THE GOD EATER

Nether Flame was the rank 7 cultivator among them. He was black from head to toe. Every part of his body was black, including the sclera of his eyes, which is usually white.

In fact, Loki couldn’t tell Nether Flame’s pupils apart from the rest of his eyes because everything was black. Nether Flame’s fingernails and teeth were black, too.

Nether Flame was also naked, so Loki was sure that every part of their body was black. As he observed the death cultivator, Loki found him and his shadow to be identical. Loki thought this was fitting for a death cultivator.

While he was examining Nether Flame, they arrived at their destination. There were two people waiting for them there. These two were a rank 6 cultivator and a rank 8 cultivator.

The rank 6 cultivator was a woman. She was the only woman among them, but she was definitely the ugliest woman that he had ever seen in his entire life.

The first time he met her, he wasn’t sure if she was the ugliest woman he had ever seen. But after thinking about it over many timelines, he had made up his mind on the matter.

Now that he was looking at her again, he was sure that in the long life that he had lived and among the many kinds of women that he had seen, he was sure that he had never seen anyone as ugly as her.

He had his reasons for saying this. The first reason was that she was fat, and her skin had hardened into a chitinous exoskeleton.

His second reason for giving her the title of the ugliest woman is that her exoskeleton was also full of holes through which insects could be seen entering and leaving her body.

The third reason was that her eyes were large compound eyes, and she had two antennas on her head. She also had wings on her back, and her legs had become jointed appendages.

So she looked like a fat humanoid insect. This is why he thought that slave women who had never showered and had been raped in an attempt to force them to breed looked better than her.

Of course, Loki didn’t care about her appearance. It didn’t matter much to him if she was the ugliest or the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. Her beauty and appearance wouldn’t induce anything in him or influence his opinion of her.

The only thing about her that mattered was her power. So he quickly used the Power Identification Ability on her.

When he saw her power, he nodded and said to himself, ’So nothing about her has changed. She is still as weak as ever.’

It wouldn’t have mattered if she were the most beautiful woman in the world. The fact that she was as weak as he remembered her would still be his opinion of her.

With this evaluation of her, he couldn’t take her seriously. He hadn’t taken her seriously in the previous timeline, when he was weaker than he was currently. However, he had to appear meek to her back then because he was supposed to be weak.

Now that some of his power had been exposed, he didn’t need to respect her. So now that he also doesn’t want to take her seriously, he can show how much disregard he has for her without behaving out of place.

After he was done evaluating her, his gaze focused on the last person among their group of four.

DIVINE METAC(RANK): Money Body(8). Money Power(8). Golden Light(8).

His gaze fell on the only rank 8 cultivator among them. This person was a man and a money cultivator like him.

The body of this man looked like it was made of gems and precious stones of various colors. He was shining like the most precious object. Even his eyes were multicolored gems.

This person was Money Body. He was the leader of the Thorn House of Commerce. This was the same alliance he had recently fleeced out of four small worlds.

In the previous timeline, when they met, Money Body had smiled, revealing his sparkling teeth made of diamonds and sapphires. But Money Body wasn’t doing any smiling this time around.

Money Body’s eyes were cool, and his demeanor was calm as he observed Loki. He didn’t look like he was angry at Loki. Instead, he looked as if he was observing something interesting.

Loki didn’t mind this behavior at all. Since Money Body didn’t appear to want to escalate the matter, he decided to behave as if the bad things between them didn’t exist.

In fact, he was still willing to show the appropriate respect to Money Body. So he smiled and bowed in greeting before saying, ”I am Gold Body. I am reporting for duty.”

The fat ant woman seemed taken aback when she heard his title. She immediately said, ”Aren’t you that new divine being? You replaced the old Gold Body. What are you doing here?”

As soon as she said that, she looked at the rank 8 cultivator fearfully. Then she kept her mouth shut and refused to say anything more.

But Loki still replied as if he didn’t notice anything wrong. He said, ”I am here because I signed up for the outpost mission.”

The rank 8 cultivator that everyone was afraid of finally spoke. He smiled as he said, ”Truly, the young are fearless. I am glad to see that you are brave enough to stand before me without begging for your life after what you did to my alliance.”
