Warlock Apprentice

Lianna and Rhein, how could they not see Tree Spirit’s resistance? But after considering various factors, they still chose to open up a space inside the Eternal Tree, simply because there was no other more suitable place.

Tree Spirit mentioned finding a spacious ruin as a venue, which is possible, but the flow of information would be difficult to control. Moreover, every tea party features various public opinion battles. On Tree Spirit’s territory, they can at least control the narrative in the first instance and secretly guide the direction of public opinion to seek benefits and avoid harms.

Rhein’s explanation this time was very thorough. Although Tree Spirit wanted to argue, he couldn’t find a counter-argument.

Unless he could really find a place that could showcase the grandeur of the Barbarian Cave, control the flow of information immediately, and accommodate a large number of people.

Tree Spirit thought carefully... around the Pamiji Plateau, there really wasn’t a suitable location to be found.

If there were, he would have found it long ago.

Tree Spirit couldn’t help but droop his shoulders; it seemed he had no choice but to accept it in the end.

Rhein chimed in just in time: ”The tea party lasts only ten days to half a month, just endure it for a while.”

Tree Spirit didn’t respond, just let out a deep sigh.

Because of this helpless sigh, the air in the study seemed to become somewhat oppressive for a moment.

At this moment, Angel noticed that Sanders, who had been sitting with his eyes closed, focused on controlling the Magic Falcon, suddenly opened his eyes. He seemed to be pondering something, with a glint in his eye.

Immediately after, Sanders raised his head and glanced at Angel.

It seemed like just a casual glance, but Angel felt as if Sanders’ gaze was filled with unexplained meaning.

”Is he hinting at me?” Angel was a bit puzzled; he received Sanders’ gaze but didn’t understand his meaning for a while.

Angel couldn’t help but look up again, and found that Sanders was no longer looking at him, but quietly gazing at the sighing Tree Spirit. His gaze was calm, but it seemed as if a kind of power was brewing deep within.

Angel was taken aback for a moment, then looked at Tree Spirit again. Recalling Sanders’ gaze and looking at the currently dejected Tree Spirit, he seemed to understand something.

Sanders used no spell technique; he merely hinted with a calm gaze, obviously implying that only they two knew about this, and only they could implement it.

And what was related to Tree Spirit’s current emotions was the matter of the venue.

They knew something between them, and it was related to the venue. Angel thought a little, and a guess came to his mind: Was Sanders referring to the Wilderness of Dreams?

Was Sanders hinting that he should make an issue of the venue choice for the tea party? As for how to make an issue, it naturally involved opening the Wilderness of Dreams.

Angel had previously communicated with Sanders that the Wilderness of Dreams was sure to be opened because it was completely under his control. Once opened, it could bring significant benefits.

But how to open, to what extent, and at what time was still an undecided answer.

It was only said that when the Wilderness of Dreams could bring in real-world energy, a small-scale opening would be made.

And now, with the ”Energy Selection” authority acquired by Sanders, a virtual Magic Power has already appeared in the Wilderness of Dreams. It wouldn’t be long before real-world capabilities could be implemented there. Naturally, this would be the time for a small-scale opening.

So, is Sanders intending to use the tea party for this small-scale opening?

On reflection, it doesn’t seem impossible.

First of all, aside from communication and various comparisons, what the witches value most in a tea party are privacy, venue, grandeur, the ability to bring them shock, and most importantly, the ”tea.”

The Wilderness of Dreams perfectly fits all these conditions, and because it doesn’t consume real-world materials, even the most precious utensils and the most exquisite magical food and refreshments can be displayed without concern, making the presentation absolutely impressive.

However, Angel still had some concerns. He originally planned to start with small-scale internal testing before gradually opening it. Sanders’ direct hint to reveal it at the tea party, with the witches’ communication, meant that the existence of the Wilderness of Dreams would be instantly exposed to the world. Was this step too big?

Angel couldn’t help but look at Sanders again, who made a gesture indicating ”we’ll talk privately later,” clearly suggesting that Sanders probably had more thoughts on this matter.

Perhaps there’s another plan.

Angel nodded slightly, temporarily suppressing his words to discuss the matter with Sanders after the Star-gazing Day.

Angel and Sanders’ small actions went unnoticed by Tree Spirit due to his emotional state, but were fully observed by Rhein through spiritual power.

However, even Rhein didn’t understand what the teacher and student were up to. If Sanders were using a spell technique, he might have been able to eavesdrop, but they were just exchanging glances. And these glances, in Rhein’s view, didn’t hold any real significance, so he naturally couldn’t discern what Sanders and Angel were communicating about.

Of course, as a Silent Sorcerer, Rhein has the ability to listen to thoughts. However, such ”mind-reading” spells are noticeably obvious in execution. Perhaps Angel might not notice, but Sanders definitely would. If Sanders caught him, it would clearly indicate that he was eavesdropping. So Rhein refrained from listening to thoughts, only observing the duo’s small interactions calmly.

Once they ceased their eye exchanges, Rhein calmly remarked, ”You two, teacher and student, have a good understanding of each other, very harmonious.”

Angel realized Rhein must have noticed their covert exchange, but he didn’t know how to respond, so he pretended not to understand.

Sanders, on the other hand, didn’t say anything, just smiled faintly.

Seeing this, Rhein knew they were unwilling to talk about it, so he didn’t press further, allowing everyone their space.

...

In a flash, half an hour passed.

Angel used his Spirit Tentacle to search through the ruins several times and found nothing unusual... This was within his expectations, considering he had already searched before and used every means possible at the time, but found nothing, so it was even less likely now.

After retracting his Spirit Tentacle, Sanders’ Magic Falcon also flew in from outside the door.

”The Magic Falcon checked every area, including the ceiling, and found nothing.” Sanders concluded, echoing Angel’s findings.

Now, their only hope lay with Lord Rhein.

They hoped with the ”Eye of Truth,” a godly Third-level Spell, they could find the lost truth within past times.

Amid everyone’s anticipation, the Eye of Truth, which had been wandering outside for some time, finally returned and merged into Rhein’s brow. Simultaneously, Rhein opened his tightly shut eyes.

After opening his eyes, he didn’t speak immediately but pondered for a moment as if organizing his thoughts.

After a while, he cleared his throat and said, ”I used the Eye of Truth to search the entire ruin. Other than Angel, I didn’t find anyone entering here after the ruins were sealed.”
