Three Towers Game

Chapter 52: Chapter 43: Wen Xishu’s Game

This is certainly a very dangerous act.

Wen Xishu knew this too, but he observed very closely.

If Sita was not dead, if he did not have that scent of an animal, Zheng Zai could very likely be controlled.

Therefore, after one part of Zheng Zai’s desire had been satisfied, that control should become more intense.

He believed that, after alleviating his thirst for flesh and blood, Zheng Zai would definitely be able to regain control over his body.

So, at this moment, Wen Xishu chose to build favor.

Wen Xishu succeeded. Right now, in Zheng Zai’s eyes, he simply looked like an angel. Ever since his father was arrested, it had been a long time since he felt any kindness from the world.

However, in the eyes of the other people, this scene was extremely terrifying.

On Park Mi-hye’s once-delicate white arm, which had enchanted countless upper-class people... goosebumps began to appear.

A man-eating monster, and a pervert who greeted the monster with a smile and even eagerly fed it meat.

Previously, Park Mi-hye thought that Wen Xishu’s history was fabricated and that Wen Xishu was not actually mentally unstable. But now, in her eyes, Wen Xishu was far from normal.

Kane was also sweating coldly. He liked to embellish his reputation with all sorts of titles, which actually served to cloaked himself in an image of power—something a true strongman would never do.

Now, the feeling Wen Xishu gave him was that of a genuine strongman.

A maddening strongman.

This scene did not last long, as Zheng Zai had already gotten up and said to Wen Xishu,

”S-sorry, for letting you see me like this. I... I’m full now. Thank you, thank you. I feel much better, even better than just now. I think I can help you.”

He said thank you twice.

Wen Xishu just waved his hand. After some consideration, Wen Xishu decided to continue killing.

There were four rooms in total. According to the task description, there should be four items that needed purification. The four rooms likely corresponded to four different mechanism for finding the items.

Even so, Wen Xishu did not change his original plan—to kill all his teammates.

”Depending on your performance, if it’s good enough, it might be possible to survive, but it must be good enough,” he muttered to himself.

In this place where he couldn’t even guarantee his own survival, Wen Xishu didn’t mind staining his hands with blood at all.

He thought of who he should kill first.

”Do you guys want to come over? I think we can analyze some things.”

The others were still bewildered.

Kan, Mendemuir, Zheng Zai, and Park Mi-hye knew that for some reason, Sita was killed by a monster earlier.

But in such a short time, had Wen Xishu already analyzed the clues?

Park Mi-hye suppressed the fear she had of Wen Xishu and said as calmly and kindly as possible,

”What just happened? What have you figured out?”

Wen Xishu looked at the music box above, placed on the bookshelf.

The table was three meters high, and the bookshelf even higher.

However, climbing up wouldn’t be too difficult for everyone.

”Let me tell you a few points, I believe the captain also knows them, right?”

”First, the place we entered has an item that needs to be purified. We possess the ability to purify it.”

”Do you remember, the first time we climbed the tower, before our accounts were registered, when we went to the mission area, we had temporary identities? For example, I played the role of a rescuer, tasked with saving a little girl.”

”After our accounts were registered, the mechanism didn’t change. Our entry method still involved playing a role, but now we have our own IDs.”

”This time, our role is an Exorcist, exorcising this house.”

”Most likely, the falling parrot is some kind of evil object. It released a curse on an item.”

”Purifying the curse will attract the attention of monsters. If correct, it will harm the monster. If wrong, it will result in death by the monster.”

”Thus, finding the precise item to purify is our objective.”

”Before the monster appears, each of us will hear a prompt in our minds. Based on the women’s clothes and the nauseating sounds...”

”Some unspeakable crimes likely took place in this house. Including but not limited to... assault.”

”Moreover, the monster’s vision isn’t very good. At least in this room, it’s easy to hide. If I trigger the monster, I’ll die, but you will have enough time to hide.”

”So, theoretically, we still have five chances.”

”Oh, and the monster will disappear after the music box stops playing. To me, the music box is highly suspicious. At least for now, the music box hidden atop the bookshelf, considering its presence just now...”

”And its difficulty to obtain in this enlarged room—both these aspects suggest it’s the purifying item.”

”I think, maybe purifying the music box can reveal an item, allowing two people to leave alive.”

Park Mi-hye seemed to understand why Wen Xishu had gained the upper levels’ attention. He had only witnessed the monster killing once, and he already deduced so many clues.

But now problems arose.

Everyone, including Kane, acknowledged that Wen Xishu’s analysis was very reasonable. They felt this was how it should be.

But no one stepped forward to say:

”I’ll purify the music box.”

Wen Xishu had anticipated this.

No matter how reasonable it sounded, no one wanted to be the guinea pig.

What if Wen Xishu’s analysis was wrong, and the music box was not the contaminated item, then the person going to purify it would die for sure.

So everyone fell into silence.

Wen Xishu was thoroughly enjoying this round. Although he himself was in danger, his innate madness found it amusing:

”We should know, the door outside is getting closer. Hey, if we dawdle here, we’ll all die. Once the door collides, three more mechanisms of different monsters will come to kill us.”

”I have a bit of confidence in my analytical abilities. Of course, you are all very smart. If you successfully find the contaminated item, you don’t have to take me; you can let me help the remaining two teammates.”

”But that’s assuming I don’t open the box. Now it seems, no one here wants to open the box. Tsk tsk, then I might need to take action.”

”If I open the box, then I’ll take myself and Mr. Zheng Zai.”

”I believe you are all very clever; without me, you can definitely survive.”

Kane, Mendemuir, and Park Mi-hye were all visibly shaken.

They couldn’t analyze these clues in just one round; their analytical skills were not even on the same level. If Wen Xishu left, they would be doomed.

If Wen Xishu was wrong... in reality, they would only survive a little longer.

They couldn’t let Wen Xishu open the box. But if Wen Xishu didn’t, who would? Purifying the box also posed a risk.

Seeing the others hesitating but unable to move forward, Wen Xishu found it hilarious.
