection successful!

This means Angel can now communicate with Wang Wang and the Dalmatian.

Actually, Wang Wang can speak, but this moment clearly isn’t the right time for it to speak. If it doesn’t speak, it’s just a somewhat chubby Void Traveler; once it speaks, it definitely would catch Gluz Deward’s interest, complicating matters.

So, Angel chose the void network. Although this action is also quite risky, there’s no choice—he needs to know their plan.

”Wang Wang, which step has your plan reached now, and what do you intend to do next?”

Wang Wang: ”Plan? What plan?”

Angel: ”...Aren’t you planning to capture someone as a threat?”

Wang Wang: ”Yes, but I leave that to the master.”

The master Wang Wang refers to is the Dalmatian performing its drowning act inside it.

Angel also suspected the Dalmatian might be powerful, but could it be so powerful as to forcibly seize Gluz Deward’s avatar’s divine thought?

Previously, Angel had only heard of the power of a legendary wizard but hadn’t experienced it, and just now, when Gluz Deward used the Vapor Wall, it left Angel deeply shaken. It was a power that couldn’t be described with words, a power that could be called ”mighty.” When faced with such might, Angel simply couldn’t imagine what the tiny body of the Dalmatian could do to him.

Perhaps, he should suggest a temporary change of plan. Polo Ye could also serve as a good threat target?

Since Gluz Deward dotes on Polo Ye so much, maybe capturing it could also achieve Wang Wang’s goal?

Angel attempted to suggest this.

And Wang Wang’s reply was: ”I don’t know, how about I let the master speak to you?”

Having said this, Wang Wang switched the conversation channel to one between Angel and the Dalmatian.

Angel once again expressed his view.

Angel: ”Shouldn’t we...”

Dalmatian: ”...Glug glug glug...”

Angel: ”Actually, I think...”

Dalmatian: ”...Wang Wang, glug... Wang Wang...”

Angel clenched his fist, can this conversation even continue?

Angel felt exhausted from it all, letting it go its own way. Whether it’s Wang Wang or the Dalmatian, they are both troublesome. Perhaps, he was injected with a dose of hypnotic drug-induced excitement when he abandoned Sanders’ earnest counseling and returned to the center of the Mist Belt without hesitation.

Ha, this time he indeed made a mistake.

Angel no longer wanted to deal with these two little troublemakers and removed Heideland from his forehead, placing it into the spatial bracelet. At this moment, he didn’t want to see any Void Traveler anymore.

Angel quietly glanced at the red-haired Gluz Deward, recalling the things he had previously said, pondering if he could deduce his character from those words. After all, if the Dalmatian and Wang Wang failed, he would still need to earn a living under this Lord of the City.

Perhaps, not only would he need to secure his own livelihood, but he would also have to help fight for rights for the Dalmatian and Wang Wang.

It’s mentally exhausting.

...

While Angel was performing a monologue in his heart, Soul No. 03 in the distance had finally been entirely immersed by the blood-red mist.

At that moment, a horrifying power instantly swept across the entire sea area.

Time seemed to stand still under the influence of such power.

This power continued to spread rapidly, its speed of expansion exceeding the Southern Domain Wizards’ limit of understanding. Because, in just an instant, the power traversed countless nautical miles...

Thousands of nautical miles away from the Mist Belt, on a continent with the Devil’s Sea running through it, known as the Arch of the Devil. At this moment, in the several dozen principalities of the Devil’s Arch, almost everyone lost themselves for a brief moment, hearing a mysterious call, as if being summoned to go somewhere. Although they didn’t know where that place was, they all put down what they were doing, walked out of their houses, onto the streets, like zombies beguiled by something, heading in a certain direction.

On Feran Continent, in a branch of the White Shell Marine Transport, Bismarck, stationed here as the observer, had been bored for many years. He reminisced endlessly about his days in Sky Mechanical City, even missing the loving guidance of Mentor Sabo.

Every day, he would lean by the window of the tower, watching ships come and go at the port, people bustling like ants, while he imagined himself as a god, overlooking all living things. This was his only pleasure here.

However, today he discovered something strange; everyone at the port suddenly stopped.

Some were still carrying goods, getting crushed under the weight of their loads.

Others were holding racks, assisting people in higher places with transporting goods, but due to their pause, the higher-up people fell. One fell to their death, the other was crushed to death.

Of course, such misfortune was the exception, and most people were unharmed. After pausing for a few seconds, they lifted their heads, looking in a certain direction, with a mesmerized expression, and started walking forward one step at a time.

Yet, the direction they were heading was the harbor!

Bismarck watched as one by one, people jumped into the harbor as if unafraid of death, with a look of indulgent satisfaction on their faces.

”What is going on?” Bismarck looked at the scene in horror.

But in the next second, Bismarck’s gaze also changed. He seemed to smell a pleasant fragrance or maybe heard a friend’s call... he too turned his head silently, walking towards a certain direction.

To Bismarck, that direction was the harbor of his soul.

This scene was not only occurring in the Arch of the Devil, Feran Continent, but also in more places, including the Illusion Spirit Continent, Heroic Island, the Sitamaya Archipelago... All life forms existing around the Devil’s Sea were affected by this invisible force.

Even along the coastline of the Flourish Continent, similar occurrences were happening.

Everyone seemed to turn into fanatics, steadily advancing towards their sanctuary.

Such a scene naturally caught the attention of the Wizards’ Realm.

Some upper echelon wizards, having learned a portion of the truth through Zhuguang, the Speaker of the City of Truth, were already warning other wizards to stay away from the Devil’s Sea.

However, with the current information dissemination channels in the Wizards’ Realm, and the speed at which information spread, it could only possibly influence a very small fraction of people.

Many more transcendent individuals had no idea what was happening.

These uninformed transcendent individuals began choosing to approach the coastline of Flourish Continent, flying towards that seemingly calm, yet actually unpredictable and treacherous sea.
