Three Towers Game

That said, Zhou Fei’s situation isn’t very good right now either.

Wen Xishu continues to manipulate Zhou Fei into performing meaningless and illogical actions. One moment he’s on the second floor, the next on the first.

Sometimes he even sleeps at the stairway.

As for the hidden talisman, Wen Xishu still hasn’t touched it; he’s waiting for the right moment.

These are long hours.

In the past, when Wen Xishu entered Deceit Tower, perhaps in just a few hours, he could unravel the mystery, maybe even enter Desire Tower.

But this time, he is patiently waiting.

In the process of Wen Xishu controlling Zhou Fei and waiting for the result, several more people suddenly awoke from the ward.

At the moment they woke up, they seemed to still have some awareness of their own, but just like that tea-selling old man...

Before long, these people ”died” immediately.

Afterward, individuals in white coats would come in and carry them away.

Wen Xishu speculated that at this time, ”they” had already turned into ”them.”

Because not long after, everything was very similar to before, they would suddenly chant some ancient texts.

And it was precisely this identical process that made Wen Xishu have a closer guess at the truth.

”First is the sound of something crawling inside the body...”

”I can hear these sounds, but as I said before, if these sounds can be heard, it means the thing inside is big... if there really are that many large ’things’ inside my body, I would have been dead already.”

”So these sounds may not be captured by hearing.”

”The sound of fleas jumping, not many people can hear it, but if fleas have ears, they can surely hear it.”

”These things will eventually occupy our brains...”

”Maybe they’ve already occupied a part, causing me to establish a resonance with them as they crawl.”

”Secondly... and most crucially.”

”Why are the things recited in Britney’s ’Light Illness Area’ spoken by these newly-bodied ’them’ in the Moderate Illness Area?”

”Also, I can feel something crawling inside me, which isn’t strange... but why can I feel it crawling inside so many people in the ward as well?”

The rustling sound makes Wen Xishu feel like thousands of cockroaches are crawling.

It is the momentum created when many people’s internal sounds gather in the ward.

”The new Good People in the Moderate Illness Area chant the things from the Light Illness Area... and I can hear the sound of insects crawling inside many bodies.”

”The result may be absurd, but it’s not hard to guess.”

Wen Xishu thought of a horrifying outcome.

”Hive mind. Or rather, insectoid mind. Everyone is sharing one brain, one mind...”

Wen Xishu once read a story about people bitten by a vampire turning into new vampires.

The first generation is supreme, while the second generation is quite special.

The first generation can directly issue commands to the second generation, or even control them; the second generation is basically their avatar.

Of course, if the first generation chooses not to control the second generation, then the second generation remains independent.

But if the first generation wishes, all second generations become their avatars.

They can even share the same sensations.

For instance, if the first generation experiences a climax, the other second generations would feel ecstatic too.

Furthermore, if the first generation wishes—it can switch perspectives at any time to experience others.

In a sense, Wen Xishu now is much like a first generation...

While Zhou Fei, Chris, and Britney are three second generations.

Because Wen Xishu’s will can be directly conveyed to the three of them. Under certain circumstances, the three can have their own conscious activities.

The four of them are dealing with another ”first-generation” of the same structure together.

Wen Xishu decided to temporarily call the hidden boss in the shadows the Great Kind Man.

After all, this place is called Good People Hall.

”This way, it explains why all the parasitized people possess some level of ’synesthesia’.”

”So I can hear the parasites moving inside their bodies as well.”

”And those fully parasitized can use synesthesia to gain the memories of other Good People.”

Theoretically, the highest completion ending is to defeat the main brain-like existence such as the ’Insect Sect Queen’ or ’Queen Ant’ or ’Queen Bee.’

But now Wen Xishu is far from having that certainty.

”First, find a way to locate the escape route.”

Wen Xishu has already deciphered much of the terrain in the Moderate Illness Area.

”The Moderate Illness Area isn’t the escape point... now it seems the most dangerous might be the Light Illness Area where Britney is, maybe the exit is there.”

It’s undeniable, once the role switched to Zhou Fei, Wen Xishu felt his thoughts instantly open up.

For now, though, he needs to settle Zhou Fei and switch to where Britney is.

Under Wen Xishu’s control, Zhou Fei quickly returned to the hospital bed.

The ”sleepwalking” ended.

Wen Xishu did not arouse suspicion.

”The most dangerous moment is when surrounded by three people in white coats, almost pressing their ears against me...”

”As long as I empty my mind and don’t deliberately think of anything, I can wake up the parasite inside me.”

”When these bugs crawl, Zhou Fei’s character can wander around the Moderate Illness Area freely.”

”But... it’s best not to do that. Because doing so increases the ’parasitic progress.’”

”I can’t let Zhou Fei’s character become a ’Good People.’

Wen Xishu lay down on the hospital bed, and the familiar prompt appeared.

[The current character is in a safe state and won’t attract ’their’ attention for a short period, meeting the switching conditions. Would you like to switch roles to Hero or Benevolent?]
