THE GOD EATER

The crystal shield of the medium world also wasn’t as thick as that of a large world like Oceania. So it didn’t take a long time for him to get through it. However, the will of the world was howling at him throughout the whole process. Not that howling made any difference in terms of difficulty.

The will of the world was cursing at him and wishing him a gruesome death for what he and his people had done to it. He found the noise to be irritating, so he didn’t waste time going to the core of the world as soon as he entered the medium world.

There was no world king to stop him, so the core of the world was wide open for him to get to. The world tried to resist him by pushing him away, but he was too strong to be stopped.

In just a few seconds, he reached the core of the world. Then he entered the core and saw the objective he had come for.

He saw a large mountain made of stones of various colors and shining with light of various colors. This was very different from what he had seen the first time. The heart of the world was more vibrant and active, so the sight of the heart of the world made him smile.

On the other hand, the heart of the world wasn’t happy to see him. The heart especially didn’t like that they were so close to each other.

The will of the world said to him, ”Go away, you despicable demon. You’re not welcome here.”

His eyes were full of anticipation as he said, ”Come now. Don’t be like that. You are the ingredient that will bring me to greatness. So don’t be a stranger.”

Of course, the will of the world wasn’t convinced by what he said. It continued to shout at him, telling him to leave.

But just like he couldn’t convince the will of the world to surrender with a bunch of words, the will of the world also couldn’t convince him to give up on his goals with words. So he didn’t leave.

With the two of them at an impasse, the only thing that could break the stalemate was strength. Whoever had greater strength would get their way and force the other to do their bidding.

In this case, Loki was stronger. So, despite the world’s resistance, he reached out to the heart of the world with his hand and covered the entire multicolored mountain with the black force field of the Devouring Ability.

After it was covered by the black forcefield, the mountain shrank into a tiny ball. The tiny ball was then pulled into Loki’s Cave Heaven and into Fenrir’s belly in the core of the Cave Heaven.

As soon as this happened, he received a notification from the sect saying, ”You have taken the heart of a medium world that belongs to the five sects. You have been charged with a fee of 3,200 divine merit points, which you have to pay now.”

”It has been determined that you don’t have 3,200 divine merit points. Therefore, your appointment as an elder of the Four Directions Sect is rescinded, and your position as a Divine Lord under the Money Pathway will be taken away.”

”In order to lay off your debt, your soul will be enslaved. You are to be enslaved for approximately 3,200 years.”

”If your soul is intact after your service as a slave, you will be returned to the circle of reincarnation with no memory of your previous lifetimes. Please prepare yourself.”

As he read through the message, the sect was already taking action against him. No large hand appeared in the sky as he feared. Instead, the four Divine Positions in the core of his Cave Heaven began to riot.

He lost control of the four Divine Positions. Then the Life Fire began to burn through his lifespan and his Cave Heaven.

From the look of things, his Life Fire was going to burn his entire existence. He was curious to see exactly what would happen, but he was also smart enough to know not to stick around.

In fact, immediately he got the world heart, he had activated the Rewind Metac. So he was already on his way into the River of Time when the four Divine Positions began acting up.

On his way out, he snorted and said, ”The sect is being too serious about this debt. Don’t they give one month’s notice before they start asking for the debt? Or only mortals have that privilege and divine beings don’t?”

”Anyway, they are doing me a lot of good by breaking up my Cave Heaven for me. Since I don’t have to do it myself, I can escape faster than before.”

Because of the condition of his Cave Heaven and the rioting Divine Positions, he didn’t get to devour anything else. But he didn’t mind this.

In fact, he was happy that the work he needed to do to set Fenrir free from the Cave Heaven had been done for him. So he was gloating about it just as the physical world disappeared from his sight, and he was completely in the River of Time.

Then the Rewind Metac took him into the past. He became alone with his hopes and thoughts. As it was, he had a lot of hopes and thoughts going through his mind.

Of course, all of his hopes and dreams were about advancing to rank 7. He had a lot to say about this, but he decided to keep his thoughts to himself and even reduce them so that his expectations would be low.

If his expectation for the outcome of digesting the heart of the medium world is low, he won’t be disappointed too much if the outcome is not an advancement to rank 7. So he subdued his thoughts and hopes and tried to be quiet as he swam upstream the River of Time.
