Three Towers Game

Chapter 54: Revised: Chapter 45 Begging for Mercy

Wen Xishu had a hypothesis; the people in the Bunker came from the Three-Tower World.

The Three-Tower World originally was not in the Three Towers but existed in a real world, and places like Mo’en City and Jiangcheng could correspond to his original world before he traveled through.

He didn’t know what customs were prevalent in the country Mendemuir was in within the Three-Tower World.

But in his original world, in the Middle East, the status of women was very low.

The discrimination against women there was even more exaggerated than that from a white guy like Kane. But Mendemuir’s description was that he was bullied by women and got kicked out of the house...

If women in the Bunker truly had such high status, there wouldn’t be so many people like Park Mi-hye. Nor would there be beasts like Kane who sold women’s organs.

Therefore, unless Mendemuir committed atrocities, he wouldn’t have ended up so miserable otherwise.

The second person Wen Xishu wanted to kill was Mendemuir.

Mendemuir climbed quickly. His climbing ability was not inferior to Kane’s. After the recent stimulation, he no longer wanted to ponder if Wen Xishu was also disguising himself.

He only wanted to escape from this place as soon as possible! He couldn’t hesitate and lose like Kane.

That was indeed his thought, and soon he arrived in front of the music box.

Kane’s flesh had already been shredded by the tentacles. The remains of his flesh were spread in front of the music box, and one could see that Kane tried to reach out, with one finger falling to the ground, pointing at the box.

Mendemuir rushed over.

When his hand touched the music box, a different prompt indeed appeared in his mind.

[You have found an item that contains massive traces of sin. Do you want to purify it?]

The difference from the previous prompts was that there was an adjective ”massive” before ”sin”.

This made Mendemuir convinced that he had found the right item.

He was ecstatic and wondered if he should take Wen Xishu with him since that kid had analyzed things correctly.

But then he thought of how Wen Xishu wanted to take that flesh-eating pervert Zheng Zai with him, recalling the scene of Wen Xishu feeding Zheng Zai meat...

He immediately dismissed this idea.

Mendemuir was about to leave when something happened that froze his smile forever.

”Hel—”

Before he could shout for help, a large expanse of black smoke had already enveloped him.

Those grotesque tentacles wriggled joyfully for this newly arrived flesh. Mendemuir’s body seemed like a nest for tentacles.

He died.

He died with immense fear, panic, and confusion. The sound of the music box was high-pitched, as if cheering for the dead.

Upon hearing the music box, accompanied by the sound of flesh being torn apart multiple times in a short period, —

Park Mi-hye collapsed to her knees with a thud, her eyes full of despair.

”I... we’re all going to die, aren’t we?”

Park Mi-hye muttered to herself, on the verge of a breakdown.

This was just the first room, and within a short while, the team of six had become a team of three.

Now, the survivors were only Park Mi-hye, a madman Wen Xishu, and a perverted cannibal Zheng Zai.

Park Mi-hye regretted deeply for taking on this mission.

Not long after, the music box became quiet again.

Wen Xishu said:

”Let’s go. According to the path where the AFK mechanism appeared last time — the next AFK mechanism should be here where we are now. Let’s climb to the middle layer of the bookshelf to find a new hiding spot.”

Wen Xishu was very calm.

Park Mi-hye suddenly grabbed Wen Xishu’s hand, her eyes filled with pleading:

”Please... don’t kill me, okay? Wen Xishu, I know it’s you... I’m begging you, don’t kill me! Don’t kill me!”

Zheng Zai looked at Wen Xishu with some confusion.

Park Mi-hye had already realized that it was Wen Xishu who was using the rules to kill. She saw Wen Xishu’s smile from not long ago.

This made her shiver.

But Zheng Zai was still somewhat naive.

When Mendemuir had dragged Wen Xishu down, Zheng Zai wanted to rush up and help Wen Xishu.

But Wen Xishu stopped him with just a glance and a shake of the head.

Later, after Mendemuir died, Zheng Zai just thought that Wen Xishu had guessed wrong...

Apparently, the item to be purified was not the music box.

He even felt grateful to Wen Xishu for saving his life again.

But Park Mi-hye gradually realized that Wen Xishu was using the rules to kill.

He might not have done it himself, but he used verbal guidance to lead his teammates to their deaths one by one.

Park Mi-hye was somewhat intelligent. She also knew that Wen Xishu was a very capable person.

Once she considered the fact that Wen Xishu brought a level-sixer hospital back, Park Mi-hye began to doubt whether Wen Xishu was ever a lunatic or a fool in the past.

She even felt he was pretending to be weak but was truly clever and patient.

And not long ago, that smile of Wen Xishu’s made Park Mi-hye understand everything instantly.

More dangerous than the rules, was this young man!

”I swear, I will absolutely stand by your side, Wen Xishu, please spare me... take me out of here, please?”

Wen Xishu’s gaze was very cold as he faced away from Zheng Zai, looking at the kneeling Park Mi-hye with extreme indifference.

The light gradually faded from Park Mi-hye’s eyes.

She understood that even when she laid all her cards on the table, the other side wouldn’t take them... this meant that Wen Xishu had made up his mind to kill everyone.

Even if his intentions were exposed, it wouldn’t change anything.

At this moment, Wen Xishu’s image became somewhat terrifying.

She had tangled with many high-level political figures, all of whom were exceptionally clever individuals.

But looking at Wen Xishu, she felt he was a demon. A person with a demon hiding within.

However, Wen Xishu still spoke next:

”Captain, I don’t understand what you are saying, sparing you? But you should get up first.”

”Apart from this room, there are three different scenarios.”

”I can’t be sure I can figure out all the rules without relying on teammates.”

”The Deceit Tower is really frightening; so many people have died since coming in, and I don’t want anyone else to die, including you, right? But speaking of which—”

”There are still many rules to go through. I have to be careful not to analyze them wrong and cause you harm.”

Park Mi-hye was initially stunned, then quickly realized that Wen Xishu was warning her while also giving her a chance.

She nodded frantically, like a puppy trying to win over its master:

”I will be useful to you! You can ask me; I’ll tell you everything I know! I know about his business! I’ve heard things about his father! I can tell you everything!”

Park Mi-hye no longer cared about the various tasks. She just wanted to survive now.

She was also sure that Wen Xishu had actually realized her identity.

She didn’t dare to underestimate this young man anymore. She pointed her finger at Zheng Zai.

In fact, Park Mi-hye wasn’t very sure initially, but now, to stay alive, she had to ensure her value.

She felt that Wen Xishu seemed to care about Zheng Zai. Although Zheng Zai was a pervert, Zheng Zai had several times wanted to purify items but was stopped by Wen Xishu.

So she began to think frantically, whether there were any clues related to Zheng Zai among the officials she had slept with.

Fear and the desire for survival made Park Mi-hye’s mind much clearer.

She did think of some things, though not certain, but enough to prove her value.

Zheng Zai said in confusion:

”You... you know about my business?”

Wen Xishu was actually pondering what the real ”pollutant” was.

If it wasn’t the music box, what would it be?

He wasn’t very interested in Zheng Zai’s past, but he still made a casual goodwill gesture:

”Captain, tell him everything you know.”

Wen Xishu didn’t care about these things. His hand had already touched the invitation letter.
