Chapter 2309: Chapter 2310: A Panoramic View

Overlooking this scene, Angel couldn’t help but smile.

Unexpectedly, it wasn’t Greya who sought out the Treant, but rather it took the initiative to find Greya.

Is this a kind of fate?

”Should I remind Greya?” Angel pondered silently.

In the end, Angel didn’t remind Greya. She was still immersed in the joy of creation, and her speed was increasing, clearly entering an inspiration burst.

Angel didn’t want to interrupt her inspiration and even considered secretly delaying the Treant if it approached too fast.

With nothing pressing on Greya’s side, Angel turned his attention to Originheart City.

Originheart City remained peaceful, the only difference from before was that the city gates had started opening conditionally. Some authorized residents began cultivating crops around Originheart City, creating the first literal farms and orchards.

The gifts from the Dream Plant Fairies were quickly changing the established layout of Originheart City. Fresh vegetables and fruits had become a staple food for the residents of the Dream Realm.

Angel believed that when the Membrane of Rhythm gave birth to more Dream Realm creatures in the future, farm-raised meat might also become a dining table staple.

Angel’s gaze slowly shifted from outside the city to inside the city.

Perhaps due to the infusion of reality’s authority, the bodies of Dream Realm residents were no longer completely unharmed and unblemished. After piercing through this layer of unreality, the utopian dream world became unpredictable due to the suddenly worldly human hearts.

As Angel observed, small groups, disputes, fights, and resistance had already appeared. Although only a small portion, a certain reality-based seed had already begun to sprout.

However, this was something Angel had anticipated. The closer to reality one gets, the more one discovers reality.

The human heart is not easily manipulated.

Unless, from the start, they conducted brainwashing and full guidance on the residents of Originheart City, firmly establishing anti-intellectualism as a thought trap, they could maintain a surface-level utopia.

But this was not what Angel needed. He kept these residents in part to conduct experiments, and also hoped Jon could integrate into normal life.

The current situation actually aligned more closely with Angel’s envisioned true world.

Of course, before complete class division and opposition occur, it still seemed like a ”paradise” to outsiders.

Though occasional flaws could be seen, they were minor enough to be disregarded. With City Lord Monroe’s control, a relatively good atmosphere was maintained overall.

As Angel thought of this, he continued to overlook the scenery inside the city.

In the Marine Theater, Adar was playing the piano piece ”Fountain of Praise” on stage. Jon was not by his side, yet Adar played more passionately and vigorously than when Jon was present. The reason being that a few children were watching Adar with eyes filled with admiration and envy.

With the stimulus of his peers’ admiring gazes, Adar’s performance level exceeded his usual.

In a small house behind the theater, a few Dream Plant Fairies were peering into the room through the windows. At first glance, no one seemed to be moving inside, but a closer look revealed a few tiny people, only slightly larger than fingers, standing on a desk passionately discussing.

These tiny people were Kudodo and his group, discussing matters within the Tree Group Development Team.

From version 0.8 of the Tree Group to the updates for version 1.

Decimal updates are minor, such as patching existing loopholes. Integral updates must feature innovative functions, and what they were discussing was which functions to integrate into version 1 first.

Since most of their communication consisted of abbreviated codes, Angel was a bit confused, but seeing this positivity satisfied him.

Skipping the Marine Theater, Angel continued to wander about the city.

The Treehouse Bar, due to the establishment of a food supply system, decided to open a restaurant, and was temporarily closed for expansion; Flafiel was singing in the plaza, drawing a crowd; the patrol squads in knight armor walked along the cobblestone roads, making clip-clop sounds...

Everything, at least on the surface, appeared orderly, except for a grumbling gray-haired old man disrupting the harmonious atmosphere.

This gray-haired old man was none other than Nis, who had just left the library.

He was holding a thick stack of documents, with a gray cloth bag at his waist, containing a hard stone slab.

”Why did the magic power around here suddenly vanish? My carefully built energy network is wasted again, and I was almost done replenishing another node!”

”It must be Sanders playing tricks! Damn it, he can’t stand seeing me make a breakthrough!”

”Fortunately, Lianna said they still have magic power over there.”

”What’s that word Jon used in the Tree Group before... let me think, headline! Yes, I want to make a headline news!”

”Hmph, once I find the node of the Quest World, the headline will definitely be mine, and the entire Wizards’ Realm will focus on me, surely making that old guy envious to death.”

Nis appeared crazed, ranting loudly, but because of his status, the surrounding patrol squads couldn’t stop him, and could only watch him walk toward the Sky Tower, cursing along the way.

At the top of the tower, he boarded a Skycraft, leaving Originheart City with the Sin Hunting Group.

Angel glanced at their departing direction, which seemed to lead towards the New City.

This was understandable, as the virtual magic power around Originheart City had completely dissipated, making it difficult for Nis to continue his research. He had to head to the New City instead.

This was actually preferable—mortals belonged with mortals, while Wizards were better off living in the Wizards’ cities.

Because of Nis, Angel also took a look at the library. He thought Jon would be organizing books as usual, but the result was slightly surprising.

Jon was indeed at the library, but instead of organizing books, he was in the garden, holding a homemade magnifying glass, studying a plant.

He was muttering to himself, writing a lot of Chinese characters, English symbols, and some of his own annotations in a notebook.

Clearly, Jon was studying plants.

Seeing this scene, Angel seemed to glimpse the scene from his childhood, where Jon was researching plants in the Little Garden outside the stilt house.

The appearance of the Dream Plant Fairies had allowed Jon, formerly a botanist, to finally return to his roots.

This was indeed a good thing.

Not disturbing Jon, Angel shifted his gaze to outside of Originheart City.

Here, over a thousand miles from Originheart City, compared to the city’s calm harmony, the atmosphere here was one of killing tension.

In a temporary camp, nearly a hundred people were gathered in a meeting room, listening to a man with two heads speaking at the front.

”Those Mist of Sin creatures have reached the late initial stage, with more frequent appearances of mosquito-type beasts. To contain them, we need more Demon Hunters with flight capabilities.”

”Currently, the laboratory has three Mist of Sin creatures with flight abilities ready for integration: the Tentacle Butterfly, the Suction Cup Snake Eagle, and the Ammonite Star Chain. Is there anyone willing to try?”

After a moment of silence, dozens of people stood up.

The man with two heads had a look of relief in his eyes and silently praised, ”For the sake of Originheart. You are all exemplary.”

At this moment, a man clad in full knight armor walked into the meeting room, accompanied by a ten-man team. Their bodies were stained with copious amounts of pink blood, along with many writhing pieces of flesh.

These were remnants of the Malforce creatures from that pink Nest nearby.

The leading man in knight armor removed his helmet, revealing a face familiar to everyone.

”Sir Sabel!”

After a series of whispers, the man with two heads stepped forward, ”Captain, what is the situation outside now?”

Sir Sabel let out a long sigh, staying silent, yet everyone understood the urgency of the situation.

Seeing everyone’s dejected expressions, Sir Sabel thought for a moment and tried to offer some comfort, ”Don’t worry, I just received news that Master Tyson is already on his way here.”

”Really?” ”That’s great, with Master Tyson here, we can definitely suppress the Malforce creatures here!”

The previous oppressive mood was swept away with this single line.

Only Sir Sabel lightly concealed the concern in his eyes. Master Tyson was indeed coming, but... he caught a few underlying meanings from Master Tyson’s words.

The last Mist of Sin was controlled with the intervention of that presence and a lab was even built to study the Malforce creatures.

But this time, that presence hasn’t intervened.

Is it to test the capabilities of the Demon Hunters?

Can Master Tyson alone really withstand the overwhelming Malforce creatures outside?

”Alright, stop making noise. If Master Tyson sees you behaving so disorderly, he’ll definitely scold you for lacking discipline. Attention!”

”For the sake of Originheart,” everyone chanted in unison.

The man with two heads saw the crowd quiet down and approached Sir Sabel again, ”Captain, during your expedition this time, was anyone injured?”

Upon hearing this, a trace of obvious concern flashed in Sir Sabel’s eyes, ”Yes, Ollie, she...”

”Ollie met with an accident?” the man with two heads showed a flash of anxiety in his eyes.

Before Sabel could respond, the meeting room doors swung open, and a petite woman walked in, casting an annoyed glance at the two-headed man, ”I’m perfectly fine, don’t curse me.”

”Ollie!” The two-headed man finally breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing her unharmed.

Sir Sabel, on the other hand, looked at Ollie in confusion. Previously when they sent Ollie to the medical district, she had a gaping wound in her stomach. Now, seemingly just moments later, she seemed perfectly fine?

”Ollie, are you really okay?” Sabel asked with some concern.

Ollie nodded, giving Sabel a puzzled look, ”I’m fine, the medical district’s efficiency today was unusually high.”

Though still somewhat puzzled, Sabel didn’t ask further questions upon seeing Ollie’s well-being, deciding instead to check on the medical district after the meeting concluded.

Meanwhile, in the medical district, a person dressed in a physician’s white robe and wearing a mask that covered most of his face gazed toward the direction of the meeting room with a gentle smile. The professional robe on his body quickly vanished, and an upright figure appeared once again.

It was Angel.

The injury Ollie had sustained was naturally healed by Angel.

No matter what, Ollie was once from Pat Manor, serving as his personal maid. While Angel intended to use this latest Mist of Sin to train the Sin Hunting Group, he wasn’t cold-blooded enough to ignore Ollie’s grave injuries.

The Sin Hunting Group indeed needed training, but his feelings for Ollie were equally genuine, and these two things were not at odds.

Although he saved Ollie, he had no intention of revealing himself.

Ollie had initially joined the Sin Hunting Group without consulting Angel, so to avoid any awkwardness, he chose not to show himself. But regarding Ollie’s decision, Angel undoubtedly supported her.

Exiting the medical district, Angel looked at the distant pink mist covering the mountains, and his figure disappeared.

...

When Angel appeared again, he found himself in a dense forest, with a shallow stream by his side.

At first glance, there seemed to be no living creatures around, yet the ground was gently trembling. This tremor came with a certain rhythm, growing ever stronger.

It felt as though a giant was striding towards his location.

In reality, the situation was indeed similar, but it wasn’t a giant; rather, it was the Treant bearing golden fruits coming from the vicinity of the Mother Tree.

This Treant rarely left the area around the Mother Tree; this was its first time venturing out.

Previously, Angel thought that in reality, Treants moved quite slowly, and it shouldn’t disturb Greya’s creations. But unexpectedly, this Treant moved unbelievably fast.

In a short span, it covered hundreds of miles, from near the Mother Tree to these surrounding woods. And now, it was only a dozen miles away from Greya’s location.

To prevent it from disturbing Greya, Angel had no choice but to come here in advance to intercept it.

However, Angel had no intention of revealing himself.

Instead, he closed his eyes, connecting his consciousness to the Ability Tree, manipulating the Membrane of Rhythm. Using an ”afk” method, he started creating Dream Realm creatures in a frenzy through the innate will of the local land.

Fungi, mayflies, floating jellyfish, small gnawing beasts...

All appeared around Angel. Upon their emergence, Angel did not restrain them, letting them freely enter the water, burrow into the earth, or float in the air.

As a myriad of Dream Realm creatures emerged in the area, the once-quiet forest became lively at a pace visible to the naked eye.

The Treant’s original target was the insects near Greya’s location.

But distracted by these suddenly appearing peculiar creatures, its steps finally slowed.

As the Treant began to study these Dream Realm creatures, Angel exhaled a breath of relief, though not for long, as he noticed a small hitch occurring on Greya’s side.

Greya, who had been busy creating a myriad of strange insects, suddenly lifted her head.

She sniffed towards the Treant’s direction.

The previously dim eyes instantly lit up, as if bursting with golden light.

Greya directly stood from the ground, enchanted by the scent lingering in the air, and rushed towards the Treant’s direction.
