Warlock Apprentice

”No.” Frode replied instinctively.

Sanders was silent for a moment: ”If he comes around recently, tell him I need to see him.”

Frode nodded, but after nodding, he suddenly remembered that in reality, wasn’t Angel supposed to have returned to the Barbarian Cave with Sanders? Why would Sanders come alone to inquire?

As Frode was puzzled, Sanders seemed to have read his thoughts and softly said, ”Angel has been in reclusive training recently.”

It’s precisely because Angel is in training that Sanders didn’t want to disturb him. However, he now needed to contact him, and thus thought Angel might visit the Wilderness of Dreams during breaks, which is why he asked Frode to convey this message.

Frode was not a fool; once Sanders spoke a single sentence, he immediately understood: ”I understand. If Lord Pat enters the Wilderness of Dreams, I’ll notify you first thing.”

Sanders nodded, then got up to leave.

Just as Sanders opened the door to walk out, his ears twitched, and he paused.

When he opened the door, it seemed there was another door opening sound? Moreover, was that sound coming from Frode’s office?

Sanders turned around in confusion and saw Angel walk in through the balcony door at the top of Sky Tower.

Sanders raised an eyebrow: What a coincidence.

Frode also hadn’t expected Angel to arrive at this moment; he opened his mouth, letting out an ”uh” sound, looked at Sanders, then at Angel, suddenly unsure of what to say.

Angel, however, wasn’t thinking too much. He looked at Sanders with surprise on his face: ”Mentor? Why are you here?”

Sanders walked back into the room, closing the door behind him: ”Before asking questions, shouldn’t you talk about yourself first? I remember Tree Spirit told me you were in reclusive training?”

Angel: ”Yes, I am in training. But just now the mini signal tower suddenly rang...”

Angel briefly explained the current situation outside.

Sanders paid no mind to the verbal exchanges between Greya and Lydia. Upon confirming Angel was temporarily free, he said, ”Your timing is perfect, as I have something to discuss with you.”

After sitting down, Sanders listened to what Angel had to say.

”I’ll take my leave for now.” Frode smartly said.

Sanders: ”No need, what I have to say you’ll eventually find out too.”

Once said, Sanders no longer focused on Frode but looked towards Angel: ”These past two days in Puppet Hospital, I’ve filled in the last data for macro energy expression.”

Angel’s eyes lit up; he had always been aware that Sanders was researching energy to help the Wilderness of Dreams usher in the Era of the Extraordinary. So, when Sanders mentioned this, Angel immediately understood his intention.

”Mentor means... it can be activated?”

Sanders shook his head: ”We need to wait a few more days; I still have one last step, calculating the coefficient for constructing an energy system, and determining if the limit of what this authority requires exceeds the current limits I can bear. If it’s within my bearable limits, we can use the Scroll of Fortune to acquire new authority.”

Angel understood and nodded. This step was crucial; previously Frode faced a setback because the selected authority exceeded his limit, causing the ”Celestial Alternation” authority to dissipate.

Although Angel could control ”Celestial Alternation” through the Ability Tree, it was ultimately a regret.

So, this time, nothing must be left to chance. The related energy authority must be controlled by us. After all, the authority to initiate the Era of the Extraordinary should never be handled carelessly. If it dissipates again, leaving the Wilderness of Dreams to independently construct an energy system, the final energy system might not align with the Wizard.

Angel: ”I understand. I’ll await the mentor’s good news.”

Sanders: ”To make my data collection more accurate, I need you to help me with one thing.”

Sanders paused and looked towards Frode: ”I hope Frode can attempt to fuse an authority. I will give a range for the authority to prevent Frode from facing the previous situation again.”

”The mentor wants to collect data on authority endurance?” Angel immediately responded.

”Yes.”

Angel: ”I’m fine with it; it’s up to Frode if he’s willing.”

In the Wilderness of Dreams, mastering a law-like ability is something Frode wouldn’t refuse. Previously missing ”Celestial Alternation,” he always felt regret. Now, with the opportunity before him again, he nodded without hesitation.

After confirming Frode’s willingness, Sanders said: ”I’ll help you set a boundary range for the authority, or you can propose what authority you want, and I’ll calculate whether you can endure it.”

Frode hesitated for a moment: ”I...”

”You don’t need to answer immediately; you can think about what authority you desire. You can respond the next time I enter the Wilderness of Dreams.” Sanders said.

Frode nodded; he could indeed let Sanders choose, but if he could choose himself, he hoped to do so. He wanted to select an authority that would benefit Dream Realm residents and promote the future of the Wilderness of Dreams.

”The next time I come in should be tomorrow night or the day after noon.” Sanders gave a timeframe, also for Angel’s hearing, as Angel’s opinion is the most crucial in authority matters, and deciding what authority needs Angel’s approval.

Angel: ”Is Frode’s data alone sufficient? I could push myself to endure another new authority.”

Sanders pondered for a moment: ”Your data isn’t accurate.”

”What?”

”After obtaining the ’Energy Level Limitation’ authority, I carefully speculated on the authority. According to the data I acquired, the core Ability Tree, at least under Legend, should not be something anyone could fuse with. Yet, you succeeded in fusing, so your data is difficult to use as evidence of endurance.” Sanders explained, ”Of course, whether you want to undertake new authority is your personal choice.”

Angel: ”I see... then I’ll consider it further.”

After finishing the conversation about authority, Sanders did not immediately leave but inquired about Angel’s current reclusive training situation.

Should Angel have any doubts, Sanders could take the opportunity to explain things to him.

However, upon hearing Angel was primarily self-reflecting and researching the Green Vein, Sanders fell silent... The Green Vein System was a capability he both envied and couldn’t grasp. In this area, he couldn’t assist Angel.

Even though Sanders couldn’t assist with the Green Vein System, self-reflection isn’t limited to it. Angel ultimately must go on a journey of the soul. In this aspect, Sanders was an expert.
