THE GOD EATER

The death of the rank 6 swordsman with two Divine Positions had already rattled the community of divine beings. Now that someone as powerful as Monarch Golden Lion had died just two days later, everyone was now sure that there was a rank 8 divine being who was killing everyone for whatever reason.

They didn’t believe that a rank 7 cultivator could kill Monarch Golden Lion. Especially since she had died in mere minutes after calling for help.

Only a rank 8 cultivator, and probably one with a rank 8 cultivator, could kill her so quickly or force her to kill herself so quickly. They also believe that this rank 8 cultivator is a deceiver cultivator who can change their appearance.

They didn’t know who the rank 8 cultivator was or why they were going around killing people, but no one was willing to be the next target. So everyone ran away from the second heaven.

Even other rank 8 cultivators decided to keep their distance from the second heaven. Something about the whole thing felt strange to them.

Meanwhile, Loki had finally gained access to Monarch Golden Lion’s Cave Heaven. Then he wasted no time in assimilating her Cave Heaven and took her three Divine Metacs.

After he did that, he went to loot the Cave Heaven of the Four weak divine beings that the manifestations of Fenrir had helped him to kill. It took him a little over three weeks to reach the Four Cave Heavens and loot them.

After doing all of these, he activated the Power Identification Ability to see how much he had gained.

The sight of his power made him whistle and say, ”That’s a lot. It is surely too much for a single person to have.”

”If I saw this kind of power in another person, I would surely call them greedy. But since I am the one who possesses it, I have to call it fitting and well deserved.”

Then he chuckled and said, ”I have truly come a long way.”

The first thing that stood out to him was the size of his Cave Heaven. He felt that it was only recently that it was 469 million square kilometers.

At that time, he had been excited about getting 13 million square kilometers from the Cave Heaven of the four money cultivators that he killed and looted. But now, he has three times that 469 million square kilometers.

Of course, this increase didn’t happen magically. He had first hunted 8 divine beings and managed to loot 7 of them. Those seven helped him acquire around 210 million square kilometers.

In the previous timeline, he had only been able to hunt 4 divine beings and loot 3 of them as Gold Body. What he gained from the hunt was less than half of what he gained now, and it was all because he wanted to force the Thorn House of Commerce to give him more small worlds.

Things went differently in this timeline because he hid his identity and hunted his targets with a different identity each time. This was why he was able to hunt the rank 6 swordsman and the rank 7 Monarch Golden Lion.

The swordsman provided 124 million square kilometers, while Monarch Golden Lion provided 468 million square kilometers. Then, the four rank 6 divine beings that the manifestations hunted provided another 124 million square kilometers.

Finally, the four small worlds that he found through the divine constellation provided 23 million square kilometers. All of these little and large contributions from various sources are why he now has a Cave Heaven with a size of 1,418 million square kilometers.

When he thought about how large it was to possess a Cave Heaven like this, he said to himself, ’It is not as large as what Money Body is relying on, but it is 12 million square kilometers bigger than Oceania. So, technically, I should now qualify as a large world.’

His words made him chuckle with mirth. Then he said to himself, ’It seems I was right when I said that the 13 million square kilometers that I was able to save was just the start. After all, I now have 31 Divine Metacs instead of the 19 I had in the last timeline.’

The amount of Divine Metacs he possesses is the second thing that stood out to him. Even though the number of law fragments that he now possesses in his Cave Heaven also stood out to him, his attention kept returning to the Divine Metacs.

The Divine Metacs grabbed his attention because of their quantity and quality. Compared to the 3 Divine Metacs that most rank 8 cultivators possess, he now has 10 times that amount. If other divine beings knew about this, they would raise an eyebrow.

Even for him, this amount of Divine Metacs is eyepopping if only because it means he can support a Cave Heaven that is 80.8 billion square kilometers with this many Divine Metacs.

There is also the matter of quality. In particular, he now possesses three rank 7 Divine Metacs. Which means, he can use them to attract the attention of a rank 7 Divine Position and advance to rank 7.
