THE GOD EATER

He was satisfied with the point in time he came back to and his current circumstances, so nodded in satisfaction and said, ”This is good. I just gained the 500 divine merit points, and I have a lot of ways to increase the size of my Cave Heaven.”

He was in a good mood because not only are there three large Cave Heavens waiting for him in the second heaven to loot, but there are also four small worlds from the Thorn House of Commerce to assimilate, and a lot of hunting to do in the second heaven.

Anyone in his shoes with this amount of benefits waiting for them would also be in a good mood. But he is in an extra good mood because he knows what’s going to happen and can use that knowledge to gain more benefits.

This advantage put a smile on his face as he tore open a gap into the second dimension and rushed towards the second heaven.

When he got to the second heaven, he produced three more manifestations of Fenrir and released them into the wild. Then he headed towards the location of the manifestations of Fenrir that he had released earlier.

It was true that he had the advantage of foreknowledge, but this foreknowledge wasn’t all-powerful. For example, even though he knew where he was going, the time it took him to reach his destination was still the same amount of time that it took him in the previous timeline.

It still took him 8 days to reach the first Cave Heaven, and it took him 3 days to reach the second Cave Heaven. Then it took him 4 days to reach the last Cave Heaven. So the time it took him to get to the three Cave Heavens was still 15 days in total.

The main change that his advanced information brought to him was an improvement in how long it took him to breach the spatial channel that connected to the Cave Heavens.

He had breached six Cave Heavens in the second heaven in the last timeline, so he was very experienced with breaking through the spatial channel. This experience made it easy for him to gain access to the three Cave Heaven.

Since it was easier for him to breach the spatial channel, it took a shorter time for him to gain access to the Cave Heaven. This meant that the Devouring Ability didn’t have to work as much as it did in the previous timeline. So less of the size of the Cave Heavens was lost to the Devouring Ability.

In the case of the first Cave Heaven with the size of 97 million square kilometers, he lost 4 million square kilometers instead of the 11 million square kilometers that he earned in the last timeline. So he gained 93 million square kilometers from it instead of 86 million square kilometers.

For the second Cave Heaven, he gained 88 million square kilometers from a total of 93 million square kilometers. So he only lost 5 million square kilometers instead of the 8 million square kilometers that he lost last time.

Then there was the third Cave Heaven with a size of 100 million square kilometers. He lost 6 million square kilometers to the Devouring Ability this time around, not 9 million square kilometers.

As usual, his Cave Heaven had grown much stronger after assimilating the first two Cave Heavens. So despite his great skill, the Devouring Ability was still able to outpace him and steal more from him over time, not less.

By losing 6 million square kilometers from 100 million square kilometers, he gained 94 million square kilometers from the third Cave Heaven. But the number of law fragments that he gained remained constant. He still gained the same amount of 8,792,136 law units from the Cave Heaven.

All in all, he lost 15 million square kilometers to the Devouring Ability. Compared to the 28 million square kilometers that Fenrir ate in the last timeline, he has made a lot of progress.

This progress came at the cost of gaining 3,873 years of lifespan from the devoured Cave Heaven. This is less than the 5,291.5 years of lifespan that he gained in the previous timeline, but he was fine with this cost.

In total, he had gained 275 million square kilometers from the three Cave Heavens. It is an increase of 13 million square kilometers from the 262 million that he gained previously.

There were 20,444,345 units of law fragments from the three Cave Heavens. The six manifestations of Fenrir had also provided 520,000 units of law fragments over the 15 days that he was busy with the Cave Heavens.

He had earned twice as much from the manifestations because there were now twice as many manifestations to eat for him. This made him nod in satisfaction.

Then he said, ”Time to eat those four small worlds. Those slimy merchants should be done playing their tricks on them by now.”

This thought made him shake his head and chuckle. He found all of the tricks that the people of the Thorn House of Commerce were willing to play to get back at him amusing.

Over the days that he was looting Cave Heavens, he had thought about stealing the four small worlds before the Thorn House of Commerce gave them to him. That way, they would have to give him another four small worlds to fulfil their end of the contract that they signed.

The reason he didn’t do that was that the four small worlds belonged to the Thorn House of Commerce, and he would have to fight them for the small worlds. Since the contract also forbade him from attacking them for the period of one year, he couldn’t initiate that fight even if he could win it.

He would be breaking the contract if he intentionally initiated violent actions against the people of the Thorn House of Commerce, and the sect would make sure that he paid dearly for the transgression.
