Three Towers Game

Evelyn shook her head:

”Regarding this child, Old Jin seems to have high hopes for him, but if you ask me what Old Jin is really doing... I’m sorry, Albert, I can’t guess either.”

”I’ve actually thought about whether Old Jin has gone mad. After all... the way he looks now, it seems like he’s dreading something. This isn’t like him.”

”Actually, once, when I was talking with Old Jin, I used my sequence power, trying to stir his emotions. Whether it worked, I don’t know, since my methods don’t seem to work well on you and Old Jin.”

”But that time, Old Jin did share many memories of when we all fought together. He actually misses those times and feels guilty for not fighting alongside you.”

Albert remained silent. Wasn’t he the same?

Evelyn continued:

”That day, Old Jin finally spoke a little more; he said he couldn’t leave because he didn’t want to die, and he was afraid someone would come to kill him.”

”He also said that the bunker isn’t absolutely safe, and perhaps someone from the Three-Tower World might come to kill him. I asked if he was sure about that?”

”He shook his head, unsure, but he had to act as if he was sure.”

”He doesn’t want to die, nor can he die; he also longs for a day when he can escape the current troubles.”

The topic had been veered off, but Albert didn’t mind. It seemed he had gotten a clue.

”Does Old Jin think... that he’s being targeted by an assassin? Someone from the Three-Tower Battlefield will kill him?”

Evelyn nodded:

”From what he said, that seems likely.”

Albert turned to Wen Xishu:

”Kid, what do you think?”

Wen Xishu said:

”If we consider Mr. Jin’s bizarre behavior as a puzzle, then the key to this puzzle lies in who exactly Xiaojin is?”

”Mr. Jin repeatedly asked you to create memories for Xiaojin, then delete them... you don’t understand this behavior. But I feel it’s like deepening the cover-up.”

”First, I have to assume Mr. Jin is sane and that everything he does is meaningful.”

”So, creating memories for Xiaojin could be understood as shaping Xiaojin; maybe the original Xiaojin... wasn’t friendly, honest, gentle, or kind.”

”But creating new memories, deleting them, and then recreating them... maybe Mr. Jin believes this needs to be encrypted multiple times.”

Evelyn pondered:

”Go on.”

Wen Xishu said:

”Two aspects; on one hand, it is creating some kind of fundamental color repeatedly, making Xiaojin a good person, deleting memories, perhaps cultivating Xiaojin’s fundamental personality. Even if one day, Xiaojin loses his memories or regains all memories...”

”Then, because of many different trajectories of kind memories, he can balance the original evil memories.”

”On the other hand, Mr. Jin believes that in the future, someone will be able to read Xiaojin’s memories.”

”So he creates layers of memories so that the person reading Xiaojin’s memories can only see and retrieve kind memories.”

”No matter what, what’s hidden in Xiaojin’s original memories is likely Xiaojin’s identity and the reason behind Mr. Jin’s sudden behavioral change.”

”So if there’s a way to read Xiaojin’s original memories... all mysteries could be solved.”

Albert was eager to figure this out.

But Evelyn expressed her helplessness:

”I can’t do that.”

Albert sighed:

”If you can’t do it, then no one in the bunker can.”

Wen Xishu said:

”Elder, can you awaken his fear?”

Evelyn thought for a moment:

”Perhaps I can try, in a specific environment... my sequence power can indeed arouse certain emotions.”

Wen Xishu said:

”If both of you think... this wouldn’t be offending Mr. Jin, I do have methods to discover Xiaojin’s memories.”

”Last time in the Great Vortex, Xiaojin experienced a deep-seated fear, so he might have recalled certain memories.”

”Which then led to Xiaojin’s memories being erased again by you.”

”So I think maybe fear can induce Xiaojin to remember something.”

”And in extreme fear, I could know parts of Xiaojin’s memories.”

Evelyn and Albert exchanged glances, neither expecting Wen Xishu to have such a skill.

”Really?” Albert was somewhat excited.

Wen Xishu said:

”Of course, although this might harm Xiaojin, I’m also very curious... what’s hidden in the bunker, what is Mr. Jin really hiding and fearing?”

Sometimes, people get caught up in a predicament and don’t trust their friends.

But it’s clear Mr. Jin and the old principal were life-and-death companions, and Wen Xishu also believes that no matter how big the trouble, the old principal can solve it.

He is the elder who can fight against Leo in the future.

Albert is a person who acts as soon as he thinks of something.

Wen Xishu is the same; both are the kind of people who deploy the launcher at the drop of a hat.

Albert said:

”Where is Xiaojin now? Let’s scare him immediately. Right now! I want to know what Old Jin has been through!”

Wen Xishu also cast a glance at Evelyn, indicating he was ready.

”I happen to have a facility at the Deceit Tower Academy, both of you know it well, and coincidentally... I can use this facility to simulate some scenarios.”

”But what’s simulated may not have the true effect.”

”To ensure everything goes smoothly, if you can evoke his fear—I am confident to dig out Xiaojin’s secret.”

”We can act now.”

Evelyn felt a sudden urge to support her forehead, these two—young and old—are really crazy.

But it so happened that—right now she actually knew Xiaojin’s whereabouts.
