Warhammer Divine Throne

PS. Two updates today. The second will be in the evening. Please give your support!

Early September, Brittania, Arden Forest, at the end of the circular path.

Deni held a long spear, wearing a smelly leather armor. His hands tightly gripped the hilt of the longsword hanging at his chest.

This young peasant came from Bastogne. At twenty-one years old, he was still considered young among the peasants. His body was taller and stronger compared to other peasants, so it was only natural that during this recruitment festival, the Master Knight noticed him and made him an honorable infantryman.

The longsword hanging on his chest was handed down from his great-grandfather, and his family had used it for half a century. Despite being polished several times by the blacksmith, this sword remained sharp after all those years.

In addition, Deni carried a short bow on his back, which made many peasants green with envy. Not only did he have a sword, but also a bow! This lad was truly rich!

There was a reason for this. Deni’s family were hunters residing near Arden Forest.

Normally, in Brittania, peasants were not allowed to hunt, as all animals within the domain belonged to the Lord. Any peasant daring to poach would have their hands and feet chopped off or even be executed immediately. They were only allowed to hunt rabbits and birds.

However, in the Bastogne Duchy, things were a bit different. The Red Dragon Duke allowed hunters to enter the Arden Forest for hunting, and the game would be split equally between the lords and the hunters.

Of course, it was a dangerous occupation, but many peasants still tried. Deni’s family was such a hunter family, and due to his father’s exceptional hunting skills, he grew up eating some meat, making him taller and stronger than the average peasant.

Walking in the ranks, Deni always tried to stand a bit straighter and move a bit more.

Or rather, every peasant in the ranks was doing the same.

Everyone occasionally glanced at the tall and strong figure standing on the left side of the marching formation. He wore a full set of silver-gray knight plate armor, wielding a Silver Griffin Warhammer, walking alongside the path.

The golden Holy Grail Knight Badge hung on his chest, and his black parted hair revealed his blue eyes and handsome face. Waves of powerful aura exuded from him, and his presence was like the sun, illuminating the peasants’ hearts.

It’s the Holy Grail Knight! The Holy Grail Knight Laine Macado is fighting alongside us!

The peasants were full of enthusiasm, eager to make a name for themselves in this war, hoping to catch the eye of the Holy Grail Knight and be promoted, perhaps to sergeant or even ranger.

Julius and Gabriel walked together with Laine, speaking in low voices as they discussed Marquis Angxi’s strategic plan.

”The strategy of dividing forces and coordinating is Marquis Angxi’s military plan after more than a month of contemplation. Its aim is to ensure Brittania’s knights can maximize their advantage while ensuring the soldiers can exert enough combat power. If the entire army is congested in one place, it’s very likely to play hide and seek with the beastmen in Arden Forest. You know, Ten Thousand Demon Rock can move, and the knights’ army of over forty thousand people is a huge burden on food supplies. Therefore, Marquis Angxi must plan to resolve the battle within forty days,” Marquis Gabriel said gruffly.

Julius also gave his opinion as the Kingdom Knight, walking behind Laine with his hands behind his back: ”By advancing through three routes and sweeping the beastman warbands on the way, the beastmen will find it difficult to move Ten Thousand Demon Rock around. In this context, Marquis Angxi predicts the beastmen will be forced to engage in a decisive battle with Brittania’s army. Then, using magic communication, at least two of the three armies can quickly converge to outflank the beastman army, leading to an inevitable victory.”

The iron boots treaded on the soft forest soil, with leaves and humus crunching underfoot as the army slowly marched forward through the forest.

”If the beastmen refuse a decisive battle, even better. When the knightly army converges from three directions on the beastman camp at Ten Thousand Demon Rock, the beastmen will be doomed. Ten Thousand Demon Rock is the sacred totem of the beastmen’s strength and faith. Destroying Ten Thousand Demon Rock and the beastman camp nearby won’t completely eliminate the beastmen in Arden Forest, but at least in the next twenty to thirty years, the beastmen won’t be able to form a significant threat or a sizable beast tide,” Laine supplemented.

”So, Angxi-Desmond is not the dandy some thought. On the contrary, he has some capability. At least this strategic plan shows genuine thought, and I can’t find much fault with it.” Marquis Gabriel still approved of the strategic plan, though he was a bit worried: ”The plan is sound. I’m just concerned about Marquis Angxi himself. He has no prior experience commanding large armies and is eager to prove himself...”

”At this point, we have no choice but to trust him,” Laine concluded.

Marquis Connelly-Ascot, panting heavily, caught up from behind: ”Slow down, you three. I can’t keep up.”

The three figures ahead were all at the Legendary Tier, able to walk long distances to conserve their mounts’ strength. Among them, Laine even had the habit of not removing his plate armor except when sleeping.
