Warhammer Divine Throne

Chapter 308: Chapter 134, Territory Construction (Part 1)

The Lake Fairy naturally sensed the Dark Elf’s contemplative gaze.

To speak plainly, the Lake Fairy was very averse to having such a Dark Elf stay by Laine’s side, because her own stance and worldview naturally conflicted.

What’s more, she very likely recognized her, knowing her true nature.

Fortunately, Laine had long known her real identity and bore no grudge against it at all, otherwise she might have contrived a way to make this Dark Elf disappear from Laine’s side.

”My Lady?” Laine found the Lake Fairy sitting beside him and quickly wanted to get up, but was held down by the Lake Fairy, who shook her head, an exquisite smile playing on her divine face: ”Stay seated, my Champion, no need for such formalities between us.”

”As you wish, my Lady.” Laine then steadied himself.

Of course, he knew he was the Divine Chosen Champion of the Lake Fairy, different in status, but often rules are rules, and it’s one thing whether the Lake Fairy cares about them, another whether he does them.

Observing all the formalities is never wrong.

Moreover, the Lake Fairy... the Goddess is, after all, a woman.

”Laine, my Champion, you seem to be thinking of something inappropriate.” The Lake Fairy suddenly sensed something; Laine quickly denied it: ”No, my Lady, I was just wondering why you dislike the skull pattern?”

”Skulls, blood, they are symbols of Khorne, not mine.” The Lake Fairy shook her head, extending a delicate finger, gently tapping, making the floral illusion appear at her fingertip as the skull pattern on the shield crest was erased: ”I don’t like my Champion’s family crest having that pattern, remove it.”

”All right.” Laine had no objections. He didn’t care whether there was a skull pattern or not: ”Would the Lady like to propose some suggestions for her Champion?”

”Heh~ naturally.” The Lake Fairy pointed with a jade hand, and a chair flew over. She sat down beside Laine and pointed at the top of the shield crest: ”My Champion, you are a Holy Grail Knight, so you can use the symbol of the Holy Grail on your crest.”

Thus, a golden Holy Grail symbol appeared in the center of the shield crest on the book.

Laine also felt very satisfied; this symbol could instantly represent his identity as a Holy Grail Knight.

”Then, you will receive two ribbons to signify that you are my Champion... and your fighting figure for me.” The Lake Fairy’s white jade finger traced over the Holy Grail symbol, where the two ribbons intersected on the book’s pattern, forming a beautiful arc.

Thus, the new family crest for Baron Gene was completed.

The Lake Fairy was quite pleased with her design.

Finally, Laine wrote his family motto at the bottom of the shield crest: Death is the servant of the righteous.

”It’s done~ I love this crest, hang it outside your castle!” The Lake Fairy’s golden locks emitted a captivating fragrance as she picked up the parchment, flying past Laine. Under the Goddess’s divine power, the parchment revealed a complete and intricate family crest.

”As you command, my Lady.” Laine was also satisfied with the crest.

The family crest for the newly titled Baron was thus decided.

”Is this your castle? Show me around.” The Lake Fairy said to Laine, holding the Holy Grail aloft.

”Of course.”

So, Laine guided the Lake Fairy to explore his castle. His castle wasn’t very large, mainly equipped with a four-story main castle, while more lands were merely enclosed with walls, with large open spaces yet to be constructed.

”Laine, what are your plans for your castle?” The Lake Fairy and Laine stood together on the balcony, she asked her Champion.

”The current castle has many flaws and damages. I plan to reinforce and renovate it completely. I plan to build a stable on that empty plot in the front, Pinecone has followed me for years; it deserves a comfortable home.” Laine pointed to the empty lot below: ”And in that spot, I plan to build a training ground, my soldiers need sufficient training during leisure.”

After listening to Laine describe his detailed plans for his castle, the Lake Fairy nodded in satisfaction: ”Laine, my Champion, I can see you already have detailed plans for your castle, but before that, I might need to interrupt you... I have a small request for your castle.”

”Please tell me, my Lady, I will do my utmost.” Laine thought, I knew it.

”I need to designate a small area in your castle as my palace.” The Lake Fairy held the Holy Grail in her hand and took out a roll of white paper with a captivating scent from her arms, placing it in Laine’s hand.

Laine took the design and found that the Lake Fairy wanted him to add a spire to his castle.

This would facilitate her descending at any time, as long as Laine could continuously supply energy for her through Subspace Spiritual Energy, making this spire the Lake Fairy’s Divine Kingdom on earth.

Of course, this needs to be kept secret; neither Laine nor the Lake Fairy wanted anyone to know about their relationship.

After a brief consideration, Laine realized that a closer cooperation with the Lake Fairy was both his and the Lake Fairy’s hope. Despite some drawbacks, overall, building a spire ”palace” for the Lake Fairy in his castle was a beneficial act. Thus, after a moment of thought, Laine nodded with a smile: ”Of course, my Lady, I will build the most beautiful spire as a symbol of my devotion to you.”
